Fusion Dimension and Dennis Jobbing soon.
Xyz is over next week and there's no duels. Yuya ain't getting an xyz, Yuto's dragons are his xyzs until the end of the series and they've completely forgotten about the Overload howling effect in favor of it's pendulum effect.
How did those spoilers ruin anything? We don't know who the "man" behind Dennis is and we don't know the outcome of Yusho and Dennis duel either.
I would say that people should keep their expectations in line and not overhype things like what usually happens here.
>Completely forgot about Overlord howling
The fuck are you talking about? He simply hasn't had a chance to use it since 88
Anime OERD requires DRXD as material to activate it
Both anime and game versions of it can only destroy up to level 7 monsters
Sergey's stuff was all level 8
Kaito's stuff was rank 8
I disagree. We needed a little bit of time in XYZ to get a feel for the kind of shit Academia did firsthand. And personally, I'm pretty happy with it ending at 13 eps. That's all it needed to show everything and have some skirmishes with Academia to act as a prelude for Fusion arc.
>get a feel for the kind of shit Academia did firsthand
I mean we've already seen what kind of stuff Academia has done in the XYZ dimension through flashbacks of Shun, Yuto, and Sora. They don't do anything else other than card people which we've already known beforehand too. So, I don't really see why we need to get more of a feel for it. If anything it hurts Academia's cred in my eyes since Tyler sisters and Edo were taken out rather easily.
Denny's. Would you like to try our Rank4 for 4 deal?
My sister has fallen heads over heels for this entertainer kid. Please help.
We saw it, yeah. But I felt it was more gripping to actually witness the entire experience of watching the people of XYZ struggle to survive by relying on each other in the lone bastion of society while seeing their lone defender go on a borderline suicidal crusade to wipe out every academia soldier he finds
It didn't do any favors for the credibility of their named XYZ based forces, but it did make their past actions far more chilling and in your face, which I appreciated.
Sorry, the service is too kurosucky.
Its too late, she won't stop until she has a taste of the Tomato
>Aqua Actresses will never receive Xyz, Synchro, or Fusion monsters
Leaving Standard at all was a mistake.
She has a worthy boss monster now at the very least. Just a shame it doesn't share the aqua actress buffs.
It's too late. Nobody can resist his charm.
You will also eventually fall victim to it.
Legendary Collections was their last chance to fix this shit.
It's not like it's the only vanilla monster whose English name made no sense.
Damn why are they so hot?
>Is there a chance that Edo will come with team EGAO?
Edo will most likely die next episode. Theres no all those soldiers will do what he says after losing. I mean could you imagine him saying " Hey guys don't kill this man please he just showed me how wonderful Egao is " nah. He will probably die while giving Yuya and Co enough time to leave.
I hope we get NTR end and Gloria steals tomato away from Yuzu. Bonus points if Grace joins in as a tsuntsun addition.
Extra bonus points if Yuzu just finally fucking dies.
You got the names wrong. Grace is the one who is thirsty for Yuya, Gloria literally doesn't care.
Stratos is essentially E and R with an Attack right?
What do you think of this as a balanced version?
>Elemental HERO Tropos
>When this card is normal or special summoned: you can activate one of the following effects.
>Add 1 "H - Heated Heart", "E - Emergency Call", "R - Righteous Justice", or "O - Oversoul" from your deck or graveyard to your hand.
>Add 1 "Hero Flash!!" from your deck or graveyard to your hand, and if you do, add any banished "H - Heated Heart", "E - Emergency Call", "R - Righteous Justice", or "O - Oversoul" cards to your graveyard.
>Your face when OCG print a Kaeru archetype.
>character centered around creation and life
I get that people are obviously going to be a bit biased in a general, but is this one worth picking up?
Pokemon recently stepped its shit up, but as someone who's been turned off of this series since the abominations that were GX and the one with motorcycle racing, is it worth picking up?
That's it for the filler.
Don't fall for the card games on motorcycle meme, littlekuriboh regrets even saying that. Give this series the 7 episode trial, don't be fooled by the colorful lights and immediately dismiss it. Once you pass the 50 episode mark, start marathoning it or it will seem extremely slow.
Thanks for giving it a shot.
Opinions may vary. I think that this definitely has the potential to be the best series. However, one thing that no one can deny is that this is the most heterosexual Yugioh series yet. In case that matters to you.
Absolutely. At the very least, watch the first 7 episodes, by episode 7 you should know if it is or not.
Imo not really, especially if you couldn't stomach GX or 5D's at the least.
The animation is a lot worse than Pokemon XY, so coming in to see some visual spectacles with giant monsters is also not really a good reason.
