Edo is not fine. He can't win a single duel and is being won over by the protagonist after little effort. Losing one duel to Yusho made him lose his shit. We don't have an understanding of Edo's backstory here and why he is so damn loyal. We've seen other characters question their loyalty and some have even outright changed sides. Being brainwashed isn't a good reason even if that is the case here. Edo isn't nearly as mentally fucked up here as he was in GX where his father was killed over cards and every time he looked at his deck he was reminded that he died over them. Edo is shit here. He's a parody of his GX character and it's almost like whoever is writing him jump went down a checklist instead of understanding who he was in GX. He isn't even a good duelist in this show and all his cards are garbage. Worst cameo character by far.
