Why does Steel Ball Run have the best covers?
>too bad you won't be able to tell the time after I break it
>break your face that is
Holy shit, man. Part 4 is great. Is Jotaro this funny in part 3? I've been avoiding it cause it seems feels too shonen and I've already had my dose with the gang-star.
I miss kakyoin and his goofy antics
Have you guys every found a more subtle Jojo reference than just poses?
Finally read this manga and when I got to this page I got all giddy
>had zero friends before josuke and okuyasu
>head looks like deflating spike ball
>dies almost instantly after his introduction
So what does it mean to obtain heaven? After reading part 6 I guess that was Dio's true goal in part 3, but it's never really explained? Does it just mean having complete control over time?
I heard about the stone mask, but not the DIO boss.
In Symphony of the Night one of the powers you can obtain from an enemy is literally just a punch ghost like Star Platinum. It's purple-ish too if I recall correctly.
More than likely obtaining heaven is achieving perfection. In DIO's case it'd (most likely) be complete control over time. Might be different for other stand users though.
Well, you're welcome I guess.
There's also a JoJo ORA reference in Harmony of Dissonance, if you equip Jeust Belmont with the Fist sub weapon, he'd go ORAORAORAORA!
And in Dawn of Sorrow, the time stopping, knife tossing, Zephyr is basically DIO from Part 3.
You're remembered how good Emperor and Hanged Man was
Are you trying to give me a heart attack, anon?
This is too fucking cute.
Stop, I don't need desperate parental feelings at this hour.
What are the best one pages you have? While reading part 6 I'm trying to find the most
bizarreones I can find
I figured it meant being 100% in control of your destiny, especially after reading Over Heaven.
That's what MiH was accomplishing when it was replacing the souls of those killed in the acceleration. Pucci could control his desitiny by eliminating the actors
i always thought heaven was a method of world domination. Basically it would grant a power to sculpt the world to ones own personal heaven, which is what Pucci accomplished.
A world where DIO would be the only one with free will and there would be no one to oppose him.
I presume The World Over Heaven would be very similar to made in heaven, but that remains to be seen.
Made in Heaven pretty much let Pucci rewrite history and strip people of free will, how the World Over Heaven tops that will be interesting.
What if DIO wasn't the one who ascended to Heaven?
At first I thought it was just going to be Jotaro being shitty, but then...
>Steel Ball Run
More like Blue Balls Run. This part is nothing but wasted potential. Potentially great characters like Pocoloco and Sandman completely wasted/ignored. Potentially cool main villian has no real reveals, he just want to control napkins or whatever. Gyro's Vatican subplot pretty much dropped with a big fuck you to the audience, Hotpantsu dies offscreen. After insanity that was Stone Ocean the whole thing felt really underwhelming.
Depends on the battlefield.
If it's open, I'd say Hol Horse has the upper hand due to his bullets being magical stand energy that probably goes super fast and shit.
If there are any sort of obstacles, Mista wins because unlike Hol Horse, Mista does not have to acutally see his targets.
Emperor is the faster stand. Unless Sex Pistols somehow controls Hol's own bullets, I don't think Mista can win.
Besides, the bullets are part of his stand so I really don't think Pistols controlling them is a possibility.
god, they made koichi ugly. his hair and nose are all kinds of wrong. his hair should be spikier
After finishing part V, I couldn't stop thinking about how the first two parts were the only ones to truly give me a sense of adventure. Which is ironic, since the manga's named Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
Perhaps the biggest failure Araki made was to incorporate the weekly monster formula into the story. It only made it feel more stale and less adventurous. One would've to wait a week, just to end reading a chapter of a battle against an enemy, an enemy that would end becoming irrelevant to the story after his/her defeat. This also sort of happened in the first two parts, but with less frequency. At least in part I, all of Jonathan previous battles counted towards his combat experience against Dio.
Not saying that parts III-V are bad. There's just something about them that make them less interesting in the long run. For instance, part III & IV had promising beginnings, but as soon as the weekly formula kicked in, the read became sort of unpleasant. Part III had an interesting final battle, sure, and Part IV had that relaxing aura in the first half, but the weekly formula didn't allow them to bring their true potential. Part V was kind of the opposite; it got more interesting as it progressed, but ultimately failed at the ending, which not only lowered its quality, but also the value of the tragic end Part I had.
