Is there any hope for 4.0 being decent after the total trainwreck that 3.0 was?
But OP, 3.0 was much better than 2.0, 4.0 will be the final biggest fuck you Anno prepared for us since so long
We've gone so far from the source that I doubt so.
Like >>138816307 said, this is Anno's last fuck you to otakus.
Until he does it again either later this year, or next year.
Yeah I noticed now, but you really have to know it first
>4.0 still isn't out
I already know it will be shit, but I need closure.
It's not the first time they've done that.
Besides, whatever Eva they build in 4.0, it probably won't look anything like that one. The MP Evas are guaranteed, but only because we saw them being built in 3.0.
>The MP Evas are guaranteed, but only because we saw them being built in 3.0.
Do you have a screen or know the time it appears or rough estimation when it appears? I don't remember seeing them being built.
37 minutes, when Shinji's looking for Rei. He passes a pit full of pallet rifles, an assembly line moving hundreds of rail transports, and these moving lines of greenish Eva arms.
>The weapons on his tunique reminded me of Sikhism
Which is a completely different religion?
How does that even work?
Like, how do they even split an Eva down the middle and merge all the nerves with another Eva who was split down the middle?
I know Evas are weird, like quarter god beings, but I'm not sure if even they are capable of that type of fuckery.
No problem. The ruins of Nerv HQ are full of speculation bait. There's a pit full of old military tanks and some broken JSSDF aircraft are littering Lilith's chamber. There's even one wedged in the crack in the ceiling where Mari makes her sniper nest. You can also see the rock climbing gear Mari and Asuka used to get in there.
It's just Unit 08 with part of Unit 02's helmet and repainted. They aren't building shit with the remains of Unit 02.
Man, this stuff is really interesting. Do you know any more cool details?
Not that, but it happens in episode 2 around ~21:50
A few things.
The top part of the main shaft inside the old Nerv pyramid is sealed off with a cap of bakelite.
There's an old Nerv logo on the outside of the New Nerv pyramid and some writing. It looks like it says
>3RD SHIN-TOKYO CAGE
During the Nemesis series attack, in the scene where Maya is ordering her crew to their stations, you can see Unit 02's entry plug being moved into position in the background.
Shinji has astronomy posters on his wall in 2.0, but doesn't reveal his interest in space until 3.0.
Misato's calendar and a notice on the board in Shinji's classroom suggests that 1.0 takes place in 2017 and 2.0 in 2018.
There's a tally of Asuka's Angel kills on the outside of Unit 02's entry plug. 6 simulated kills.
You can see the coastline of Antarctica under the Gates of Guf when Gendo and Fuyutsuki go into space. There's a cross-shaped fissure spreading out from the center. Unit 03 also makes a small cross-fissure when it blows up Masushiro.
Last one I can think of is that the chamber where Unit 13 is incubated is identical to the main engine chamber of Wunder.
Damn, searching these things is really fun.
Here's another one. Mari's full name is only used on screen once, when she's launching Unit 02. One of the tech voices says
>Designated pilot is Mari Makinami Illustrious, passcode zero-two
>Is there any hope for 4.0 being decent after the total trainwreck that 3.0 was?
As someone who probably hated it more than most, there is hope it'll be decent. Not decent in the way EoE or NGE was decent, but in a way that makes up for 3.0's mistakes and failures.
But I'd never bet on it, as the chances for that are astronomically low and would require Anno and the rest to actually have some self-insight. It's as likely as getting an anime-otaku to change his waifu for 20 years if you just asked.
So no, 3.0+1.0 will be shit much in the way that 3.0 was.
People have been saying the reception of 3.0 will change for more than three years, every time with some new excuse. The reception of 3.0 will never change, because it's in the past already. It happened, and it was received poorly.
The view of it won't change either, as it quite simply is not a good film and never ever will be.
>The reception of 3.0 will never change, because it's in the past already. It happened, and it was received poorly.
Damn did you think this was an intelligent rebuttal?
Receiving a piece of media is an ongoing process. Reappraisal in light of new context is never impossible, short of the original being destroyed by history.