>abominations that were GX and the one with motorcycle racing
GX and the first half of 5Ds are infinitely better than any of the trash that is the pokemon anime which didn't get better it just has more budget and added more generic anime tropes.
GX and the first half of 5Ds are legitimately good anime that got butchered by dubs and because funny internet meme man makes fun of them everyone in the west thinks they are bad. There is a reason GX is probably the most beloved series in the franchise that can rival DM nostalgiafaggotry.
And its not JUST because of how handsome Judai is.
When we get the right animators, it looks gorgeous. The problem is it's super inconsistent.
Forgot to mention the number one rule.
EITA IS THE ULTIMATE FAGGOT
With the main series games, Pokken, the card game, increased sales in general, and soon Pokemon Go, they have some money to spare for the show. It gives them a huge source of new merch, so it's worth shelling out big bucks to improve the writing and animation.
Because Kenn didn't drain the budget like Ono does. Arc V's budget mostly goes to paying their high profile VA's and at times struggles to pay their MC's VA which is why we went long stretches with little to no Yuya duels when the budget was getting drained by the movie. Let's not even mention how they couldn't afford Reiji's VA period.
Having only 2 out of 113+ episodes to be considered skippable filler so far is very good, especially compared to the other 3 spin-offs at that point. You could watch them after you catch up.
I'll be honest, I'd take a worse VA for Reiji if it meant we got more duels.
The biggest problem is that the show struggles to reach even a passable level of animation quality when it isn't one of their in-house ADs directing (of which there are like 3 out of a dozen).
Inconsistency and some QUALITY is normal for a Yugioh anime, but even when so many of the stills are poorly drawn, something stinks.
Even trying to ignore the animation problems, the general art direction is somewhat more generic than past series (besides GX), especially after the show abandoned unique action duel fields.
Some of the first round Friendship Cup duels are skip able. I think Dennis vs Shun is the only one that really has any impact in the near future.
only 26 eps left
XYZ arc so rushed
Sauce? Or is this just another case of an anon presuming he knows how seiyuu contracts work with their own baseless assumptions?
They would have been working out what they can't/can afford during the pre production process, and all this 'VAs take the budget' nonsense immediately has holes punched into it by the fact that there are almost always cheaper 2nd choices they could have decided to go with.
There are always seiyuu who out there who could use more work, including newcomers trying to break into the field, which ultimately keeps most salaries low. A lot of the more famous seiyuu supplement their income with events/interviews/character songs and other additional things like that related to what they do, rarely do they get lavishly paid from the actual job, since charging astronomical (relatively) prices places you out of the competition.
Each and every episode has a component of the plot in them. Even if you don't like the episode, they all had something relevant. You can fast forward through them, but you still have to watch them.
Episodes are done months before they actually air, anon. The only reason Arc-V was so good in Standard was that they were made prior to the staff being pushed towards working on DSoD, and you can quickly see everything nose-dive because of it.
The problem with saying that is: the skippable duels in early friendship cup are still arguably worth watching and even at their worst they're nowhere near as bad as actual filler eps in shit like zexal/5ds part 2/gx
To go down the list:
Tsukikage/Shinji: Reira obsesses over his brother, Reiji explains that he wanted Tsukikage to lose all along, and Shinji is established as a charismatic revolutionary (from the opinion of commons) looking to turn society on its head
Yuzu/Enjoy: Yuzu is trying to reach Yuya emotionally and cheer him up since she knows he's upset about his loss vs jack (It's also a fun duel)
Yuya/Ni Ni Nana: Not a great duel, but it all but outright shows academia's influence in synchro and explains the true mentality of the City
Sawatari/Yugo: A fun as fuck duel between a ham and a retard that also hints at plot details
Dreamy-eyed maiden Edo was cute too.
for a moment I though I saw yugi hair in there
The greatest spoiler was announcing Jack was coming back. If they had said nothing and suddenly Jack's silhouette appeared in UNLEASH the internet would have exploded and Arc-V's ratings would have sky-rocketed, but because they just HAD to say something everyone was mildly disinterested until they announced the episode Jack was going to be dueling in.
Have you ever noticed how easily the Arc-V threads get dubs?
What a waste of a character. They gave him a fucking flashback, showed his inner conflict between wanting to have fun like a kid versus being forced to go to a harsh school, and showed him at the end getting disowned by the school.
