I thought Digimon Adventure 02 had already dealt with the romantic loose ends, even if you ignore the epilogue.
Comes Tri’s first movie and 75% of it is:
>This main guy still has feelings for that girl, consciously avoiding her and the other guy on hallways, oh fuck they just called him, now can’t walk unnoticed.
>This girl is suddenly torn between choosing which dude she should go to cheer for, despite that infamous “you have grown up, Taichi” scene, which seemed like she had made her choice.
>This rival dude isn’t even trying to get the girl’s attention.
>This extroverted girl now teases the geek dude who seemly likes her, despite them having little to no interaction originally.
>The older guy has an offscreen girlfriend.
>The main dude and the rival crosses arms like a fucking married couple.
Let’s not forget the 02 Digidestined get fucked in the Movie’s first seconds, I assume the people behind Tri hated 02 and are pampering Digimon’s biggest fanbase,
The other 25% is Taichi now being extremely worried about causalities, even though not a single one happened for him to be that shocked?
Maybe that walkway and bridge meant something to him; its death was too shocking.
>Downloaded it after preparing myself to watch Sora literally on Yamato’s dick.
>What I see is Taichi being love shy, Yamato not even trying and Sora still in the “choosing phase”.
I didn’t think Toei had the balls to milk this any further.
Bandai and Toei caved in to shippers, apparently it is the only discussion that prevailed years after the show ended, which is quite true in a sense.
I barely remember Wizardmon’s death, now the Lunch scene is still fresh in my mind.
Taichi being constantly down the slopes wasn’t handled so well, he is down before he sees Kwagamon’s path of destruction, then spends the rest of the movie like this; it isn’t very clear why he is down before, is it due unrequited love? Not seeing Agumon in a long time? His depression before and after Kwagamon look the same.
In Diablomon's Counterattack, if I remember correctly. Isn't explicit at all, but you just can feel that something happened there.
Well, at least the new Digivolution sequences are cool, and Brave Heart wasn't raped, just a light remix.
Didn't like how they lazed out by the end though, Agumon and Gabumon evolving scene by scene offscreen.
>the original 02 season never happened
Why the fuck does no one mention them then. Look s bunch of fucking digimon are rampaging around let's look for our friends who gives a shit what the second generation who Hikari and Takeru would have been in contact with if not helping in their mission.
Post partners. I was stuck after Paildramon since I don't really care for Imperialdramon
I'd imagine jupitermon is because he's too much of a lawfag and junomon is a fucking yandere.
I would have said alphamon if she's a woman but then remembered she gay because of cyber sleuth and being part of Ami's harem so she'd stand no chance against those eyes.
Machinedramon da bess partona you can ask for.
I like it, this is an alternate one I made for an old Digimon thread
machine digimon don't get enough love
Skullgreymon is the best Greymon
This nigga knows whats up.
>yfw Taichi's love interest in Tri gets revealed to be
I don't understand why they made Taichi such a wimp. It's not the first time digimon attacked their town. Heck, last time digimon kidnapped their parents and held them hostage with those reaper digimon.
I just want some bro bonding and less drama in the future.
I'm still a big fan of the <Alphamon wiping them from the kid's memory when he "killed" them> theory. If we are getting focus on 2 kids per movie, we might know more during Takeru/Hikari one
I'm not really into shipping, but that's the "obvious" pairing choice to go to for duo focus considering they have been paired for almost everything else in the promo and their 02 relevantcy. And bitch please Tri have been nothing but shipping, especially the yaoi ones.
Tri is just going to be ship pandering because in a franchise about monsters that's all most of the fans care about for some reason.
He learned from Daisuke that digimon girls are sweet.
You keep your cheek covered dick away from Gomamon.
Doubt it. Seems like something else.
Besides, X-Antibodies aren't a virus. They're antibodies against the X Program, and the X Program doesn't empower those it infects. This seems more similar to Eater.
But he's already got someone.
I notice a severe lack of Mimi in this thread. Let's fix that, shall we?