Repeating integers of truth. Fuck this Idiot plot thing going on.
The only good thing 3.0 had was the music and audio direction, everything else was subpar
2.0 introduced Mari
It was not okay. Why do people still act as if 2.0 was the best out of the shit trio if so much screentime is wasted on a character that essentially is a representation of all rebuilds' flaws?
Dull, unoriginal and made for fanservice
>Damn did you think this was an intelligent rebuttal?
By using my brain, you should try it some time.
>Receiving a piece of media is an ongoing process. Reappraisal in light of new context is never impossible, short of the original being destroyed by history.
It's not an ongoing progress, the reception of a film or another work of art refers specifically to how it was received during the period of it's release. In other words, it's "reception".
What you're referring to is the opinion of a piece, which may change and is of course, something that changes over time. Reception is not. Use your brain for once, look up the word "reception" and see what other meanings it's tied with.
3.0 is and always will be, the same piece of shit it was then as it is today. Reappraising it will most likely result in a negative view moreso than a positive, as geek movies like it are frontloaded and gets the bulk of it's attention and praise during it's release.
That you cling on to the idea that "maybe some day, 3.0 won't be seen as shit" is just you being a retarded fanboy that can't accept the truth, that it's a bad film today and will always will be.
Because 2.0 is quite literally the best out of the two film, hands down. There is literally nothing wrong with introducing Mari, just as there was literally nothing wrong with introducing the fanservice character known as "Asuka" in an early episode of NGE.
There is something wrong with not doing anything with the characters you introduce, and that territory is 3.0 and beyond, leaving 2.0 scot free.
The problem is that you have no perspective and understanding of how stories progress, and so most likely you're just a butthurt shipper otaku or something like that who's not willing to address the movie in a sane, critical manner but just trigger about something in 2.0. Simple as.
oh and by the way, Mari is not a representation of all of Rebuild's flaws. Mari is pretty much innocent in this, entirely - the characters you can pin as representative of all of Rebuild's flaws is Kaworu and a close second, Asuka, who represent "inflated presence without justification", especially when considering NGE. Mari has a small presence and a tiny footprint on Rebuild so far, so she can't logically or realistically be pinned as an actual problem.
That one did suck. It's the aspect ratio and how confining the clip is combined with her nodding the other way throwing the rhythm off.
This is probably the best it can get.
1. Asuka wasn't a fanservice girl, stop talking out of your ass. Yeah I admit that NGE had it fair share of pandering, but you can pit it all up on one character. She was essential to the story. Mari on the other hand was fucking useless, she's there to push her breasts into Shinji's face and do things that could be done, by other characters.
2. Kaworu is the best thing about 3.0 and what the hell do you evev mean by "presence without justification"? He has huge impact on Shinji in NGE, being the first one to tell him all the nice stuff, and it's rather bizzare he appears only through one episode. Kaworu is one of the very few things, which rebuilds actually did rather well.
And I'm not even gonna respond to the thing about Asuka being there for no reason. She's one of the main cast you dolt
And you hurt my feelings by calling me a ottaku shipper
I liked 3.0 the most. It did something different (Still copied Nadia)
2.0's plot is akin to amazing-spiderman convoluted story (a collection of disjointed scenes that just happen) you could rearrange scenes in that movie and it wouldn't affect the story at all.
1.0 just copied the first six episodes of NGE arguably the least difficult movie to produce.
My score of eva related movies.
1. Asuka was a fanservice girl the minute she was introduced. Only later episodes change that. She only became essential to the story through development and the fleshing out of her character.
The point to take home here is that no character is anything until developed and fleshed out in tact with the story. Therefore, Mari being introduced carries no problem, just as introducing Asuka has no problem, the problem occurs when they fail to make anything out of the characters.
NGE made something out of Asuka, but Rebuild refuses to make anything out of either Mari or Asuka, as they are both fanservice. Mari then having less screentime, is actually the least of these movie series problems. She's just a scapegoat because she doesn't have many fans.
