Norden is the only Fusion worth a damn right now, and only because you summon it with one card. Fusion Summoning is garbage and you'll mostly just see it with D/D, who rely on Synchros as well. Blue-Eyes also needs to Synchro and Crystal Wing is a very real threat.

What a stupid argument. The same can be said about all types of cards. Contact Fusion has been a thing for an extremely long time.

Gem Knights were good back in the day and the first deck to try and allow fusion decks to recover card advantage. They've been power creeped.

Dark Law isn't the only thing and no one runs Zero. Heroes have survived so long because of rank 4 tool box, amazing searching and disruption plays

Synchro has always relied on generic cards and has rarely been archetype based. You have Infernity and Blackwings as far as meta Synchro archetypes go and they both eventually relied on Xyz too.

The problem with Construct is that, in addition to being a big body that you'd have a hard time killing in battle, it also enabled all of the deck's plays by letting you dig into your deck and ditch any Shaddoll you needed to. The deck had so many avenues of play it could branch into based off of one single fusion that it was ridiculous, and I loved it.

It's the true, no matter how you slice it. Synchro arc should have been Yugo's big event, the main focus for him as Yuya and friends learn more about him and the world he comes from. But like everything else, Synchro bastardizes it way early on and fail to meet anyone's expectations. I think Yugo got ruined in this arc when we went into the friendship cup much like everyone else.

And to those who say that he was a cool and collective mysterious person or Season 2 Yusei-lite, please leave. Our first official appearance of him had him be a hot headed goofed who was real good at dueling when it came to it. And that was fine cause the writers made him sympathetic and charming.

It just feel insulting that a guy who was disgusted at the obelisk force's actions and hold resentment for the City's system would show absolutely no disapproval of the friendship cup once the truth was brought into the light. Let alone actually show some humanity and feel guilty about the characters he ruined with his brashness once aware of it.

Heartland arc better redeem him and everyone else when we get there.

I don't think any dimension arc is going to be its respective Yu's "big event." From the very beginning, Yugo has never cared about Yuya, and as much as it sucks that we never truly saw them interact, it is what it is.

It's not something you can fault on Yugo's character as much as Synchro's tournament layout, which bit this sort of thing in the bud. I've never really seen anyone call him cool and collected, either. He's still hot-headed, and aside from the waifu goggles with Serena, he's played his hands as well as he could have.

Synchro made Yugo more ruthless in that, yes, he didn't care about having savaged the wrong guy and essentially signed what he believes was Yuzu's death warrant, but I think it's a stretch to say you can't reconcile that with disgust at carding people for no proper reason. He feels bad about Yuzu (okay, not so much Serena), but Rin is ultimately the only person he'd jeopardize his safety and shot at Jack for. It makes sense to me. He has a one-track mind and he's the Yu most enthralled by his Ruri.

Synchro could have done more for Yugo -- it could have done more for most characters in it -- but I wouldn't say it ruined him.

I'm basing that on Ono's interview during last year about each dimension was suppose to be a focus point/important arc for each respective Yu. Course that could be completely irrelevant now if we go to Heartland and Yuto doesn't do jackshit there.

It's insane how a monster so good didn't go to Yuya, the protagonist. If they do give Dark Rebellion an xyz change it better be a monster that can treason discharge every monster on the opponent's side of the field, inflict attack every monster the opponent controls and inflict piercing damage.