>The series ended in main triangle, Mimi + Koushiro, Takeru + Hikari, Jou + studying
Main Triangle, Mimi mildly annoying Koshiro, Takeru >>Oni-chan, Hikari>>Oni-chan, Joe + Studying = Stealing Bike from Girl.
I'm not an incesfag, but an scene of what?
Of Hikari surprised he's actually not a fag and finally pursuing other girls his age? Only for her to proceed to not give a flying fuck and and enjoying seeing him hit on girls while eating ice cream?
The delusionals are the Takarifags that genuinely believe she's "jealous".
Omegamon was too busy creaming himself over Alphamon to fight properly. Which forces Alphamon to do more work, which in turn causes Omegamon to turn even more useless.
It's a vicious cycle.
Yamato could never provide Taichi even a fraction of the happiness that Hikari could.
So did each Digidestined in Frontier use their spirits their own way, or did the spirits impart their own method of fighting to the humans?
So if say Takuya spirit evolved into Lobomon would he still fight the same way as if Koji spirit evolved into Lobomon?
Best one we had is not drawing undertale.
Beat Stingmon's ass and load his data, do the same with Omegamon. So long as you're not a shit partner like Daisuke, you should be fine.
If you're really good, you can get him there by pure skill and power alone, no data loading required.
.....I guess so, but don't let that happen again. You should always have Mimi images on standby.
>not having pics of best girl
Let's fix that.
Seriously anon, get your shit together
Haven't got around to watching Tri yet, so is Taichi still based?
If you want the full thing, go look for it.
Sadly, no. That will change in next movie, tho.
He's cooled off and aimless in his life, so now the fact that digimon battles cause huge amounts of property damage and mass threaten lives are just now hitting him. What's the point in trying to protect a city in a kaiju movie if the battle to save it ends up destroying it anyway?
>no Mimi images
You've angered Miyako.
Am I the only one that dislikes the whole mecha look for the higher forms? The lower ones seem fine but it feels like they just said fuck it when going full gundam instead.
>Taichi: "... I,"
>Taichi: "Really am the worst brother, aren't I? Laying my hands......."
>Taichi: "On my family, and my little sister at that"
>Hikari: "If you're gonna say it like that, then Hikari's a bad girl too"
>Hikari: "After all,"
>Hikari: "That's how much I love my brother"
>A secret shared by just two people, one that can't be told to anyone
>Hikari: "Since the day I was born, forever"
>Hikari: "I'll always love you"
>Two people who should never have fallen in loved,
>had fallen in love. A story of a pair of inexperienced siblings
I don't hate her but I don't like her either there isn't much going for her so I don't really give a shit if she gets with anyone. Takeru on the other hand dress and acts like a faggot. He was okay when he was younger but seriously what the fuck.
Was there a new trailer or something?
>Meiko is actually Jou in drag
>Meicoomon is just Gomamon wearing animal costume
>Meiko and Meicoomon are aliases made up on the spot
>Alphamon is after them because Alphamon hates fags
I'm calling it now. Screencap this.
According to various supplementary materials and profiles, humanoid bodies are actually more ideal for combat. Which, I suppose, makes sense. Since Digimon get stronger as they evolve regardless of body size and structure, having a more versatile humanoid body would be ideal.
And since Chrome Digizoid is the strongest material in the Digital World, the strongest ones would naturally be covered in it.
This one is kinda cringy.
Fair enough. But it's not like we can expect much from these anyway. I mean, most of them are drawn by kids. Middle schoolers and such. Pixiv is basically Japanese Deviantart and most of these types are drawn by teenage girls.
I liked this movie because of the nostalgia but didn't really like evolutions and especially how they skipped Omegamon's evolution and I hated how they made Taichi care about the collateral damage so much. As long as no one got hurt shouldn't that be good enough for him?
Omegamon never had an evolution sequence to begin with.