Smug yuya is wromg. Sick and wrong!
yeah i warned you about synchro
but look on the bright side
due to the large expendable cast and need to up the stakes in the plot
the ending is going to be barian invasion on crack
hell maybe we get yuzu talking to a megane nerd and then arbitrarily deciding to murder all her friends
i mean it worked so great for shark
It's pretty obvious Synchro WAS extended. Yuya shilled a Starter Deck, Reiji's cards were released months before he even played them, there were two re-cap episodes, nothing about the main plot was advanced, and we were literally in the same place going to Heartland that we were leaving Standard.
If they wanted to bait people to boost ratings, of course they would announce it beforehand, so people tune in. Otherwise they'd be relying on word of mouth to get the news out that Jack is a legacy character in Arc-V.
KENN's contract was dirt cheap because GX was his big break. It was after his career that KENN's career took off and its comedic how little he was making on GX considering he was one of the bigger male idols at the time.
I do not have the figures but it has been discussed to hell and back how characters like Yuya, Reiji, and Mieru have absurdly high priced and popular VA. Why do you THINK Reiji literally kept showing up and not speaking for about 20 episodes? Literally no budget was left thanks to the nostalgia cashgrab movie to pay Yoshimasa Hosoya who if you look at his filmography you can understand with how many big name anime he has voiced in and just how large his body of work is.
Now look at Kensho Ono's, Yuya's VA, body of work and you will understand why we had stretches of episodes where the main character would not duel and some where he barely spoke. To put it into perspective if you wanna know a big factor of how popular Ono is he fucking voiced Harry Potter in the Japanese dub.
This just in. local ruri not so smug after being nerve gassed
Anyone got any art of new Silent Swordsman and Silent Magician. I love their designs so much. Oh, if only they didn't require having another warrior and spellcaster on the field to special summon them. I don't know any warriors and spellcasters that could even mesh together well enough to run both cards.
I'm aware of Hosoya and Aoi Yuuki's resumes, but a shortage of money isn't always the explanation when plain incompetency is also a possibility. What if they simply didn't want to use Reiji much during Synchro, considering his position as a leader?
If they were struggling so much with paying VAs, why even bother getting Akira Ishida back (who has an even larger presence than Hosya) rather than a reasonable 2nd choice like Manjoume or Johan?
THIS JUST IN
Local Girl Recruits Young Child Into Left-Wing Extremism, Asking If He Wishes To /ss/!
>There is a reason GX is probably the most beloved series
It's literally because:
-Takes place in same universe and pays homage to DM.
-Came right after DM so it grabbed those viewers.
The only way Synchro and the pacing of this WHOLE SHOW is worth it is if we are somehow merely in Part 1 of a Two Part series
Like if Arc-V ends with a legendary BAD END, then yeah this pacing makes total sense
I rather enjoyed Synchro arc as a whole, but it really pisses me off that it was so hurt by that fucking nostalgia pandering movie, because there's so much more they could've done with it in that amount of time
>I do not have the figures but it has been discussed to hell and back how characters like Yuya, Reiji, and Mieru have absurdly high priced and popular VA
Also, 4chan threads are not reliable sources you ingrate. How are you so sure their contracts on Arc-V are extremely expensive without any actual word from staff?
Yuzu will discover Ruri and Rin are not being held against their will.
Leo will explain to Yuzu that the dimensions need to be fused to prevent them from collapsing in on themselves.
Leo will find a way to rationally justify the Hunting Games, just to plant enough doubt in Yuzu's mind.
Yuya will come to rescue Yuzu, but she will hesitate.
Yuzu will try to explain that she needs to stay so everyone will be saved, but Yuya will refuse to listen.
>that gif of serena sucking reiras reira
Could be, but it's not 100% sure until the series is over. >>143444100 and >>143444237 are right in the regard that all the episodes have plot, character, and world building in them, no matter how little, so none of them can be skipped when watching ARC-V for the plot.
Absolutely. They get their decent share of trips as well.
What if he's the man that returns in 113? Nah.
Except for the fact he kept showing and suddenly when the movie was finished and the budget returned he dueled for the first time in years? Did you think it was a coincidence that once the movie went into production the synchro arc really went at a snail's pace with worse animation and the big name VA's suddenly becoming a lot quieter?
This is not the first time this shit has happened, there is a precedent for movies ruining Yugioh seasons by sapping the budget and ripping out half the staff to work on a movie. This literally happened during the Bonds Beyond Time movie production, and that coinciding with the sex cult scandal is the reason the second half of 5D's was so fucking terrible.
Why would they hire so many VA that are so pricy they struggle to pay for them? I don't know Yugioh productions have always been half retarded. They got addicted to voice appeal thanks to KENN boosting GX. Not to mention they never plan for the execs to ruin production with movies so they hire tons of high profile voices for fucking nobodies.