2. Kaworu is the worst thing about Rebuild, and the problems attributed to 3.0 exists primarily because of Kaworu's character.
His importance in NGE is overstated, and you're wrong that he is the first one to tell Shinji nice things. Misato among others exist. Then just "saying nice stuff" doesn't make Kaworu a good character or an all that important one. All of them had impact on Shinji, Kaworu was the last in a line and so the impact isn't Kaworu's alone.
Kaworu in Rebuild however, is there since the first movie for no real reason save for fanservice. He has more presence, but he has less impact and character. He doesn't add anything to the story.
This is what I mean by "presence without justification". Kaworu is put there simply to be there, as fanservice. He lacks character and impact despite being allotted more story real estate.
Not only that, Kaworu makes everything worse because the storyline he has required everything else to be destroyed. The timeskip, the destruction of the world, and the ruination of other characters happened because Kaworu needs to be alone with Shinji for the fanservice to have effect.
Also, you might be an otaku shipper despite how that hurts you.
>2.0's plot is akin to amazing-spiderman convoluted story (a collection of disjointed scenes that just happen) you could rearrange scenes in that movie and it wouldn't affect the story at all.
This is bullshit.
Seriously, fuck right off. Basically nothing you wrote was even remotely true. Your "score" is not worth shit.
just rewatch EoE 20 times and forget about the rebuilds
It's my honest opinion, NGE is great.I put EOE next to Alien/2001 Space Odyssey/Jurassic Park in my barometer of great movies.
3.0 had a more NGE feeling of isolation compared to the other two movies combined.
However the amount of times it copied Nadia was unbelievable (go to 20:30) see what I mean...
2.0 was a convoluted mess, Scenes happened and didn't go anywhere. they could of cut out alot of the second and third angel fight and nothing would've been lost.
1.0 was the easyest and safest movie that Khara made, they just reused old stills from NGE.
You're good man. There a lot cool hidden shit in 3.33 for speculation. It's literally say everything from 2.22 trailer and EOE happens behind the scenes. Even if 3.33 is not so good, the mystery is strong as fuck. Too bad most people prefer just to shitpost.
I don't think so
The characters would lose motivation, one wouldn't know Misato's backstory, and you'd lose the part of character-development cues which ends up culminating in Rei arranging a dinner, along with Shinji's motivation to save Rei in the final.
Essentially, you'd be wrecking a lot of the pathos in the movie, yes. All of the scenes add up. Not to mention you'd lose the worldbuilding-part of the post-second impact environment.
Problem here is that you have literally no idea what you're talking about.
Perhaps its all in the details,
However to have Misato's backstory relegated to a 5 sec flash back, the fact that Rei/Shinji's character development-cues are related to a dinner party, and reestablishing world development that was already established in 1.0) doesn't sit well with me.

Mari originally was more involved in the plot for 2.0. According to (Eva-2.0 Complete records collection)
A 200+page book containing; behind the scenes information, original drafts, scene panels detailing alternative/deleted segments, ect.... (http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii112/IrkenEvangelion/asuka-guro-2.jpg)
Originally Mari was going to be introduced by piloting Eva-2 at sea fighting an angel on battleships, Mari/Kaji are both introduced to the cast while Asuka arrives later by plane, both Mari and Asuka pilot Unit-2 with Asuka being its designated pilot , referring to Mari as her "support fire"(later used in 3.0)
Eventually Mari with a higher sync ratio with Unit-2 than Asuka becomes its main pilot during the 9th angel attack, leaving Asuka devastated not piloting Eva (NGE style) Asuka then jumps at the chance to pilot unit-3.(o_o)
Mari talks with all the pilots, goes to the school, Convinces Shinji (face to face) to pilot Unit-1 during the 10th angel attack at the watermelon field; kissing him...
The script was later remade (again) to what we have now.
Anonymous 03/17/16(Thu)21:52:04 No.138763546▶>>138764236 >>138766602
It's also worth mentioning that Asuka was originally in unit-2 during the 10th angel attack. (In the first or second draft for 2.0.)