>Part IV had that relaxing aura in the first half, but the weekly formula didn't allow them to bring their true potential.
I agree, but I'd argue that works to it's advantage. Out of all the parts, Part 4 is supposed to be the part LEAST focused on adventure in favor of focusing on the community, which it does very well.
Part 7 feels like an adventure again. There's still Stand of the Week, but they're also horse-riding across America and it's pretty interesting. There's more reoccurring villains/allies that get interesting development, I think there's like a grand total of 5-6 Stand of the Week guys.
Part 6 is just fucking weird.
I think Part 3 nailed the "adventure" feel well enough with the globe-trotting.
What the fuck is wrong with Koichi? His hair is the wrong color and his nose is just two lines that don't connect.
are there any places in Japan that have any significance to the jjba series?
here I fixed him
>We didn't get with based Hochu Otsuka as Hol Horse in the anime.
This is now the second worst casting change David has made compared to ASB after dropping Wataru Hatano as Josuke. What is their problem with people who say daze very nicely?
This can't be intentional.
Literally just looking through every link on the pastebin and the only link that didn't work was Jolyne, Fly High with GUCCI. So I have no idea where you're getting this.
Replaced the link with a working one anyhow.
Yeah man I feel ya. Finished it last week and just had to sit there and wonder what the fuck drugs Araki was taking.
>mfw all of the second half
>trying to spoil me
>despite me being a regular Jojo thread poster
rude desu lad
Tried to make a thread about this but /a/ is shit.
Why is Valentine shoot?
WHY ISNT FOO FIGHTERS IN THE NEW GAME?
I was getting hyped during the C-moon fight and then he realized he didn't have to wait till the new moon and I was just like "oh that's some bullshit there"
Cute stuff about Jotaro leaving Jolyne in care of Josuke (despite the site name is not hentai)
Is there anything on the universe that doesn't interact with gravity?
Mass is form of energy. And any energy creates gravitational pull. And you can't just make energy disappear, you can only move it somewhere else.
A collapsing star do not transfer most of it's mass/energy somewhere else, it just pull it to the inside. So this mass/energy is still there, and can still produce gravitational pull.
>after-school activities (clubs etc)
> overpowered school council (usually led by strict jerks)
>transfer student (love interest/love rival/dangerous individual)
>we can't drink, smoke, gamble - we're under 18
>last minute save from bullies
>measuring peoples worth by their exam results
I hope one day we get some non-canon fanservice book where random characters throughout parts are pulled and forced to fight eachother in random settings
This is probably because almost none of Part 4 takes place in school. I wouldn't even call it a school manga.
But yea I also loathe all the fucking high school anime we get. So like 90% anime since 2006.
Struggled to write diploma work for Bachelor's degree for months
Finished reading part IV yesterday
Fucking note about Jotaro writing doctorate while his stay in Morioh hotel
> despite searching and fighting various stands users
> despite searching bow and arrow
>despite searching Kira
>despite (most probably) helping Joseph take care of invisible baby
> despite dealing with his "uncle" and his friends
It felt as manga slapped me in face. Fuck you Jotaro!
So, /a/nons, how do we fix part VI of Jojo?
>Valentine staying alive and still doing nothing wrong
>Sandman not being shitty mob and native americans subplot (come on, If he were to fight with anything, It should be AMERICA)
>Hot pants forced to wear a hot dress
>Valentine choosing an american as his succesor instead of lizard british man
>Dio is now MC
>kid still dying of cold at the end
But seriously, why did everyone hate Johnny so much? It would be easier and more important to attack Pocoloco in order to win
There are also schematic roles in class (smart, arrogant guy, bitchy class president, sweet "next door" girl in love with MC, tsundere, delinquent, 3 class clowns)
It's not even that only small part of action takes place in school. Characters goes to school on daily basic (it's at least implied), wears uniforms all the time. It's just they have life outside the school. Have friends/rivals from other places as school.
And damn, i just loved those moments when characters randomly gathered on Morioh street.
High school sells.
It appeals to tweens who idealize high school, actual high schoolers and nostalgic adults. It's not only anime, high school-themed media is fucking everywhere. It's probably the easiest bet when it comes to making a setting because it's hard to fuck up since teenagers are unpredictable and are prone to doing all sorts of stuff ranging from stupid to clever.
