The way Nichibros used females was funny.

I don't have to pretend, it's just not very captivating. I really, really, REALLY tried to like it because the animation is so good but I have yet to finish it since it's just boring. Too many gags fall flat.

I'd say that Joshiraku, which is even more specifically context heavy japanese humor, and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei which is similarly context heavy, are good examples of japanese comedy shows with context heavy and specific japanese humor, that did do quite well in the west

I don't hate Nichijou. But am I wrong in saying a lot of the jokes weren't funny? I know this could be subjective, but holy shit. This was a chore to sit through. The characters look funny, the music sounds funny, but the jokes just sucked. It was so boring despite the visuals, so weird.

Definitely Nichibros.

It was kinda annoying because Nichijou had a lot of potential. The characters could really play off each other, the animation could get wacky when it needed to. But the actual scenes in Nichijou are just so boring. It's very strange, how a colorful show could be so dull.

Nichijoi had a few funny skits. It wasn't as great as most comedy shows, but there was usually at least one scene in an episode that would get me to laugh.