And people did get hurt. There were mentions of injury. And it'd be hard to make assurances that absolutely no one was around. Perhaps someone had fallen unconscious, or trying to hide. When such a large ferris wheel was toppled over, once cannot make any guarantees that there was no one trapped inside it without actually checking. It was convenient that there were no deaths, of course, but it IS possible that someone would have gotten hurt.
>Mimi + Koushiro
Point me towards a single scene in 01 and 02 where Koushiro and Mimi got even remotely teased? I know it's a fan prefered couple and it's kinda sweet, but before Tri there was no official hint towards that, I even remember Mimi blushing around some blonde american digidestined in 02.
Tri was literally the director taking a trip to some shipper centered Digimon forum and making it official.
Then I hope tri. ended in Koushiro+Mimi+Jou triangle, which is a vastly more superior triangle than any other in Digimonverse that any other triangles might as well not try.
Jou will need to learn to balance the studying and the digimonning.
Okay but like, what if the 02 character were retroactively erased from existence after a huge destructive battle; but Taichi subconsciously remembers them which is why we get the flash backs when he's waking up.
It would also explain why he's acting like he's got some ptsd.
I can't seem to believe it, for some reason. Like, Jou is perhaps my favourite character in Adventure (if not him then Kou) and he has the good points (sincerity, responsible, trustworthy and can be motivating if necessary) that can attract another person, but I just don't believe him when he said he got a girlfriend. I don't know why. It's some sort of subconscious distrust.
Maybe the 'editing effect' on Taichi's memories are incomplete and left several glitches. Maybe what Taichi remembers are broken bridges, as destroyed phones as pure non-organic damage actually does have a wounded person attached to it that he can't remember.
Taichi has childhood trauma.
He once almost killed his sister as result of good intention. This event has deeply affected him. (ep 48)
As he grows up, the anxiety also grows with him. He becomes more paranoid and more self-conscious of the weight of his actions, like what most adults would. But unlike most adults, Taichi's condition is way worse due to the childhood trauma.
This is why Taichi, as one of Chosen Children, is gifted with Crest of Courage. Taichi values courage more than anyone else since he would always need it to supress his internal turmoil, anxiety and trauma.
He has no reason to lie though, Jou literally blurted out he had a girlfriend without being nervous or being pushed about it, he only started getting flustered when the girls doubted him which is totally justified, the man was like "Man, you are my best friends, why won't you believe me? I have the right to be happy too!"..
Tachi seemed pretty mature and aware of his surroundings when he was 14 in 02 though.
It's very far fetched he would suddenly understand the world around him in a completely different manner just 2 years later.
I could come up with several reasons why Jou doesn't have to mention it, how nobody even broached that topic, a ridiculous theory of Jou understanding what Mimi wanted of him and trying to refuse her, but screw all that.
My disbelief in the existence of Jou's girlfriend is entirely irrational. It's based entirely on the shipper in me that refuses to accept Jou/Mimi may not happen.
>Takeru on the other hand dress and acts like a faggot.
He was literally calling girls left and right like a player, and somehow became a band manager, that's pussy magnetism right there.
No, he definitely lost some mojo.
That's solely for the series to have a room for character development again, if Taichi was a badass from the start there would be no conflict, and without conflict there isn't a story.
The most impressing thing is that Koushiro is the kind of genius that gets filthy rich even before reaching their twenties; I thought he would just become some professor with a shitty salary, but no he became Mark Zuckerberg.
Pay attention Mimi, you might win the lottery if you go for the Koushiro route.
I wonder if the movie is set in a way that one of the two MC lost its [crest characteristics] and the other don't, so the other had to return the one MC to his/her crest.
So Movie 1 stars Taichi and Yamato, with Taichi losing his Courage and Yamato having to convince him to get back to it.
Movie 2 is about Jou and Mimi and Jou is the one currently under duress, though I'm not sure we can say that Jou "lost his Sincerity". There's some hints to that, as in the end Jou didn't really say what he wanted to say when he come to the meeting under the bridge, nor has he spoken to anyone about his problems and his inability to participate in the Digimon battles.
