No, she has entire episodes dedicated to her because that's Evangelion's way of developing characters. Shinji, Misato and Rei, to a lesser extent Gendo/Ritsuko get some joint episodes.

She survives at the end because third impact saved her, which was started by SEELE, but hijacked by Rei to give Shinji a chance to choose. So she survives due to Rei.

The mindfuck sequences are poorly done and ineffectual. The use of atrocious and cheap CGI substantially increased from 2.0. The merch-selling characters (Rei, Asuka, Mari) don't age because of some "curse of Eva" asspull.

It somehow totally scraps the ending of 2.0 where Kaworu descends from the moon and stops Third Impact, and instead has the entire world destroyed by it. What the fuck Anno? Make up your god damn mind before you put something into the official canon.

Worst of all it yanks the carpet out from under anyone who expected 3.0 to be like the 2.0 preview trailer. At least now I pray that 4.0 could possibly not end up being what's seen in trailer at the end of 3.0: a huge CGI shitfest
