Guys you don't understand. The rate of chapter releases and inability to have good anime adaptions are a metaphor for Guts' suffering. His early life was terrible and full of hardships, devoid of hope, and his current journey has no end in sight despite being relatively happy at the moment.

Neither Guts, nor us know whether he'll ever see the final conflict with Griffith. Miura, like Guts could die at any moment, and it only becomes more likely as time goes on.

I think most of the people crying about the new anime just like whining. It's not any worse than the first movie, if anything it's better just because it's adapting something new. Yeah, it would be nice if it was done in the same style and using the same techniques as the old anime, but we all knew that wouldn't happen again when the first movie came out. I for one am enjoying Berserk immensely, and I'm not autistic so I can separate the mediocre anime from the fantastic manga.

Just watched it.

The drawn parts are really not bad at all. But the 3D is atrocious.

The direction and camera angles also feel odd, it does not feel like either the 90s anime or the trying to capture the manga.

Aside from the shitty 3D I kinda liked it. Its not what berserk deserves however. But thats what you get from a generation who has no taste in fantasy.

Think, if we didn't get the Golden Age trilogy movies, we might have gotten a proper anime.

The only reason they cut through the entire Black Swordsman arc, and the Lost Children arc, to skip to the back half of Conviction was because following the Golden Age movies (which came out really recently), most of the mystery of the Black Swordsman arc for anime-only viewers wouldn't be there.

They should have done it properly and done a Black Swordsman arc anime, then the trilogy of movies, then picked back up with Conviction.

Instead, we get this rush job that wants to get us to Conviction quickly so Griffith lovers don't miss out too much on their precious femboy.

This was pretty horrible, and every 5 seconds it was LOUD MUSIC SLOW MOTION ISN'T THIS COOL EVERYONE?

I've given up all hope on Berserk. At least we got a near perfect anime adaption of Hellsing. We can't win them all, I guess.