Leo describes HITOTSU-NI to Yuzu Leo says he had Yuri capture the Ruris to prevent the boys from hurting them. "You've seen that darkness inside of Yuya, haven't you? You say he would never hurt you, but you've seen him hurt people, Yuzu..."
Its also easily the best series out of the lot of them, particularly Season 4. Its the only series thats even a legitimately good anime. DM is bad, sex cult ruined 5D's, Zexal is unsalvageable garbage, and ARC V is still in progress so its still to be decided.
Because logic? These characters suddenly stop doing anything when the budget is drained by the latest movie and suddenly the characters voiced by cheaper VA's are doing a lot more in the plot? Or do you think that the higher profile VA that have much larger careers told the staffing director "no no, I want to be paid equally with all the no names!".
C'mon anon, use your fucking brain.
The last reported ratings (for the last 2 episodes of Synchro arc) were like 0.9.
For reference, Zexal mostly hovered around the high 1.0 to low 2.0 range.
>when the movie was finished and the budget returned
But the majority of Xyz arc looked like ass, and the next episode also looks garbage, too. Arc-V has struggled with animation from the beginning.
If somehow it's true that their high profile VAs (or their agencies) actually price gouged a production like this, then it's the staff's fault for hiring them on in the first place and failing to account for the future. That's not on the VAs, that's on the incompetency of the producers and director.
I wouldn't worry about it
Anyways buy more dragons guys. Theyre good for your deck
DSOD as a ~2 hour animated movie would have been in the works for a long time, and would have been a factor on everyone's minds when the studio was working on Arc-V at the same time. So, you're telling me that even when DSOD was churning in the background and they had a tight wallet, they decided to jump right in with the most high profile seiyuu they could get their hands on?
It's no wonder Arc-V has been the way it is, it's handled by morons.
>Arc-V has struggled with animation from the beginning.
Go rewatch the first season when we were in the honeymoon period and ratings were good as well as we had preprepared episodes. Now the budget is back but nowhere near full force since the ratings are meh at best, so we are at a middle point between synchro quality and standard quality.
>actually price gouged a production like this
That isn't price gouging? They are popular VA that are allowed to ask for more money. More talented/popular actors have higher going rates than fresh face nobodies. It is the director's fault for hiring so many big names at once, its the executives' fault for ripping out staff/budget for another stupid movie, its not a VA or their representatives to ask for a higher amount than less talented/popular actors. The VA and their management didn't suddenly ask for more, they already had a high going rate.
Again, Yugioh staff got drunk on having a pull like KENN but they are not gonna find another golden goose like him because they were his first big gig and they seem to rather go for big name stars rather than risk lightning striking twice.
Don't forget that during synchro the director was busy shitting up another series and the VAs for Yuya and Reji were both in about 3 other anime that season. All of this and they still picked Aster to come back when his VA is also super popular and expensive? They're out of their fucking minds. Of course they are. Remember at first they wanted Yuya and Yuzu's VA's to do all the Yus and Ruris voices. and the only reason they stuck with Yuri and Serena is because they're very under developed and basically evil Yuya and more aggressive Yuzu.
Dystopia Guy is dogshit literally because of Smile World. It was clearly designed to interact with Smile World's stupid effect with its own terrible one. So now Smile World also has "ruined Destiny Hero revamp" in its resume.
My opponent had 2 monsters with 2500 of Def and I had 2 with 2500 of Atk and one with 2000, I used Smile world and then I had 2 big ass monsters with 3000 and one with 2500, given how my opponent had 1000 LP left I won.
No, you aren't using logic. This whole budget issue has never been mentioned or discussed. It's just Arc-Vfags looking for excuses as to why the show isn't using characters correctly. Characters stop doing things because the show is poorly written. Not because they can't pay them the contracts they've been given. Contracts aren't given on an appearance by appearance basis. They are contracted for a span of time and work however much they are given in that time span.
This budget excuse needs to die.
>and ratings were good as well
Post them. You keep saying the budget is gone but have no proof.
>That isn't price gouging? They are popular VA that are allowed to ask for more money
That's not how it works. VA in Japan usually don't stick around long. Megumi Hayashibara was interviewed on this recently. Most anime VA only get a few roles and are phased out after that. You really overestimate how much these people make.
>Characters stop doing things because the show is poorly written. Not because they can't pay them the contracts they've been given.
Have you ever considered that its merely both?
>Contracts aren't given on an appearance by appearance basis.
Anon, please stop talking.
>Most anime VA only get a few roles and are phased out after that.
