K-On Frontier will aim to introduce the franchise to a new generation of fans. It would feature senior and junior bands who in their own styles try to revive the light and fluffy music style and laid-back philosophy of HTT to a school heavily influenced by manufactured pop of the record industry and affected by a looming economic crisis.

It will also have a non-canon OVA K-On II Fuwa Fuwa Again featuring a future Light Music Club that became famous nation-wide while in high school and the student journalist following their career as well as that of a rival but equally famous high school band from another town. This will be animated by KyoAni but will not involve Yamada and Kakifly.

In Frontier TV we had Grace, Leon, president Glass, Bilrer. They all knew the truth about Varja and the plan to kill the queen and take the planet. Even Alto at some point learned about their plans and still agreed to help them. They all were doing (or supporting) Varja extermination, they all were ready to risk lives of people on Frontier.
So was Grace and Leon evil? Yes. Alto? No, he is obviously the good guy. But why did he agree to help Leon then? Was president good or evil? This question is much trickier. What about Bilrer?

Correct on the first part. It could have been the original Macross and transferred over to Xaos as part of their planetary defense contract for example, since that's their typical mission after a colony fleet lands anyway. Maybe it was cheaper to have a private company maintain and operate it than to keep that large of a NUNS garrison there.

Who knows about the one at Windermere, but it having been destroyed in the war isn't a bad guess. If it survived the war it might escorted any evacuees and then been reassigned as well. Regardless there's no sign of it thus far.

Habitation density I assume. The islands have been getting bigger over time, Island 1 in Frontier was huge compared to it's equivalent in Macross 7. Megaroad colonization ships only carried like 25,000 people, and the SDFNs had a small colonization city segment that only housed 10,000 people.

I mean yes they could do better as far as absolute numbers by doing it with a ship and no dome etc, but consider just how long people stay on these ships. Potentially more than a generation. So a city segment gives you a compromise between being able to pack people in and an environment that people will be able to handle psychologically.

At least that's my best guess.

I think animes should come with subtitle services nowadays. Sort of like what crunchyroll is doing. But like each Anime should have their own site. You pay a small fee for the series while it's airing.