It explains why during the Zeruel battle (when it hits unit-2 a second time) the camera zoom's towards Mari's left eye (implying it getting hit), yet later we see that it's the right side of her face that's injured.---Originally Asuka was in Mari's place and the scene showed how she lost her eye. The aforementioned scene was a recycled element from the earlier draft-and the animators just forgot (or were lazy) to edit the scene.
It wouldn't be Evangelion if the production wasn't chaotic.
>However to have Misato's backstory relegated to a 5 sec flash back,
It needs not be relegated, as Kaji is giving his recounting. With two more movies left, it falls naturally to explore it, as NGE would provide a "hint" at a backstory first, then show the rest later.
This is that part.
3.0 shat the bed there.
>the fact that Rei/Shinji's character development-cues are related to a dinner party,
They are related to a dinner-party among other things, the "eating together" theme permeates the entire movie and perhaps begins with Shinji cooking for Misato, then Rei. The cues are believable, genuine, in-character and that's what makes them great. There is no problem here.
>and reestablishing world development that was already established in 1.0) doesn't sit well with me.
They aren't re-establishing anything 1.0 established here, the world-building is continuing throughout the series as it was done in 1.0, the effects of what happened often went as far as ep 21 to show itself, with e.g Fuyutsuki's flashback sequence of the broken Asia.
The problem really is that you have no idea what you're talking about here.
They're identical clones of Unit 01 made out of pure core. There's some freaky shit going on with their size too.
The ones clustered around Lilith's head are only about 30 feet tall. Gendo's visible in the same shot.
The ones in the shaft are Eva sized. Those up on the surface are colossal, mutated, and some of them are fusing with each other.
And this is the first glimpse of Misato.
What's your point?
So I haven't watched any of the remakes yet.
Has 4.0 been confirmed so that I'd know when to marathon them all?
A friend has my copy of 2.22 at the minute so excuse the quality of the picture, but does anyone think that Asuka's eye is something to do with Bardiel?
I understand that they declare her clear of cellular contamination, but what about mental contamination or some other means of contamination? I think there's something we're not being told, and I hope it doesn't turn into an asspull.
Why is her medical tank/casket/coffin-thing be surrounded by the same pillars that are on top of Bethany Base and Unit-01 post Pseudo Evolution. To my understanding, these pillars are a means of keeping something in, or keeping something out.
Recall, if you will, the Nemesis attack on Wunder Fleet. There's one of these pillars on board a ship which the Nemesis attacks and destroys, seemingly as a priority.
Is is possible that there's an Angel in Asuka?
Asuka's eyepatch covers the left eye and Bardiel can definitely be seen to cover that eye more than the other when it attacks her.
Seriously, sorry about the spud quality picture.
Being integrated into the Angel's core probably permanently altered Asuka's physiology. She's also strong enough to crack the safety glass in the quarantine room. Code 777 made her eyes glow green and she grew fangs, so it's possible.
Those pillars are "Angel Sealing Hex Pillars." There were some around Shinji when he woke up on the Wunder too. Probably just a precaution in case they were Angels.
It's an interesting possibility, I noticed the glass too and drew a connection. These, "Angel Sealing Hex Pillars", do you know anything about them?
Sorry, wrong image, this is the Bardiel attack.
There's always this too
The new Evas show off powers related to the past Angels.
>Mark.04B and Mark.04C have toilet paper arms like Zeruel
>Mark.04C uses a cloaking cocoon to hide its position like Sahaquiel
>Vessel of the Adams shits out blue goo that looks just like Bardiel's without the staples
>Eva 13 sprouts extra arms and appendages from its shoulders like like Eva 03
Not much. They show up in a couple places and make an eerie humming sound as they rotate.
They seem to be linked to the sealing glyphs that show up in several places.
>On the walls and floor of Bethany Base
>On the Key of Nebuchadnezzar's case
>In the walls of Rei and Mari's rooms in the 3.0 preview
>In Unit 13's HUD
>In the DSS Choker's bands
>In Asuka's eyepatch
They're actually the Atlantean alphabet that appeared in Red Noah
It's Eva Mark.09's second form. Looks like the devil, shoots eye beams
Second half of that pic.
