A girl falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, she is gifted by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, she immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on her as well.

But, the next day, when she recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at her with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, she finds out that the girl she called is not the same girl she fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of YURI.

I thought the first season for this show was okay, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited for the film and second season. In spite of my issues with this show, I like a lot of the characters.

There's a ton of people that thinks that and I don't understand.
The only moment when Asuka seems slightly manipulative is with the president, but from what they said, she just denied the position and somehow that baritone girl thought she was obligated to take the role.
Perhaps is something about muh honorabru japanese tradition that I don't get, but it just sounds like she doesn't want to be president because it's a pain in the ass, so she just denied the position.
Other than that, all the other times she acts weird is when she has to deal with band/teenager drama that she doesn't care about.

The thing about Natsuki is that she's actually hiding a lot of things from us that we don't find out about until season 2.

It wasn't actually Kumiko that turned her life around, it was Nozomi, whom we'll see in the second season. What Kumiko did was she reminded Natsuki about the whole reason she started playing the euphonium in the first place, which was funny because Asuka kind of forced her into it.

I'll leave out the bigger details for you to find out later but basically Nozomi is to Natsuki as Reina is to Kumiko. But the biggest difference is that Natsuki didn't stand up for Nozomi during last year's incident while Kumiko stood up for Reina. So Natsuki feels guilty about it the entire time until Kumiko asked her to play with them which got her back in the mood.

The second season deals with Natsuki trying to get Nozomi back into the club even if it means turning against Asuka and the others.

It depends on the group. If it's a wind ensemble (a more elite version of a concert band) it's usually one to a part.
If it's just a regular concert or marching band, it just depends on how many kids you have in the group.

Sometimes if there are a shit ton of trumpet players the balance will be off, so some of them volunteer to cover an auxiliary percussion part.

The trombone is one giant tuning slide. There is no exact position for certain notes. it varies from player to player, instrument to instrument and sometimes depending on the weather.
A trombone player has to have a pretty good ear to hear whether he's in tune or not. That's why it's important to learn your instrument's subtleties. For example, I'll sit in front of a tuner and go through each slide position and note to see if my trombone is naturally sharp or flat for those notes. I'll pull in or push out for those specific notes in order to play in tune.
It gets even more complex when you're playing with a group and you're tuning with harmonics, but that's pretty advanced.

Sorry, I didn't make that clear. Once a person is familiar with their instrument it should be pretty easy to get the approximate note in practice and in real time. The thing about tuning is that it's all relative.
For instance, if i'm playing a perfectly in tune B flat, but the whole trombone section or band is playing it slightly sharp, i'm the one out of tune, not them.
The margin of error is pretty small, but it's not hard to stay inside it. With a good enough ear, you're able to either lip down or up or move the slide to get it in tune really quickly. (assuming you're holding the note long enough for people to notice it's out of tune)

Kumiko seems uncomplicated since she actually communicates, like when she faced Asuka or Ribbon or even said Shuichi that the reason she is bitchy around him is because he called her ugly. She might still dislike you if you are being shitty, but at least she will tell you exactly what her problem is.

Also she seems fun. She isn't as excessive with her jokes like for example Asuka, but she does joke around here and there during the show, like when she talked about the fries being a trap, etc.