One of the movies will definitely have Takeru and Hikari as its main characters, so I'm wondering which of these two will 'lose the crest'.
I'd like the movie in which Koushiro and Sora share the spotlight to have Koushiro as the one who "lost his crest", because Koushiro doesn't really...get tested for the crest? I want to see how Koushiro can lose his Knowledge.
02 writing is pretty much retarded though. It's very inconsistent most of the time. Like Takeru's MagnaAngemon who once single-handedly defeated Piedmon is a full-time jobber in 02. Also, Taichi rarely dealed with enemies in real world, although when he did, things were usually under control.
>although when he did, things were usually under control.
Because he was calm and cool.
Did you forget his own episode where he and Wargreymon had to step it up because Imperialdramon was cleaning a mess far away?
All that means is that the enemies that appeared in 02 were stronger than what HolyAngemon fought in the past.
Did it ever occur to you that if there are Perfect-level Angel Digimon capable of fighting at levels beyond what their levels would normally imply, then the same may hold true for Demon Digimon as well? God forbid that something other than an angel might display an unusually large amount of power.
Seriously, people fellate angels too much in these threads.
Oh, okay. I'm going with what's written in Wikimon, so that's why I said 'Knowledge'. Then I wanted to see how Koushiro lost his Wisdom.
Also, Angel Digimon are just as vulnerable to darkness as Demon Digimon are vulnerable to light. As evidenced by the fact that many angels fall very easily when hit by darkness-based attacks.
Speaking of Wikimon, someone in there is a Jou fan.
I think digimon has pushed my depression to a deep end... at first I was so happy, adventure coming back?!
It seemed like a dream!
I kept quiet and mostly stuck to other things while awaited for the release.
But, a month ago, I started watching the adventure series all over again, 01 was just as nice as I remembered.
And then 02... I know most fans hate 02, but... I love 02... and it saddens me to realize that such potential was lost halfway trough it.
But... even during my childhood when I saw 02 for the first time as a kid, I loved it and it made me happy.
Daisuke, Ken, Yolei, Cody... I have so many mixed feelings about the original japanese and the other dubs.
But, with all the hate towards 02, I tried cheering myself up with fics.
They only made me sadder as I stumbled into some with the ship I really like.
So... I guess just knowing that 02 will be left forgotten, just breaks apart whatever it is that beats in my chest.
For knowing that a single part of my childhood will never come back...
In 02 you have the arc at the beginning with Koushiro and Mimi first being paired off and ending up exploring a temple or whatever you wanna call it. Cause Koushiro has a habit of babling on when talking about a topic as well as getting super focused on decoding the text on the wall Mimi ends up getting jealous and complains he should pay attention to her and then storms off.
They also occasionally end up on top of each other when Mimi falls off things (Whamon comes to mind).
In revenge of diaboromon you have Koushiro and Mimi being stuck back in school as well as Hikari and Takeru towards the end.
Also this is assuming a bit but it seems like Koushiro is the one that mostly keeps in contact with Mimi in the states. Which isn't surprising if you think about it.
He helps out with a friends company and has an office so chances are he is up at times when Mimi is awake.
The fact that we actually see them dead at the start surely meant they won't be forgotten forever. They'll probably come up in maybe Movie 5 (that's when you already have a movie for two characters each).
Who said it was weird? OP is pretty much pointing out how Tri was shippers paradise.
How many even expected it to be that way, considering 02 seemly had put on a closure to that? I thought it would be just battles from start to finish.
>and I hated how they made Taichi care about the collateral damage so much. As long as no one got hurt shouldn't that be good enough for him?
They did say people got in the hospital though.
Taichi has always had this trait about worrying about things that could hurt others and potentially be his fault, mainly about Hikari, and now that he's older, it's become clear that he thinks about it in a much more widespread case.