Yes. Most. Not the fucking star studded cast that Yugioh decides to go for consisting of long standing big names and current exploding names, you absolute dunce.
Imagine what actual effect he could have had if he didn't need a crumby destruction effect attached to the nonfactor of stat changes. He likely would have still been trash but I hate how BAD the new Destiny Heroes are considering how some of the old ones have aged surprisingly well.
At least Serena has got to appear outside of flashbacks and get something resembling character development.
GX is pretty bad honestly. Season 4 wasn't even that good either. It's the latter half of Season 3 that's the only good part. The story is all over the place and has no idea what to do with itself.
>Yugo and Yuzu finally find Serena.
>Yugo runs at her calling her Rin and gets punched in the face.
I just want Yuzu and Serena to interact again or rather I want to see Rin having to apologize to her 3 counterparts about Yugo who will likely go into some sort of stupidity overload if he's in the same room with all of them at once.
It's better than everything that came after it and had direction by season 2. S1 was more episodic while S2 had an overarching story from the beginning as did the next two arcs.
>Yugo busts into a prison tower to save his waifu
It is still better than pretty much the entire franchise. Dark Signers almost actually was a truly good and coherent run but then sex cult and BBT happened so GX is still easily the best we've got.
At least GX had a lot of fun duels, easily the best cast outside of FUCKING MAEDA, and I personally enjoyed how extreme and weird it got. Also Judai best boy and the only MC that had a good character arc.
>DM is bad
Zexal is so much better and consistent than GX that it hurts. The story is consistent, the production values are much higher and the characters aren't set aside to make the MC look good. And DM has the best writing out of all the YGO shows.
GX are 5D's are the only bad series so far.
For comparison, here's the GX watch guide covering episodes 1 - 104 as by the time season 3 hit, every episode then was pretty much plot. According to the guide, there are about 20 episodes that can be considered skippable without loss to the plot and 16 episodes that are borderline interesting watch/skip. I myself wouldn't recommend skipping any of them as even the skippable episodes can be a fun watch.
There's also a few things I disagree with on the guide, like how wrong it is on 85 - 86. 85 is the episode with Pegasus and 86 is the most filler episode to ever fill. 40's description fits more with 43 than 40, along with 40 being a duel against one of the Seven Stars, yeah...
I'll agree that GX had the most fun duels mostly because they were all one-off gimmicky duels since there isn't much of a plot to the show.
I'll also agree Judai has the best development for a protagonist as far as the anime series are concerned.
Everything else wasn't very good though. So at the end of the day all you have are some fun duels and a good main character which is pretty imbalanced. DM, 5DS, and Arc-V are more balanced and better executed series even with all the sex cult crap that happened to 5Ds.
I agree than Zexal is good. It gets way more hate than it deserves because people dislike Yuma. But for you to say that GX and 5Ds are bad when Arc-V is doing exactly what you complained about GX doing (setting characters aside so the MC looks good) is laughable.
5D's watch guide covers its 2nd half with episodes 65 - 154 whereas the first 64 more or less had plot in it in some form or another. 30 skippable epsiodes according to it and the formatting done of this guide shows no borderline.
Though apparently that guide can also be taken with a grain a salt
, and I would agree when it says that a 2-part filler is considered as essential viewing.
Finally, ZEXAL's guide covering all of ZEXAL I. 6 skippable according to it, but I can't argue with it on the episodes themselves much since I have only watched the first 8 episodes (Along with 9 and 30 sometime back.).
As for the guide itself, it could use better detailing in the okay blocks like GX's did to signify which are interesting and which are "downright stupid" outside of episode 39. Also, 5D's guide could probably use a total rehaul, and GX guide might need a few tweaks.
Yes, Zexal was good. Yuma was insufferable, but the other characters were pretty okay, and it had the best production values out of all the YGO series. The Barian arc is also much better written than both the Yliaster arc and GX season 4.
Reiji will get his moment of glory as a villain but then everyone will hate him. The only way his character can be salvaged is if we see a Vanguard: Legion Mate-like development where Yuya turns evil and Reiji is the new MC trying to save him.
>Yuya is with Grace
Does that mean Masumi is going to steal Yuzu?
It isn't just about Reiji and Yuzu. It's about every single character being sidelined this arc. Yuya is literally the only Lancer that has won a duel. Shun, Sawatari and Gon have only won single tag duels/battle royals when they had Yuya on their team. Everyone lost to Kaito except Yuya. 4 people lost to the twins so Yuya could look better by beating them. Edo didn't even get a chance to look good and was just treated as fodder by Yuya. Yuya is reaching Yusei levels of Jesus this arc.
