I think when he was fight the angels or whatever, he was still in the Matrix. It wasn't until after they won that he left, and everyone he knew from inside was out there, but they had no memories of each other, or something. It was also incredibly rushed, to the point that they flat out skipped I think a volume and a half at some point.

Fun show though.

Can't remember if this was my trip or not but anyway

The spoilers people are spamming are all fake. The summary for volume 2 is misleading and one part of it wasn't translated right but it is the case that volume 2 is kind of edgy. Nobody dies but it does get quite gruesome at some points. The plot twist for the show has nothing to do with computers but there is a twist which leads into the ending for the first volume. The anime won't adapt the second volume, it'll end on the first, like Hibike. The girl with the silver hair is Touko, she's the villain of the 2nd volume and won't show up in the anime outside maybe a hint to the next season.

As for LN to anime changes, the anime has more physical fanservice as opposed to the LN in which Haruhiko just describes the shape of Mai's breasts and ass quite often. The point of Ruru is that Haruhiko narrates a lot so Ruru is something he can talk to or someone who can say what is on Haruhiko's mind without them just skipping what he is thinking all together. Reina falling onto Haruhiko when they first meet is original but Reina throwing Haruhiko for being a pervert happens often. The limbo scene is also anime original but the actual fight with telephone poles happened in the LN. In the LN Mai just snaps the crap out of the poles right away instead of doing the limbo.

Next episode will introduce Koito to the team earlier than in the LN, only about one episode earlier though which is a good thing. Then there's this really lewd fight where the girls will fight in their bath towels next. In the LN, only Mai and Reina are in this fight, but due to adding Koito earlier, I'm not sure if Koito is going to be in this scene.

Kind of busy so I won't be able to post often like this but screenshot this top part so people stop spamming fake spoilers. Not going to spoil any of the plot this time around because you can already see how bad it gets when people spam this stuff.

As I understand it, it was during the idol episode, when the Matrix stuff actually started happening. Instead of it happening during the concert, it was supposed to happen at the end of the volume after. That's why idol and Sensei felt so out of place during the last couple of episodes. But again, I haven't read the LNs for myself, so I could be wrong.