When Ritsuko explains what the DSS Choker does, there's a legend on the screen translating certain glyphs to letters. Someone noticed the symbols on the DSS Choker looked like musical notation and tried playing it.
It plays the first part of the creepy piano music during Shinji's freak out
If Asuka ever tells Shinji about what happened to her eye, this could still make an appearance.
No doubt she would recognize Kaworu's voice if she heard it, but it's only ever Shinji that hails her when they're in Terminal Dogma.
I think it's quite possible that she doesn't even know Kaworu is in unit 13.
I recently read Nausicaa so I may be biased, but these scenes remind me a lot of it.
she had that vision of that creepy dude talking to her/trying to break her.
So what you want is a eternal retelling of NGE with as few changes as possible and when something actually does happen and the characters do develop you screech like a faggot, why are you evageeks so fucking cancerous?
Nyaaa nya nya nya nya nya!
I personally liked 3.0.
It was something different, not good as the 1.0 and 2.0,but was anyway nice.
I can not introduce that Eva 4.0 explain the things ,which happen 2.0-3.0 where Shinji sleeps.
So i hope for Eva 4.0 and Eva 5.0.
No. There is literally no way to salvage it from 3.0. It would take a miracle for it to merely be not terrible and sort of turn things around, but 3.0 was so fucking bad and nonsensical and fucked the characters and motivations so hard that it's impossible to recover full from it, it taints 4.0 no matter what.
Too bad, 2.0 left them in an interesting place, they could have really done some great stuff from there. But I guess actual character progression was too scary for those fucking hacks. Even if they brought someone new on and actually put something sensible together for 4.0 it wouldn't make the former any less retarded. I guess if Shinji told them all to go fuck themselves, grabbed his waifu and cruised off to another universe leaving them all with their dicks hanging and schemes worthless that might be at least a little amusing.
But if Anno was going to do something like 3.0 wouldn't have been such shit so good luck. 3 & 4 are basically his message to us that we are all trash and retards for still liking Eva and he'd like us to stop bothering him about it lest he do something even worse next time.
How about Ritsuko, the one who put it there and then configured the fucking detonator in front of everyone?
Wille most likely made it. They have both the technology and motivation.
Seele aren't Lilin. And besides, Kaworu is working for them and they want to awaken an Eva. Something like the DSS Choker works directly counter to their goals.
We have no indication that she's the one who made it.
In fact considering Kaworu's words and how long he's been around, there's no way she could have made it.
Most likely technology that the WILLE team was given.
>Seele aren't Lilin
Some of them have had their forms changed in 3.0, but when we saw them in 1.0 they were.
>Some of them have had their forms changed in 3.0, but when we saw them in 1.0 they were.
Seele only appear as the red and black monoliths, even in 1.0. They're older than human civilization according to Gendo.
You're just being a obnoxious evageek though, the only backing WILLE had was monetary so they could build their shitty plane, everything else they had done it themselves, they managed to put unit 01 inside whatever the it is that uses as a battery, they took Shin put the thing on him first thing but you keep with your bullshit conspiracy theories about how it wasn't them that made the shitty bdsm prop on him, keep sucking that imaginary anno cock and maybe he will appear one day to personally rape you
Stop having an autism attack and think rationally.
WILLE shows no indication of ever knowing Kaworu, therefore it'd be impossible to say they created the choker.
It was most likely created by SEELE, or another organization familiar with Kaworu. WILLE may have gotten their hands on it later on.
Did you somehow forget about the whole 14 years that we never saw?And how he started a new impact? Or how he stopped Shinji when he went berserk? Of course you don't because it does not fit in your retarded narrative
The Instrumentality Committee are only in the tv series
If you're suggesting WILLE knew Kaworu in the 14 year timeskip, then even moreso there would be some indication of that in 3.0, but they don't know him and don't suggest the possibility he even exists when it goes off.