>where Yuya turns evil and Reiji is the new MC trying to save him
>implying the last 10 episodes won't be Reiji trying to stop Hitotsu-ni Yuya and failing, but managing to keep his and the other Yu's knowledge after the universe resets
>Reiji will get his moment of glory as a villain
I don't think so. I think he'll get his moment of glory by doing something important, like freeing Yuya from the influence of full-power Hitotsu ni by beating him in a duel.
>Yuya is with Grace
You know that as soon as he sees Yuzu again literally no one else is going to matter, right?
Ehhh, I'd say there's a lot more filler in zexal than that list shows.
A good 10 eps at the start of part 2 is almost completely irrelevant
A lot of part 1 is largely filler disguised as important things (heart piece collecting) or character introduction eps for characters that never do anything or grow at all (the numbers club)
Not to dissuade anyone who wants to watch it, but I don't think that list gives a proper description of zexal compared to how in-depth the 5ds list is about its filler garbage.
>Nah Yuzu.is just a friend
>this is what Gracefags actually believe
>he doesn't know what NG+ means
Do a flip.
I miss the annoying Yuzu and Shunfags who died out after Standard ended.
>Yuya is reaching Yusei levels of Jesus this arc.
Then he'll be hit by Judai levels of Supreme King.
Doesn't really affect me too much, as I plan to watch all of ZEXAL, then the 2nd half of 5Ds after that, but for those that do, all 3 guides could use a version 2 with each of them going through the entirety of the series.
What is Yugo a City Champion of? What about Ren's Circus? If the universe reset at the end of the anime and the manga follows that, is Yugo being a champion a memory illusion of some sort?
I'm not sure they can.
Yuya's the only one who hasn't been teleported by bracelet-kun even once. So, barring anything of the sort happening soon, it appears that only Yuya is immune to it.
113 - The Thirst for Carnage: Yuya and co. go to Fusion Dimension and run into Dennis. Behind Dennis is a man whom Yuya has fought in the past....
He's suffered enough, please no more. His cards don't even get printed.
There isn't enough time for it, since he'll have to go through an arc similar to Judai. The best we're probably going to get is Hitotsuni wrecking shit, gets stopped, Yuya becomes mindbroken for a few episodes, regains his composure from Yusho or Yuzu, stops the big bad etc.
>Goes to Yusei's house to get homework help
>He ignores you for some boy he found a day ago
>Yusei gets kidnapped and you lead the charge to save him
>He gives you a helmet and makes you hang off the back of his bike
>Wear a slutty riding suit with your curvy body on full display
>Only that stupid shiller notices
>Go dressed up as good as you can be to say goodbye to him before you go to Europe or something
>Kiss is almost happening, it's romantic as fuck, could finally win
>He holds you there and calls you a close friend then playfully tells you to get on out of there.
>He actually trusts you with his ace monster and most treasured possession and you manage to summon it alongside your own
I think she out did Asuka in how cucked she was through to be fair Asuka never made any obvious passes at Jaden to come shuffle her deck. In fact, it felt like Asuka's crush on Jaden only existed as some sort of obligation due to her being the only female character in the show. I still don't know what the hell they were trying to do with Blair returning in season 3, she did nothing, her cards sucked, she barely had a relationship with the main characters and she didn't even duel more then 4 times. It's like they wanted another female for the sake of one and scrapped her when they saw she wasn't popular or interesting. GX was a mess of bad ideas.
Not enough time. If it happened now it would be rushed as hell. Especially if they tried killing off his friends to break him. There isn't enough time for Yuya to go through a large character arc like that while developing the rest of the cast. Instead they are building up them gathering a large army of allies.
Why send in a jobber when you can send in THE KING OF QUIZZES?
>there are people who actually think GX is the best show here
>I FUSE QUIZ SPHINX AND QUIZ MONKEY

Maybe it's fought in a less direct sense and it's actually Roger.
who is this?
A bit of both. Could be easily shopped in.
He's got Tsukikage now.
THIS IS THE ARC-V THREAD. I FORBID YOU TO POST ANYTHING NOT ARC-V RELATED
GO MAKE A GX THREAD ON >>>/a/ ALREADY YOU STUPID NOSTALGIAFAG
No, their love is pure
>tfw no Yuya and Sora
i might as well kill myself tb h
I miss Sora. He finally got to come back, but only got one duel and not even a single new Fusion.
Pffft I think i know when im looking at Yugoslavia
You say that in every thread and people laugh at you for it. No one can consider someone with so many flaws a Gary Stu. Especially since his flaws are relevant to the show and detrimental to him.
