Literally the only things wrong with the recent chapters is the pacing and that Ishida didn't give Tatara at least one page of a flashback with the Chi She Lian and how he met Eto. Instead he wasted way too many pages on Suzuya versus Kurona.
The Tatara versus Houji fight in itself wasn't bad, it just should've been split up into three chapters. It's the people's own fault if they get themselves hyped up for such minor characters.

I really liked Akira until this chapter. It was pretty apparent that Takizawa was broken as fuck (what would you expect taking a CCG agent, turning them into a ghoul and then torturing them?). I'm not so sure about that. Arata + super strength + half ghoul must amount to a lot, even if he maybe doesn't have a Kakuja. He might be a Floppy, but Kurona is as well and she is very strong.

If there is anyone who would be empathetic to what Takizawa was forced to become, it'd be Amon.
in the original series, Amon did promise to protect him and Akira and was willing to give his life so he could live, but who knows Amon's present personality. That being said, he hated Marude and still saved his life and he also saved Saiko who was a stranger, so Amon hasn't written off protecting humanity.
I'd like to hope that Amon showed up to stop his old buddy and get him off the island, but he'll probably team up with Akira to take him down.
