That show had a format that allowed us to see the MC pursue different routes and she still got screwed the first time around for no discernible reason. That was shitty of them.

It's not that childhood friends are cursed or anything, but that childhood friend love interests are such a common occurrence that their wins and losses are notable. So they win some but are naturally going to lose a lot because they can't always win.

I'm ok with nothing serious happening in the manga because it would be out of place for it. On the other hand I will miss it a lot. I wouldn't mind reading more of Moyako's delusions and their daily lives forever. Almost all chapters are 6 pages long so it is not like it would become a tiresome chore. It was nice seeing how the siblings care about each other and how deep their relationship is despite Moyako's weirdness, and the other characters had their own charm too.