So, did they all drop unconscious when he threw his lance at Shinji at the end of 2.0? And no one saw or questioned why he was starting armagedon? I'm serious here, are you a legit retard? Do you need help just to breath?
Knowing about Mark.06 is one thing, but knowing personally who the pilot is?
They obviously don't considering they never mention him in 3.0.
Even when the choker goes off, Misato assumes it's Shinji and never once suspects it could be Kaworu.
If she knew who Kaworu was, the person who the DSS choker was originally designer for, then that wouldn't be the case.
Therefore confirming they don't know him, and they didn't originally make the choker.
Get ass rekt, retard.
So, becuase they didn't scream KAWORU YOU NIGGER that means they don't know about him? Even though they got surprised that it was SHinji piloting unit 13? Even in interviews they say that the moment the choker went on Karowu it got triggered and he was using his powers to stop it, why are you so adammant about denying what actually happens in the movie?
For Kaworu to be able to remove it in the first place obviously means it was on him before at one point.
And if it was on him before and WILLE shows no indication of knowing that, then that further proves that they neither know him or that they originally made the choker.
I still stand by the belief it was put on Kaworu by SEELE, this wouldn't be the first time they would put a leash on him.
They do. Mari knows what's up with the creation of the 13th Angel and knows that Shinji is Seele's back-up, meaning they know someone else is in the Eva with him and who.
Asuka and Mari don't know Shinji is piloting Unit 13 until he speaks and Seele only has two pilots. It's not like they try to keep Kaworu a secret.
so who is that kid supposed to be anyways?
Dont tell me these fuckers made shinji fuck rei cause that would be fucking gross, redneck statues and the same shit as fucking your own mother.
>I still stand by the belief it was put on Kaworu by SEELE, this wouldn't be the first time they would put a leash on him.
They WANT Unit 13 to awaken so they can use it for Instrumentality. It makes no sense for them to put something like that on Kaworu when he's privy to their plan and spends the whole movie manipulating Shinji into taking part.
>They WANT Unit 13 to awaken so they can use it for Instrumentality
That's what they want, not what he wants.
Kaworu was ready to betray NERV and SEELE at a moment's notice, and SEELE would be more than ready to put the choker on him to prevent that.
>spends the whole movie manipulating Shinji into taking part
Kaworu is never for their plan, that's why he's willing to kill himself to STOP Unit 13 from awakening.
I swear, you retards didn't even watch the movie.
Because like Kaworu says, the lilin fear him.
It makes more than enough sense that SEELE would put a bomb on the very thing they want to control, you think they'll just let an angel walk around on his own?
They don't trust Kaworu and never did, they betray him the second it benefits their plans just like NGE. Kaworu suspects he's being betrayed too.
So why didn't they put a bomb in every single angel? Or did you forget that they all came from the moon base? It would be pretty goddamn strange for them to put a bomb on the one they trust and not on the ones who are hellbent on destroy humanity
The funny thing about this is how you go for gold in your olympic level mental gymnastics about the choker but refuse to acknowledge what is in fron of you
>Kaworu is never for their plan, that's why he's willing to kill himself to STOP Unit 13 from awakening.
Are you for real. The very last scene of 1.0 is him talking with Seele 01 and confirming that everything is going according to their plan because the "child has appeared," and he's eager to meet Shinji.
He never shows any resistance to the plan until he realizes that Gendo has gotten rid of the Spear of Cassius and realizes he's about to get a taste of the old Ikari fuckjob. He only impales the Eva when he realizes he was wrong and is just making Shinji even more miserable, but the fact that he *can* when the Eva is both unresponsive and he's locked out of the controls showed that he could have taken control from Shinji whenever he pleased.
In fact, he blatantly lies to Shinji by telling him they're resisting Gendo when in they're carrying out Seele's plan to the letter.
I loved the show and EoE, but I've never seen any of the new movies.
Aside from selling merch, what's Anno's reason for making these movies?
Are they conveying anything the show didn't already cover? Any new insight into the lore of the setting?
Why doesn't he just take all the money that he poured into this and make a completely new show instead with the same attention to detail?