Possible candidates for the man in 113:
>Strong Ishijima, Eita, or Kachidoki
All decent choices that would link into what's going on in Standard, but all are not very likely. Having it be Eita would make his episodes no longer be filler.
Holy shit when will his faggotry end?
>Gongenzaka, Sawatari, Sora, Reiji, Kaito, Edo, Shuzo, Chojiro, Jack, Crow
>Takeda, Umesugi, and Duel Chaser 227
>Hokuto, Michio, and Sergey
>Any of the names listed in those 46 off-screen duels
Sure, why not.
Guys. What if it's Reiji?
Reiji said he had methods of finding Yuya and co. What if they get their final fuel to test whether Yuya is ready to take on the Fusion Dimension?
Be honest anons, how important is Arc-V for you? Don't be honest just with me and your fellow posters, but be honest with yourself.
>I'll begin: Arc-V is what keeps me going, life is meh. I don't know what I'll do when the show ends. I don't think another YGO could ever take its place just because it's a synthesis of (almost) all of YGO. I don't even watch other YGO anime nor other anime at all, so I don't see all the negatives you guys see with Arc-V.
I care about it enough to want to see how it ends, but that's about it. Arc-V is damaged goods for me now, my only hope lies in a new series with a hopefully better direction.
It's probably not a good idea to get this attached to an anime and be so insular, anon. Being a big anime fanatic is one thing, but being this clingy to one specific show that honestly isn't particularly exceptional or great? Broaden your horizons.
For me the main reason I haven't dropped it is to see how they finally explain the bigger mysteries of the show.
Can we even take this much
>Plus, I'm literally in love with Yuuya.
>should not be possible
Yeah, it's so hard to beat a guy who can barely walk unassisted in something like an Action Duel. I'm not saying it's impossible for Dennis to lose, just super embarrassing if he loses to a cripple when he has such a huge handicap in his favor.
I thought we agreed it's
Its not to late anon you can save yourself from a life of sin
I just want it to end so hopefully the next series learns from its mistakes. Yugioh series with gimmicks as the main selling point always do worse than series that focus on normal duels.
I'd dig a rematch.
Post your face when the series ends and they somehow solved all the mysteries.
Don't do it anon! At least wait until the series is over first.
Go find lewds or buy lewd doujin instead.
And it's too bad all of them get significantly less screen time than Yuma and his idiot squad.
No dont! Youll unleash the destroyer of jigens
is pathetic how Yuya has to rely in action cards to save his ass while the others are doing it ok with just using their deck
How dare yuu! Just try and get him
I know, both series handle their good characters terribly. Zexal didn't give the good characters screen time and Arc-V keeps having it's characters disappear and reappear besides a small select few.
It's not mindless whatsoever. I found ZEXAL a genuinely grating experience.
I hated Yuma and Astral for each being so bland and having such an uninteresting team dynamic after they reached ZEXAL
I hated the duels thanks to how much they relied on sitting on one boss monster for the entire match, but mostly Yuma's thanks to the added irritation of HOPU spam and double-up-chance
I hated how every character except Yuma, Shark, Kaito and the Arclights were complete wastes of space with barely even much in the way of personality aside Anna.
I hated how the Barian arc rushed Shark's character so hard that he flipflopped into seeming like an unreliable jackass when it had 10 full eps of absolutely nothing to set it up at the start of the arc, which, while good for establishing the barians as not adverse to life on earth; it did a poor job of balancing that with making them feel like actual threats.
I hated how half-assed Dr. Faker felt as a villain.
I hated how the heart piece duels before WDC finals were effectively filler against no name characters.
I hated how Don Thousand had absolutely no personality and the blandest possible deck with a final boss monster that's was only threatening because Shark decided to not bring out 101 that day.
I hated how the last duel portrayed no actual strategy and relied on rank up spam aside one neat bluff by Yuma towards the end
All of the above is additionally made worse by the fact that the best part of the show; the Arclight family, has a criminally small amount of relevant screentime compared to everything else.
Dude, literally everything you are saying applies to Arc-V.
The Lancers have a bland team dynamic and don't even seem like friends
The duels have been the villains sitting on boss monsters while Yuya spams the field
Every single character is irrelevant to the plot including those who should be important like the Ruris and Yus. Most of them don't even appear
Edo just had rushed development
Leo is so removed from the plot that we can argue the show doesn't have a villain right now. We don't even know his personality
Duels from standard were against no name characters and felt like filler
The duels are Yuya getting outplayed and then saving his ass with an Action Card
If you hate Zexal you probably hate Arc-V too or you're a hypocrite
Production values don't mean shit if the product doesn't deliver. I like Zexal but if you are saying it's better than other shows because it's prettier then you don't really have an opinion worth discussing.