People don't seem to realize for example, that the last scene is supposed to be sort of terrifying as this is the ferris wheel that they were literally just on
>I thought it would be just battles from start to finish
No Digimon series is ever just this. It had to have character drama, and adorable monsters and monsters you can love and monsters with their own problems. Expecting it to be 'just battles' is as foolish a hope as expecting Movie 6 to adequately conclude the romantic arcs.
Characters having trouble:
Taichi. MUH CELLPHONE.
Sora who can't decide between friendship or love. Indecision.
Jou. Who has the exam pressure.
But what about Takeru and Hikari? They both seem better than usual.
>Am I the only one that dislikes the whole mecha look for the higher forms
Digimon as merchandise always sells better the more human and more mecha-ish that they look. And Gundams are cool man, you don't know what you're talking about!
A bridge was broken and a phone was split apart with some injuries in the battle between two Adults. Taichi's probably already extrapolating that a battle between the strongest Digimon he knew (Omegamon) and someone who can match it is not going to end that well.
I mean, in the end it does end 'well' enough, but Taichi probably had his paranoia.
>but Taichi subconsciously remembers them which is why we get the flash backs when he's waking up.
I don't think that's Taichi remembering them, it's what's happening in the background
WarGreymon's third horn just felt so off in that model. It's not like completely attached to WarG's head and more like stuck together with a hardened block of glue or something.
Another thing people miss is that the cellphone-chan Taichi keeps flashing back to is the same one Hikari has. In fact the first time he flashes back to cellphone-chan is when he's calling Hikari and tells her not to come over.
His imouto worry complex hasn't gone away
>So... I guess just knowing that 02 will be left forgotten
02 isn't forgotten though.
The 02 kids probably won't be relevant until the end probably though
>I thought it would be just battles from start to finish.
You were never going to get that.
People like Digimon, heck the reason Digimon Tri is being made, is because of character drama and arcs that toyetic anime tend to not have. You come for the monsters and stay for the characters
So Taichi has two cellphones? Dude, how extravagant can you get?
Thankfully. Hunters who leapt through time was so bad even compared to the ratings for the first two seasons of Xros Wars that some people assumed it would kill the animes for good.
Huh? Isn't this his cellphone? The one he's talking to Hikari with in this scene I''m talking about?
I really don't see Imperialdramon getting one shot
Tamers doesn't get really good until the last arc.
But honestly if you haven't enjoyed the Deva arc then you might not like it as much as others. Do keep in mind than by "as much as others" I mean you probably won't be frothing at the mouth to know what happens.
KNIFE OF DAY
Fucking kill yourself Yamato.
I think it's pretty much a given they will ignore 02's epilogue in this, how can this grunge reject go to fucking Mars?
He's always been like this though. In Adventure he kept boldly pushing ahead, damn the consequences, until Koushirou told him that yes, if you die in the dream you DO die in reality. Once he realizes the gravity of a conflict it hits him like a truck. It just happened quicker this time because he's not as brash anymore.
Things change. Especially when a former main character's Digimon is turned into an antagonist.
Hell, Demon's basically evil Seraphimon, and it's usually depicted as crazy strong. Turning into a villain always makes you stronger.
That ferris wheel survived myotismon too.
It's pretty clear that's not happening. I might have held out hope for a while but then the teacher starts telling Taichi about going overseas and learning new languages which matches up with him becoming a diplomat
Taichi was probably too high on adrenaline at that time to notice it. Besides, the destruction caused by the bad guys in 02 usually minimal.
Also, Taichi is older than what used to be in 02. Adult's mindset is different than young adult's. Being older doesnt usually mean more mature, most of the times adult is more likely to be more confused because they start to question more and become more conscious about the harshness of reality.
Notice how Taichi said "I see more yet I understand less" when pressed by Yamato about his incompetent.
If you don't have an eye for the detail, it's not for you. Tamers makes the characters more realistic, so that means their not directly appealing.
The first 13 episodes don't even have an antagonist, you can't just watch it absentmindedly. Things only get to the surface from episode 34 onwards, but by then you'll have missed most of the journey.