My guess is that they put them all on stasis so as to not have all the angels running around and destroying the earth before anyone can react
>Aside from selling merch
That is literally the only reason it was made
>thinking gigantic fucking angels came out of those coffins
>when we literally see Sachiel come from the ocean
What is mental gymnastics here is you thinking those coffins are anything but Kaworu's previous timeloops.
That's not its skin. It's wearing a white body covering that's removed when they start adding the armor.
Eva Mark.06 is an Adam that was blown to the moon on a geyser of blood when something exploded in Antarctica
No one in their rightful mind would fuck a manfaced transvestite.
But man, Asukafags are one crazy bunch of queers.
So the Angels are
>Tick Tock Clock
>Insert Fodder Here
>Armisael Black/Eva Mark.06
So what the fuck are these? Did they fly here on the Wunder from a world of Angels or something?
They're the four Adam vessels, Mark.06 and some of the other Evas are made up of one.
It's not clear on what exactly they do so far, but I guess they're not the same as Adam from NGE.
Those MP Evas are probably recycled assets so they didn't have to bother with a new design that might not get used
>Introverted jackass who's soft and vulnerable on the inside
>Pilots the oldest active machine in the fleet
>Machine is missing right eye, has a prosthetic left arm, and a shovel-jaw
>Closest friend is a tall weirdo who wants nothing more than to pilot a giant robot
>Friend is surprisingly keen and knows a lot of secrets
Who am I talking about?
The main char from Diebuster I think
Genetically she is, genes dont use your logic anon. If shinji does someone that is a clone of his mom, they are gonna call his kids the x-men and not because they have superpowers.
oH Anon, you have never seen nor interacted with girls in real life have you?
It's normal for them to take hands and be all sassy like that because that's just how they are.
Is it also normal for them to blush and get ready to fuck on the ground?
I want to bust a nut in the crotch of Shiki's plugsuit
Evangelion : CGI power rangers edition
Reminder that 2.22 is the best rebuild, if you like 3.33 you're a contrarian faggot.
Now I wish I had friends.
>Instrumentality requires EVA 01 to enter Lilith through forehead vagina
>2.22 sees Shinji initiating instrumentality/3rd impact but is interrupted
>the result is all his dead children
So Third impact was just Shinji pre-cumming?
Unit 01 made its own Lilith
>Misato's calendar and a notice on the board in Shinji's classroom suggests that 1.0 takes place in 2017
If 3.0+1.0 ends up coming out next year that shit would be neat
>We could have had sexy grown up Rei and Asuka, but otakus love of MOE little grills is too strong in nippon
We already know what adult Rei will look like. Just give her heavier bangs and blue hair
>they spent over 10 years making all these shitty movies instead of just animating Anima as a series
2.22 was basically the Sword Art Online of Eva.
It gave faggots what they wanted. Shinji as a badass. Asuka as a one dimensional bitch, that gets kinda nice. Glasses cunt.
Seriously. How can people think it was the best. It cuts Asukas and Misatos backstory. Introduces "looks nice bullshit mode".
3.33 had at least Shinjis breakdown which was fucking glorious. And we got a Kaworu that was more developed than in NGE.
Sure it had it's flaws. But the good parts were actually more than just "looks good and nice soundtrack"
Your post and opinion is based entirely on attacking an audience and lying about the work of fiction in question. Seriously, all you did with that post was to demonstrate that people who are pro-3.33 and anti-2.22 have no brain whatsoever.
I figure it'll probably be late April or early May before the hype train starts up
To 2.0's credit, Mari wasn't that big a factor. I don't like the idea of Mari or her design at all, but she didn't get in the way of 2.0
2.0 was basically a slightly toned done Eva with better action and more conventional direction. I.e. a good fun film with still most of the Eva flair.
And then 3.0 completely drops the ball.
exceptionally shitty namefag need not reply.
The DSS Choker is sending them data. Mari immediately figures out what Gendo is up to when it sends them a notification about the 13th Angel manifesting.