Thanks for the sequential replies. I was expecting an entire season off. That's a relief. Speaking of, how long has passed in universe? Less than 2 weeks since they left right?
Almost every thread until Dennisfag is carded.
This is why we go to IHOP
>Bland team dynamic
>Villains sitting on boss monsters while Yuya spams
Largely true, but Dennis, Sergey, and Sora are subversions to this. Additionally, Yuya spamming different things is a step up from Yuma sitting on his one boss.
>Every character is irrelevant to the plot
Not at all. The plot is the dimensional war at large and there isn't a single important character who doesn't take relevant action in this regard; in synchro dimension alone- Reiji arranged for the lancers to enter the friendship cup and for tsukikage to head underground, Yuzu convinced Sora to change sides which allowed tsukikage to initiate the jailbreak which started the commons rebellion, Yugo halted Roger's plans with Selena and removed her as a bargaining chip, Yuzu hijacked Roger's martial law broadcast to warn about academia and to advise Yuya on his next action, Shun aided Yuya in reaching the duel palace, all of the lancers held off the rioters, and Yuya united the city and thereby secured potential support vs Fusion.
>Edo just had rushed development
Indeed. However, Edo is a minor character, so it's not as big of a deal. Notice I didn't complain about the other barians not getting development; just an already developed character doing a complete 180 in a couple eps without any hint of it beforehand.
>Leo is removed from the plot
Indeed. Leo isn't a very good villain whatsoever so far; however, Roger and Sergey were.
>Duels from standard were against no name characters and felt like filler
No argument there.
>Action card complaint
Yuya at least needs to physically work to get those; he doesn't just shining draw into his out...aside the odd magical boss monster thing that every protag from Yusei onwards does.
>If I hate Zexal, I hate Arc-V or I'm a hypocrite
No. Not saying Arc-V is god's gift to anime or anything, but it feels largely better focused than Zexal via having everything be of minor genuine plot relevance; that alone improves the full experience
Not that important. However, I've seen 111 episodes and I never drop a show so I'll see it through to the end. It's had its ups and downs but overall I feel it's a decent watch. I'm more hyped to watch the movie though so this is helping me fuel my YGO anime fix until the movie gets to theaters here.
I genuinely love the show. It's had its low points, certainly drags out some things too much, and definitely doesn't use its cast to its fullest; but, unlike every other YGO series, I've always found every single ep enjoyable to some degree.
I'll be sad to see it go.
36 eps left... how many eps till we see ruri's deck?
Hey guys, remember me? I'm going to be the 3rd GX legacy character.
Dennis, Sergey and Sora rarely duel. Sergey had what, three duels and is dead now.
Now how are those characters doing today? What impact are they having on the plot?
Edo was the villain of a whole arc. He's anything but minor. He's a shit character and duelist but definitely isn't minor
Sergey wasn't a good villain. Roger was decent but Tron blows them both out of the water.
The physical argument holds no merit since 90% of the time whatever he needs to use them to stop is going to wait for him to get the card. Attacks will move slow, spells and traps will move slow, etc. If he got duds more often it would improve them a tiny bit but that isn't going to happen. They just make him look less skilled than his opponents
Arc-V can't even figure out how to deal with the villains and dimensional counterparts. It has no credible villains this late in the show. The plot can be as focused as it wants but it's not leading to anything worthwhile because one of the most important things, the villains are nobodies. The Obelisk Force was just taken out by the dozens by Kaito. Why would I believe that we need people from Synchro to help when one Kaito is more than enough to beat tons of people? Yuri has only beaten fodder with outdated decks and Leo the main villain is a blank slate.
How would you guys like a mind controlled Serena in a duel trio with Dennis and Yuri? Maybe Rin and Ruri as well so they can actually be relevant.
It would just be forced drama. There aren't any people left for them to duel that they can actually beat. Who are Rin and Ruri supposed to duel? Shun and Yugo? Then Shun and Yugo will obviously not go all out making the duel pointless and predictable.
She came. In her motorcycle. And in her suit.
Ruri riding with her onii-chan when?
Dumb. I prefer Ruri doing it for the Denny's.
Since the Barian Invasian tier arc is about to happen, Sawatari and Gongenzaka would get carded so they would have to stop them. It's like the Dark Signers but it's better than nothing.
A childhood flash back would be nice
At this point id settle for a picture on a nighstand
All the counterparts gangbanging Leo would be decent. I'm not even
