I wouldn't say it's a huge exaggeration. I like to believe she can warp reality somewhat because she showed Shinji all these possible realities he could have chosen from. Why would she ask him to pick a reality if she couldn't give it to him?
Yet again, it would have been in the LCL and not in real life but if she wanted to destroy an enemy, she could just turn them into LCL and make them live in internal torment however that's not in her nature.

She's not a person, she's a force of nature, something that happens. Anybody here read Shinji Ikari Rising Project? I was never really too interested in spin offs so I just skimmed through it, but her personality is more or less what I pictured her to be like if she weren't completely broken inside, so that was really nice, but since it seemed to be a typical love triangle that never makes any progress and never ends, I skipped right to the latest volume and apparently they changed artists halfway through (for the worse) and Rei had become your typical shy and flustered girl. It's as if character development had regressed rather than progressed. What a shame. At least Gendo's pretty cool. Asuka is Asuka. Yui is not dead. I liked volume 4 the most of the few I read. 14 the least, probably. I skipped a lot in between.

There's a lot of fanservice. It was hilarious at times, at others it's just annoying. It gets old fast, never been a fan of it. But if you are a fan of MC bumping into girls and falling into awkward positions, give it a try.

People can have ranges of types they find attractive. Rei Reigns supreme for me, but I also like characters like Satsuki & Mikasa (though I'd argue they're very much like Rei in their mettle if not their personalities). And If I had to describe the type of girl that most often grabs my attention it would be genki tomboys with a girly streak; not to bring 3dpd but the two gfs I've had were like that. Which is nothing like Rei but oddly enough they're very much like Alt-Rei >>2737737 So maybe that has something to do with it.

Whatever the reason for my fascination for Rei might be, I don't think it's because she fits a particular personality type I like. But whenever a character like her shows up anywhere it's almost certain that it will be my favorite character in whatever it is so who knows.

I almost never finish what I set out to do, that drawing for example is been unfinished for a few months (I'm only posting it because the manga picture made me realize where I might have lifted the idea from. I don't know if I'll finish it. It's why I admire our drawfag, his dedication got him to archive in a few months a skill level that took me a good chunk of my life to get to. I'll say this though, if you feel like drawing do it, if you don't then don't. Don't feel bad for dropping something if you weren't enjoying the learning experience itself.

That album and Gridlink's Longhena (same vocalist, his name is Jon Chang) are amazing. Recommended if you like a very technical and hectic style of Grindcore.

Rei is also featured on the album Bulldozer Commando from the band Jig-ai but she's ripped open there, so something that most of you probably aren't into.

Well, I'm gonna have to disagree. Glasses are just another potential way to accessorize. Looking good or bad depends on the person and the glasses. For example I think Rei looks really great in the pic I posted while Shinji looks terrible with those glasses.

I know Rei doesn't wear much in way of accessories, even her hairstyle is fairly plain but I think glasses are a good way to make her look a bit more fashionable and unlike headgear, or earrings or stuff that might distract from them, glasses literally frame her eyes which are her best attribute.

To me Rei in glasses says "These eyes are a work of art, admire them". And if you're lucky you get to see her take them so you look at them directly.

I get you. I'm really close-minded when it comes to glasses. If you were to ask a lot of people about it, probably the answer would be closer to "depends on the person and the kind of glasses" rather than a straight up always no, like in my case. They double as an accessory after all, people love to decorate themselves. When it comes to accessories I lean more towards necklaces and bracelets, but I'm not that big of a fan either.