KoshirouxJou is the only OTP.
Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
Oh I finally figured it out. You know where Koushiro's crush on Mimi is coming from? they're using the drama CD
AICHI: Since it’s a love letter, it’s most likely he’s written it to a girl. And when you consider the girls we have here…? There’s only Sora, Hikari, and Mimi-chan!
AGUMON: You’d never expect such a matter-of-fact deduction as that from Taichi…
MIMI: Oh, I knew Koushiro-kun liked me! I always suspected he did. It really must be a sin being too beautiful.
…But this is going to be troublesome. After all, it’s not just Koushiro-kun who likes me, but there’s also Taichi-san, Yamato-san, Takeru-kun, and Jyou-senpai, and everyone else! I’m sure if this keeps up, all of the boys in the world will be kneeling before me before long~.
PALMON: Mimi… Why are you striking a pose?
MIMI: A—Ah… No reason…
TAICHI: Let’s first go to Sora. If he wrote the letter to Sora…
GOMAMON: He’ll be hen-pecked 100%!
GABUMON: He’ll clearly be unhappy.
EVERYONE: [nodding and clapping]
SORA: What do you mean by that?!
TAICHI: Then Hikari…
JYOU: Wait a minute! If it’s Hikari-kun he was writing to, you’re gonna end up being his older brother in the future, Taichi!
YAMATO: If that happened to me, I’d refuse!!
TAICHI: Hey, are you picking a fight or somethin’?!
[coughs] Anyway, whatever. I wouldn’t allow their relationship anyway.
SORA: So that means, the girl that Koushiro likes is…
KOUSHIRO: MMMRGGH!! MMRHHH! MMRHHH!!
MIMI: AHAHAHAHAHAHA! I knew it, the world belongs to me!!
With my pride riding the wind~
HIKARI: That’s probably wrong.
(The rest of this is amazing because Hikari goes maximum trolling with pretending she's sick and Mimi is bullying her)
Anyway, they never said who it was in the end, but it was pretty heavily theorized for it to have been Mimi
(Taichi confirmed for total siscon)
I’m amazed this wasn’t a disaster in animation like Sailor Moon Crystal, Saint Soul of Gold, Dragonball Super; it being a “movie” isn’t even the reason since it was planned to be a series and it got changed at the least minute, there’s even separate episodes format available, also Battle of Gods and Ressurection of F were movies but the animation was still subpar.
I guess Bandai watched this production closely, keeping Toei in check.
That's really weak levels of destruction for a mega level fight, really.
Geez Yamato the only guy Takeru wants to fuck is you.
One of the Mega might not be fighting completely seriously.
Second, Taichi might have expected, no, known, that the damage can be worse, far, far worse and that's the reason for his hesitation. That the damage ended up relatively small is a surprise and it makes Taichi's destructive prediction seemed like a coward's indecision.
Yes, they got canonized in the Digimon Adventure game for the PSP, everyone goes Mega instead of just Taichi and Yamato.
Digimon Adventure Tri got confirmed for having everyone go Mega as well.
That's not really fair. The D-Reaper was assimilating the entire planet through multiple points of entry, and Alphamon was only out to fry a single wayward digimon. Plus, he backed off the moment an enemy that could face him appeared.
Neither of them were fighting completely seriously. Didn't you see what a single clash of their swords did? It generated a shockwave large enough to nearly send an adult male off his feet. They were clearly not going completely all out, either of them. Remember Omegamon's debut? Remember the huge explosions that resulted from just a few shots of its Garuru Cannon?
Compared to that, the blast in this film was practically puny.
Do we know HOW the other Chosen Children's digimon partners reached Ultimate? For Taichi and Yamato it requires them to follow the prophecy, which stated that a 'miracle' will happen if the holder of the crest of hope and light shoot arrows of love at their most important person.
How did Piyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon and Tailmon get to become Hououmon, HeraklesKabuterimon, Rosemon, Vikemon, Seraphimon and Ophanimon?