Holhorse can control the bullets the same way Mista can and he is pretty fast too so it would be Hol Horse victory cause he has infinite bullets and a partner he always have a partner
Mista wins. Hol Horse apparently has the upperhand, but Sex Pistols would probably be able to deflect the bullets as it does with Mista's own. Hol can try and have his bullets weave through SP like he did with Silver Chariot's sword, but unlike then, now he's facing six stands with incredible cordination. Numbers would overwhelm his and his Emperor's capacity to react.
>Inb4 stand bullets can't be redirected by normal means.
They can by a stand, specially one specialized in redirecting bullets.
that's a trap
I wonder how many lolicons were disappointed when they saw this
Fist of Tulkas is the weapon you mentioned, I personally keep it in the offhand slot next to the Crissegrim in case I want to punch a motherfucker out. It also launches fireballs. Dawn of Sorrow came out before I read Jojo and I grabbed it on launch day, so I thought the stone mask was just some useless piece of crap. Imagine my surprise when I read Part 1.
>There will never be
porn of little Jolyne
Once Kira enters the scene, have him sing a calm, comfy song over a special ED that shows him committing various murders before coming home at the end of the day and going to sleep with a severed hand at his side.
All of it very macabre for maximum soundtrack dissonance.
There's something that bothered me about the ending of Part IV. Non-Stand users like Mrs. Kawajiri are able to see Stray Cat, since it's both the Stand and user. So when Killer Queen imprisons Stray Cat in its sexy abs, do normies see a plant kitty cat monster floating at waist-height?
For that matter, how is Kira able to call and dismiss Killer Queen with Stray Cat in there? I thought Stands were psychic projections, so I don't get where Stray Cat was in the time between Killer Queen imprisoning Stray Cat and being summoned again to fight the Morioh Boys.
Maybe that weird ab-cabinet (abinet?) acts as a pocket dimension? So when he de-summons KQ, the door closes and Stray Cat's stuck there.
Maybe it leads to the same place Cream and The Hand puts things
The term is normalfag, just use it then.
Or like how Jumpin' Jack Flash has giant spinning orbs on his arms to fire bolts out of. Like, to a normal person Lang Wrangler is just hopping around in anti-gravity with floating orbs of nuts+bolts and shit.
He'd just look like a hyper-telekinetic.
Everyone has always referred to this as Highway Star's illusion ability or something, but it still doesn't really make sense unless the stand itself like carved out a room specifically in that tunnel
Imagine how scary it would be to fight a Stand user without having a Stand. Knowing there are people around that could kill you brutally without doing anything. And the worst part is you'd never see it coming.
So why do people refer to money as yen in Part 5 and 7? Is that a translation error or does Araki really think that people use yen in Italy and America? You could also use the explanation that a typical shonen audience wouldn't know about these sort of things and so Araki dumbs it down for them, but most of SBR is seinen so there isn't as much of an excuse there.
The OP has a fucking pastebin, read it.
I wasn't sure if the link had anything specific to do with Steel Ball Run specifically, so I didn't wanna risk getting spoiled -- I'm new to /a/ so I apologize for my naivete.
yeah, yet still it managed to be fucking enjoyably
But from those in-consequences, couldn't Rohan write something like "I can't turn unconsciously turn invisible" for Invisible Baby? That could help a lot Joseph in taking care of her
I'm not sure what you're talking about but
>Jonathan and Joseph possess Stands that resemble vines
>Vine in this cover turns into a chain, that connects to Jotaro's chain and onwards
>Holly's stand are vines with flowers trying to bloom
So do you think Jotaro was them insisting Araki have a nationalistic character? I like Jotaro, but it really seems that SJ just hounded him into it after two parts of non-Japanese protagonists.
Just go to Reddit no one around here likes to pander to newfags, come back once you've fully caught up with the manga and can hold some discussion to the series without getting spoiled.
How broken is Softu andu Wet? What are the extents of it's abilities to plunder something from objetcs and organisms? We've seen his bubblet being able to steal physical objetcs such as screws but also concepts like sounds and friction. Can't Soft & Wet theoretically steal the life from someone?
It's the auxiliary uses that annoy me a little bit. Like when they actually explode, removing flesh on the twins, or enveloping a rock completely and lifting it up. The bubbles themselves should be fragile enough that a strong attacker can nullify them. If they're overused, a good villain (read jobin) can adapt.
