It was created by a living legend. And Alice was one of top 3. When you have 2 generations of geniuses then you will get a ton of customers. It's no wonder they were so popular. While himeya had 1 great undine, the rest was mediocre to say the least and chance of getting Akira wasnt really high. Same with orange planet where every undine was autistic. What did /a/ think about OL Alicia? I started watching Aria recently and am only on middle of season 2 now.

This is a bit long, so bear with me, but the musical situation in Amanchu is pretty awesome when you consider the history. Calling it or the OST an Aria rip-off misses some key points.

Amanchu and Aria are actually related, being from the same author, Amano Kozue.
As for the OST's, Gontiti and Choro Club (the ones behind Aria's OST) are known for their past work in the comfy anime soundtrack business - Gontiti did the soundtrack for the first Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou OVA, while Choro Club handled the second OVA.
YKK is also often mentioned along with Aria, both of them being healing manga with a particular focus on transience

It was a happy day in the comfy community when it became known that Amano's next manga after Aria would be adapted into an anime with an OST by a certified titan of comfy OST's.

That said, Gontiti's work this time around seems to be more narrow in scope compared to the first YKK soundtrack (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHyoL27mwDg), though the OST album shows more variety than what we actually heard in the anime so far.
