So I ordered a manga volume from Amazon. When it arrived, it was damaged. The pages were wavy and warped, and the cover was warped too and the top right corner at the spine was fucked. I called Amazon and they're sending a replacement, all I have to do is send them back the old one.

I told them it looked like water damage because that's the way it arrived, and it was cold and felt damp when I opened it, so that's what I assumed and told Amazon right away. However, the more I look at it, the more I think it could have been blunt damage as well. Keep in mind that I keep all my things in fantastic condition and don't really know how to immediately tell what damage is what because I don't have much experience with damaged books.

Basically, my question is whether or not I can get in trouble with Amazon because it looks like blunt damage attributed with/ijstead of water damage. I mean, the damage still matches tye description I told them, but I'm just worried because I don't order much from Amazon and I'm not familiar with all their policies.

Do the accessories first. Cover all in a coat of primer and see how paint looks on it. It might need more than one coat. If using brushes, thin the paint unless you want it thick and solid.

For the tank, unscrew the bottom to disassemble the top and bottom halves, remove the treads by sliding them off and cover the tank in primer, then cover in German Grey. Then apply the painted accessories and decals.

To any anons with painting experience: how difficult would this be to make look good? Being that it's an animal and doesn't have a set color scheme I figure it would be easier than painting something like an established character which requires exact details. I can tell you it isn't the thing I quoted.

Getting something that big to look good is going to be tough, but if you just want it to have that brand-new but painted look, I'd consider an airbrush, but maybe you have some sweet handpainting skills. If you want it to look nice, I'd at least recommend popping your head around some military modelling forums or sites to at least get the basics.

As cool as it would be to have that to go with other 1/12 things, it's kinda hard to justify the price versus the apparent model detail/quality.