While it is pointed out, the Steins;Gate game is filled with them, though not sure if any in the anime since I didnt watch it, theres "Could this be Ora Ora?" theres a scene where Okabe says something along the lines of "It felt like time had stopped, did someone use The World?" which then adds "The World" to your tips, "But I refuse" is said a bunch, and the things the bullies said when Dio kissed Erina, "We respect him, thats why he's admirable" or something like that, I'm sure one of you guys who are more into JoJo then me can remember
Post Potential anime endings
>there was even a damn cowboy
Yes for the first quarter of the Part.
The rest wasn't Wild West at all, anon.
After Kansas City it isn't Wild West anymore, and the real meet of the story takes place on the Eastern side of the Mississippi
Remember that time an official news article in the New York Times posted a picture of Jonathan?
that's some abstract coloring OP
Finally, I get an opportunity to post this.
I just discovered the "Vampire Knives" and "Stardust Armour" in Terraria, although it's not subtle at all it's fucking greato.
He may also be a vampire, rockman, or some other weirdo.
Johnny Rule 34 makes him too masculine for my taste.
If you're looking for twinks, look no further...
You are beyond Forgiveness, this is pure blasphemy.
So says the man that got his ass kicked by a little kid and his own stand
Then go outside, breed mosquitoes, and then lock yourself in a room with them.
Then, you shall indulge your cripple fetish by pleasing his own fetish
This doesn't have anything to do with anything, but the soviets used to torture people by throwing them in a closet filled with thousands of bedbugs. They would be locked in there for hours, getting bit and fed on by thousands of little insects in the dark.
vampires are shit friend, just accept it
A shit picture for a shit post for a shit thread, that was the idea.
As the first reply aptly put it, fitting.
Yes it is, it only has less chapters because it shifted to a monthly schedule, so each chapter is longer. Furthermore, the art style got a lot better, at least in my opinion. SBR cover 11 is glorious.
He's doing this.
I just don't like how the covers used to have white frames, although the second to last Vento Aureo cover is amazing.
I actually really like the French versions of the covers, no white border makes it better senpai.

Starting the ova lads, wish me luck
this is legitimately a great song for the part 8 ed, it fits thematically, has a modern sound and just gives off an ed vibe. Don't give a shit about naysayers.
I just finished watching the whole thing a few days ago and I greatly prefer the anime series, if only for how colorful it is.The ova is so damn brown and depressing. Some things were better though, like Iggy looking like an actual dog. Didn't like the voices at all, but that might just be because I watched the anime first and have those voices ingrained in my head.
Better animation, less faithful artstyle, absence of shitty black lines on everyone's faces, superior Jotaro colours, worse voices, 7up, less faithful adaptation.
The TV anime is nearly a panel for panel adaptation so you aren't missing and story or whatever. But the manga is still worth reading and probably a bit better due to better pacing.
>literally the first result when googling ''gyro zeppeli''
Also the colours are better here >>134151621
He feels like way more of a main protagonist than gino or cesare and a lot more fleshed out. Like you feel that he could be the one to survive because he's a lot more "present" than the other zepellis
He never did get that girl teddy bear.
Are you me? I especially lost it during the Sandman fight when he and Johnny where in the water. And, for some reason, when he actually did die it was the one time I wasn't losing my shit.
>And, for some reason, when he actually did die it was the one time I wasn't losing my shit.
I'm definitely you, I think at that point I was burnt out of worrying about him and it just made sense he would die in the climatic final battle
I felt more when rereading but it was honestly Diego whose death got to me most when I mostly overlooked it on my first read, not nearly as attached to him as Gyro but Araki did something good that whole sequence from jumping out the window up to his last breath
Is Jojo the only SJ manga where the main protagonists often lose, or even die? As in actually die, never to be seen again. The ending for Part 6 is so shocking, they just get wrecked and Pucci just about completely victorious, other than the Weather Report stand getting the final say.
Jonathan dies, Joseph barely wins through asspull, both Jolyne and Jotaro fail quite miserably, and although Johnny defeats Valentine he loses the final battle against The World, loses the race (and his best friend), then proceeds to die a miserable death. And even the parts that do have Jojo winning, are bittersweet and still depressing. Any other SJ series like this at all?
I realize SBR isn't SJ but you get the point.
Its not entirely out of the question, Gyro was shown getting frisky with a patient and we all know Araki loves to pull children out of one night stands.
Then again if that where the case it'd be unlikely he'd bear the Zeppeli name and would be far removed from Gyro by whenever part 9 will be set.