Mari and Asuka both know Kaworu's Eva is the 12th Angel and the cause of Third Impact. Why are you so insistent that they can't possibly know about him?
Mari starts acting like she knows what 13 is when she sees it doesn't have an AT field like 01 did, they don't really seem like the same type. Half of Lilith was missing again, 01's origin doesn't look to be changed.
Unit 01 can probably generate an AT Field because it has a human soul in the core. It's the only Eva in the movies confirmed to have one. It looks exactly like the three-eyed Adam from Misato's flashback and the IPEA logo.
Mark.06 looks more like Lilith than Unit 01 does. It has the same blobby body and egg-shaped head. They're also the only giants in either series that have external ears.
06 was launched to the Moon from Antarctica, though. The thing under Nerv still looks like something separate from the Adams that was always in Japan since there's still a big black spaceship buried there.
I know. It's just weird that Mark.06 has Lilith's body type when Units 01 and 13 have narrow heads with huge mouths like the classic Evas.
Then again, it's also weird that they're all completely different colors.
>Unit 01 is pale white with red human-like teeth
>Mark.06 is dark green
>Unit 13 is black and has a mouth full of diamond-shaped fangs
Just a Kubrick. There's also a Jet Alone Prime gashapon that's pretty uncommon
Eva 04 is like the trashcan of the franchise
>Sucked into a Dirac Sea during an S2 engine test
>Blows up part of the US and Canada in a mini-Impact
>Supplanted by Eva Mark.04
>Piloted by Kaworu, Mari, and fucking Kensuke
>Just a silver recolor of Unit 03
>Killed with no fanfare in Detective Evangelion
>Gets a moment to shine in 1.0 pachinko before being replaced by Mark.06
>Starring role in Evangelion The Real 4D with new paintjob and upgrades
>Still gets bitchslapped by Zeruel
Nope. Hasn't even been fully scanned as far as I know. It's fucking expensive, so I can understand people not wanting to damage it.
This site has a bunch of the interviews translated: http://www.gwern.net/docs/eva/2010-crc
There's one episode where Shinji gets buried under a pile of shit by birds and oozes around town as a shit monster until he gets blasted by water.
And another where Toji, Kensuke and Hikari ride around town on a miniature bullet train that walks on feet and beat the shit out of a mini Shamshel that's harassing one of the Ayanami sisters.
Ok so what exactly made 3.0 so bad again?
It was just anno doing his thing
The Ayanami Sisters. 3->1->2
Mostly the migraine-inducing, CGI-riddled action scenes that went on for far too long and took up like 1/3 of the movie.
Reifags think it's bad because Rei 1 wasn't in the movie
Misatofags think it's bad because she turned into a bitch
Asukafags think it's bad because she's now a Christmas cake
Also, Shinji's behavior was very unrealistic/poorly written during the final fight. His actions made 0 sense. He was desperate, sure, but he's not a fucking retard.
As a whole it was kinda enjoyable though. It had a really great OST.
>bringing up the Puchi Eva Anime
Pleb, Manga is where it's at.
Does it have shit monster Shinji?
3.0 was pretty bad, but at least it had super short hair Ritsuko, which was a fetish bullseye..
the plot is a hot mess
for example one of the bigger issues (definitely not the only one, keep in mind) is that ALL of everything that happened could have been solved with someone explaining exactly what the situation was from the beginning
Instead everyone is a cunt to shinji, they're all still mad at him as if he personally wanted to kill all of them, so mad that you'd think that the semi-impact happened just yesterday and nobody has actually put any real through towards the situation that occurred.
Also the whole Kaworu/Shinji in the eva scene is just aggravating. Shinji goes full retard, then Kaworu decides to become a mute for a bit. Suddenly it DOESN'T take 2 people to pilot the eva and shinji is chill doing it by himself.
Lets not forget how Kaworu can take off the god damned explosive off Shinji's neck but puts it on himself because ???
99% of the plot is just character's doing retarded things. one after another after another. Whole thing is aggravating.
The hyperactive Rei on the right is 2
Yamashita should dust off this old design for the new Mass Production Evas