In the game they just believed in their crests really really hard.
I'd assume for tri, they will each come to some kind of super epiphany like how they all reached Ultimate/Perfect in Adventure so you get that same nostalgia
Remember that massive levels of destruction isn't a good thing though.
>Given that Holydramon was used for the 15th Anniversary Digivice,
But Ofanimon is the one in the game
Let's hope nobody starts filming the Adventure kids because I think reaction to them would be considerably more worse than the Tamers having to run from the government
The 15th Anniversary Digivice was released AFTER the game.
It looks like they're disregarding the game entirely. It's not as if it's canon. They're not gonna achieve their Ultimate evolutions by going through some irrelevant magic door and fighting a tougher version of a past boss character.
>Tailmon will start to Warp Evolution, but then something weird happened
>"There are two lines! W-what's happening?"
>"The lines...they're converging."
>What results is an ungodly mess of half Holydramon and half Ophanimon
The Ultimates of all the Adventure kids, including the 02 cast.
The difference is Takato isn't Taichi and the dumb pig was already rampaging, so Takato was more worried about even having the power to stop it. It was soundly beating the partners until Takato started his kaioken and fired WarGrowlmon up to roast him.
>Oh, you're a real babe-magnet Takeru-kun.
>It's not that. She's just a friend.
>What was that?
>Come on. Are you jealous, Hikari-chan?
>Not a chance!
Remember that leomon already died, so he doesn't have to die again.
>Nobody noticed Omegamon's formation was basically the whole "DNA" look of the Jogress sequence
Apparently GrandisKuwagamon is supposed to be another form Wormmon's Ultimate (GranKuwagamon). Just like how Imperialdramon Fightermode is another form of Vmon's Ultimate.
Armadillomon's Ultimate was Vikemon, but since it's now Gomamon's, nobody knows what it'll be.
>The main dude and the rival crosses arms like a fucking married couple
Because that's what they are. Reminder.
It's not, though. Paildramon has aspects of both XV-mon and Stingmon. Dinobeemon is the same, only the dominant Digimon is the reverse.
Are you just trying to sell your headcanon?
It's not like he could keep a gigantic dinossaur around. But he was still based.
I'm genuinely not surprised what some people will go through to make it look like their idolized pairing had a thing going on. Even if it's in a form of image distortion, it's still pretty low.
Anon, V-mon does evolve to Paildramon with or without Stingmon. It's been his official line for years. Stingmon has also gotten his own lline now as well whick end at Gran(dis)Kuwagamon.
But what if the Alternate Timeline theory turns out to be true?
I thought it was silly at first, but remember how they made a big deal about the VA's changing? That always felt strange to me, since japan is usually so adamant about keeping seiiyus the same unless they die. Especially for iconic roles.
But it would make sense if these aren't *really* the original Chosen Children wouldn't it? At least the ones we grew up with.
Which one has aged the best do you think, /a/?
Man you have no idea, you weren't around in the time of the original shipping wars were you?
Fucking two characters standing next to each other was considered THIS IS PROOF PEOPLE.
Yes, well, according to those, XV-mon can evolve into MetalGreymon as well.
Regardless of what their possible evolutions are, and I'd like to remind you that Stingmon is capable of evolving into Paildramon on its own in certain instances as well, just the same as XV-mon, that does not, in any way, make Gran- or GrandisKuwagamon Imperialdramon's equivalent.
Is this some kind of trick question?
Incidentally, anon, GranKuwagamon is HerakleKabuterimon's equivalent, not Imperialdramon's.
Also, GrandisKuwagamon is an X-Antibody Digimon and not a form change. It's the equivalent to HerakleKabuterimon X-Antibody.
I hope that gatomon evolves to sweet magnadramon, ophanimon is complete humanoid trash.
Unquestionably Sora. In fact, I'd even go as far to say that she has looked good in any of the art style changes that she's been featured in.
