I think Ceasar will join Law, if anyone at all and he even survives/stays out of the marines clutches. Oda has made it an explicit point to show us that Luffy thinks of Ceasar as nothing more than "Unimportant side character#3954" every single time Luffy even thinks about him, if he does at all. This is completely atypical of every SH that joined him. He is confused and annoying to them in a different way, if you get me. Depends how old it is. If we are talking real hardtack used on ships, there is a reason it was also lovingly called sheet iron or toothbreaker by those who had to eat it. It was made so hard because that way you could store it longer without having it mold or attract insects. Over time, it would slowly absorb moisture from the air though and get softer and softer until it got bad.

You could probably bite it dry, but doing so severly puts your teeth in danger. The human jaw is a lot more powerful than we ourselves realize, but that won't help you if your teath shatter.

I would also guess that whatever passes as hardtack today might be a lot more soft than what was used back in the day. It's probably pretty fucking hard, but not teeth shattering hard. Back in the day it was not unusual to strech the dough with saw dust and chalk, because that too helps conserve them ( and saves the bakers a lot of money)

It's a character's backstory. It shouldn't be about the world at large or secondary characters. It should be about THE character.

"I might've just killed my friend" is a hundred times heavier than literally any other Straw Hat's backstory. Brook's crew died and he was stranded for 50 years; that's really sad and it sucks, but it's not like it's his fault and he led a pretty fulfilling life up until that point. Robin's whole island was destroyed, which is pretty fucked up, but she didn't even fucking like it there anyways.

Chopper's backstory also offers us one of the more meaningful messages in the story, which is that people only really die when they're forgotten. This message is something seriously worth learning, a lot more so than, "People are fragile," or, "Everyone belongs somewhere."

I'm hyped for what conquerors haki can bring, Usopp sniping fights. Hell every upcoming Yonko arc is exciting I have no idea what will happen.

I've been thinking that One Piece may be in some huge cavern that's only accessible by water, and the cave walls are made of sea stone. Basically it would force devil fruit users to swim. Imagine Luffy and Blackbeard using all their will/haki to race each other to One Piece by swimming and breaking all rules when it comes to devil fruits. They become so strong even they can swim with a devil fruit. Then they have their final clash right next to the actual treasure of One Piece, that would be amazing.

Jinbe could kinda fit, but would be the odd man out in that his "dream" is just seing Luffy succeede, kinda destroying the theme of people having a big reason besides "I like Luffy as a captain" that drives them and can also be achieved by traveling with the crew. That and several other reasons make me think that Jinbe is not as 100% as everyone assumes. He might very well die or actually be dead already to add to the tragedy of WCI. Jimbe might die. MIGHT

Carrot's dream of "see the world" would be such a dream, albeit a weak one, hence why she is a maybe.

Not that guy but at this point pretty much all of the Strawhats main goal is to see Luffy become Pirate King. More than any of their own dream. Zoro, the most strong willed guy in the crew besides Luffy, gave up his dream and life for his Captain. So did Sanji. Nami, Usopp, Franky, Chopper, Brook, Robin, fucking everyone decided to grow stronger for Luffy. To see him succeed. So Jinbe's dream really isn't all that out of place. If anything, his is the most straightforward. No distractions.