I thought the Zeppeli family "dropped off the face of the Earth". That doesn't particularly mean they're dead, it just means nobody knows what happened to them. Gyro had like five younger brothers, didn't he? Who knows if one of them had kids and one of said children pops up with a psuedonym or something?
Still, I personally don't believe we'll be seeing anymore Zeppelis, either. Still, expect the unexpected.
I'm new to JoJo (just now reading part 5)
is it gay to want to fuck some of the JoJo's? i'm straight but they're all cool and have nice bodies.
it's not gay, just an emotion that the writer is trying to put in my head, right?
Jojo inspired me to get back to being fit after a few years of laziness
Not gay to admire, it's gay to lust
Top Left: Alt color of his EoH costume
Top Middle: JoJo a GoGo
Top Right: From one of Araki's chapter doodles from part 4.
Bottom Left: Volume 36 cover
Bottom Right: Volume 42 cover
>Badass stand designs
>Geb fight is much improved
>Dio's World is longer
>unique take on part 3
>Using stands to jump instead of flying
>Emerald Splash is a fucking gatling gun
>Awful voices in both languages
>Bad sound design
>Skips cool fights
>Ruins Banira Aisu
It's not perfect but it gets more shit than it deserves. It has a lot of cool ideas that are even better than the original too. I love that jotaro launches himself with his stand instead of randomly flying
Steel Ball Run has an overabundance of blondies.
Josuke gets 4 GHA's
Josuke is from Part 4.
3 of the GHA's are with characters from part 4.
Part 3 of JJBA is Stardust Crusaders.
>The last GHA is with his father, Joseph Joestar.
>Joseph is in both Part 3 and Part 4.
Is this all a coincidence? I think not.
I think Araki is subtly hinting at a part 4 anime, coming next year judging from the looks of this.
I am just as good as ghost detective Kira.
What? Source? Did I miss something?
english translation disapeared from bato.to
Depends, which ones do you want to fuck?
I'd say it's an interesting read and provides some nice context for the whole heaven thing, some people complain that it's out of character for DIO though. It's worth taking a look to form your own opinion since it isn't too lengthy.
Pucci basically fast forwarded the VHS tape "World of Jojo 1" until the end and then restarted it
Except the VHS tape had change so now everyone has green hair
tl dr Pucci reset everything and then chaos theory take over
You are Anon, mexican NEET and virgin, - you have lived like this until Pucci decided to fine HEAVEN
Since time is moving faster and faster forward, you die and so does the universe. BUT because energy/matter cannot be created or destroyed the Universe restarts itself
So you are now Anon, Prince of Nigeria with a harem of qt junglebunnies
Has there ever been a more accurate depiction of Italians in modern media?
Trying to remain skeptical until there's proper confirmation, but I considered the possibility of it being a reference sheet for a videogame and can't find any games with jojo characters that include all those minor villains. The only thing I can think of that would warrant a detailed reference of all those characters is the anime.
Fuck off thats from the Heritage for the Future concept art booklet.
It didn't, but there's concept art of characters ranging from Part 1 to Part 4, as far as I've seen. It's hard to find. Even the Pillarmen were meant to be in it, and Stroheim.
>that voice will be changed in the anime
Are any of the artbooks by Araki available for sale in english?
The world is full of stand users
Post your favorite and least favorite picture from your JoJo folder
>there is an official make of his tie
>can't find it anywhere for less than $390
There was an anon that posted a custom grey version of Kira's tie that was available on a some "Make it yourself" website, it was only about 33$ and he said it was good quality.
Here's my least favourite. I feel only regret saving it,
and making it my Youtube Icon.
I never bookmarked the link, but if you manage to find it heres the the template for the tie.
Oh, fuck you.
I want to corrupt him.
Take your pick.
itd be functionally the same as fighting a psychic
thats all stands are really, a physical representation to make psychics less boring to read in a comic
Abdul is simply a pyrokinetic, for example
"having strong patriotic feelings, especially a belief in the superiority of one's own country over others."
This is the definition of nationalistic, learn to use it correctly next time.
If I remember right Goku is based on Sun Wukong, so that's probably the case with him.
I always imagined that Fist of the North Star took place in the US though, probably along the east coast, despite everyone having random ass names so who knows with Kenshiro.
>Type in "gureito daze" without quotations