I will admit, I AM fond of Holydramon. Plus, having a large fuzzy dragon around would go well with the smaller humanoid one we have. Plus if I'm being honest, I think Holydramon does suit Hikari better than Ofanimon. For starters, it's pink, just like her Crest.
yo shit nigga it's rosemon
the other kids are going to get megas too?
I'm not terribly fond of Rosemon, though. Don't really care for the tights. But I suppose there's no other alternative, so what can one do?
I actually prefer Plesiomon too, but it's probably completely useless outside of water.
>tfw you wish tri was made by Hosoda-sama
>tfw it's almost the opposite of adventure and bokura no wargame
Seraphimon and Ophanimon may be cool, but I always disliked the fact that Takeru and Hikari's megas where such important characters in the "lore" because it creates so many problems.
If Hikari gets Magnadramon then I'd like for Takeru to get a different mega as well, no idea what it could be though.
Really the only one in Gomamon's line that look like they won't be completely useless out of water is Zudomon in that case. Gomamon, Ikkakumon and Plesiomon all looked like water creatures, or someone who is not going very much inland.
I wanted a good naval battle, but it's probably not happening.
Holydramon actually has a rather high standing among Digimon. It's a member of the Four Great Dragons, equivalent to the likes of Qinglongmon and Megidramon. Honestly, it almost sounds more impressive than the Three Great Angels considering how little they can be counted on in most cases.
Fucking bolero man, I want it so badly
>I'd like for Takeru to get a different mega as well, no idea what it could be though
Could be one of these. SlashAngemon, Dominimon and ClavisAngemon does look like a fitting 'continuation' of Angemon's theme.
Why would you hate him when he's so full of love?
Because unfortunately, the Four Great Dragons aren't very prominent despite how powerful they supposedly are. It's a bit like how underplayed the Olympos XII are.
I wouldn't count on Dominimon. I doubt Bamco even remember it exists, much like most Digimon from V-Tamer.
Nah, unless we're talking ophanimon falldown mode.
Remember that massive, 2-episodes long orgy scene between Taiki and all his Digimon team members, including Zenjirou and that other girl?
Well apparently the dub removes that! What a Big Brother Government we live in.
Anon, episode 21 looked nice, but it didn't actually have any particularly impressive animation.
The best thing about tri is the actual movement, something that most shows in the franchise are considerably lacking in.
Matt might be worse than Yamato but they're still both belligerent cunts.
>believing what a tree has to say in pursuit of finding oneself
>not giving a crap about taichi when he gets sucked into a portal and goes missing
>acting all emotionally superior when taichi thinks it better to keep going than grieving about 1's and 0's dying
>treating takeru like a nuisance and generally being a bad brother
>leaving the group when they needed him the most
>gets hostile to jou for no reason when he a gets a little nudge from a digimon he's never seen before despite the fact jou telling him its alright if he wants to get his little brother first
Hosada's not known for animation quality. He's known for his direction.
I'd like to remind you that the majority of episode 21 consisted of still frames, repeated small animations and deceptive shots that existed for the specific purpose of requiring as little animation as humanly possible.
>ophanimon is complete humanoid trash.
Spoken like a true furry, please stop breathing.
Ophanimon is easily the superior choice and the actually popular one, Magnadramon is a nobody and is never going to appear again.
>Nobody watches it for the animation quality unless Hosada's involved
Only the original movie truly shines for its animation.
True. Let's go back to shipping.
I really think people thinking Meiko will get with Taichi seems too optimistic. I can sort of see the possibility that the two will get closer, but all in all I'm not seeing an actual relationship being set up during the course of tri.
I'm concerned in how they're going to resolve Kou's crush. It by no way affects his character by any measurable results as of Movie 1.
>Let's go back to shipping
Hahaha, get on with times, humanoid digmon has literally taken over, pretty much anything Bandai has released in the past 5 years that got any buzz were digimon waifus.
Anyone seriously thinking Magnadramon will be Hikari's Gatomon Mega in Tri might as well time their suicides for the scheduled date.
