Based /a/nons can translate new episodes faster than Daiz can spell HEVC. Get subs in the previous thread.
Seems like Hyggs shot from the next Gauna will damage not only Tsumugi.
Only has 50-72 at the moment though, you'll have to find the rest elsewhere.
Daiz can't do the first two episodes because of his translator being away or something.
Thanks for subbing it Anons.
Can't help you, sorry - I've read mine online at the time.
Confirmed there's links in the archive. Time to back them up myself.
I don't think this will ever stop being scary as shit.
You will never violate Izana. Ever.
OH KNIGHTS-KNIGHTS-KNIGHTS OF SIDONIA-A-A
Bullied at her first day of school.
Alright, but Nagate has already taken her
His recent art style itself is very like Hayao's one.
Izana makes the best faces.
top fucking kek.
I don't remember this line from the manga.
I want to put my
sharpiein Izana's nostril
You idiot, it's clearly a Muv-Luv ripoff.
Probably the same as other models. Just add the tail and more details on the outer layers.
Also, they only have to do it once and then reuse the model over and over so that won't cost much in the big picture.
It obviously ripped off Gunbuster.
They wanted a fucking escape pod ready so they could NOPE out if things went too far south. That's the level of commitment to humanity we're talking. I'm not calling the Captain some perfect leader but she did kind of have a point.
Honestly, they're better than the Underwater release. No gardes, no longswords, no 40k. They just lack a little of the fancy typesetting but I can live with that.
>I am afraid of something
>I know, I'll mask this fear of mine by aggravating the thing that I fear
That's exactly what a giant pussy would do.
Less pussy actions would be not fearing it in the first place, trying to kill it rather than annoy it, or simply accepting the fear without trying to act tough.
Not even a tsumufag but how would mana exchange go with her?
I'm kind of curious.
Star Wars was alway science fantasy. George Lucas actually tried to make it more science fiction by using midichlorians bullshit but failed miserably because the actual movies were complete shit.
Theoretically, the Captain was their representative and given some autonomy while they made the 'real' decisions behind the scenes. What had happened was that they'd become more worried about extending their own immortal existences further than what was best for Sidonia and humanity. It wasn't a question of the secondary brain you filthy secondary, it was a preemptive strike to make sure that they didn't try and dethrone her once she started messing with stuff like more Chimeras.
Maybe they used "guardian" and changed to garde in their batch, because I'd remember if it was garde as that was what I watched when it was airing and I hadn't even read the manga before. I just checked it and Netflix also uses garde.
I think it's better than guardian, as 衛人 isn't really a real word.
Netflix and the official manga use Garde but it's dumb for reasons that we've argued about for a year at this point. The Underwater release I have predates the batch, they never used 'guardian' as far as I'm aware.
Underwater is doing Sidonia, we're just starting late because the translator is in Japan right now. He'll be back next week, and we should hopefully be all caught up before episode 4 airs.
>we should hopefully be all caught up before episode 4 airs.
Manga. The anime skips a lot of really cool fights, and whole generations of new Guardian Frame.
Also, while it's still possible that it could happen in upcoming episodes, there's a character who should ALREADY HAVE ROBOT LIMBS BY NOW, and they don't.
Thanks guys. I'm gonna read the manga. It's sort of hard to tell what's happening sometimes though. Does it get easier to understand what's happening as time goes on? I'm only on chapter 4
I like to stick with one medium for a series unless I'm really bored. So I'll probably just read the manga and not touch the anime
Nihei's art style gets a lot more delicate looking and detailed as the series goes on, the battle scenes feel easier to follow too.
It's pretty interesting comparing how volume 1 and the most recent volume look.
Or they could just, you know, watch S1. It's just 12 episodes running for 24 minutes each, and if you skip the OP & ED after the first time (which take up 3 minutes per episode) that comes out to a total of mere 4 hours 15 minutes or so.
I'm fucking confused. What happened to Kanata? I mean why did he went nuts?
Is Tsugumi a secret for Sidonia's citizens or not? Tanikaze and Izana tried to hide her early on, but then they just stopped caring. Or were they just trying to hide her presence in their house? I think there was something along the line about the information accessible only to the high-ranking people.
Cabin Fever and a larger scale
Tsumugi is public knowledge to the common crew of Sidonia. Tanikaze and Izana are trying to hide the fact that they're moving her through the vents to hand out with them. The information only available to high-ranking crew are the details of her abilities/creation. Her existence is not a secret.
Literally, best girl.
Will Izana lose her limbs in this scene? The Ocarina fight should be taking place in the next episode.
Why is she so perfect?
Kunato "Literally everything that has gone wrong is my fault" Norio has to die a hero's death first.
He doesn't deserve a hero's death, but you know it's going to happen.
Also they have to finish making her into some kind of mini-chimera, from the looks of things.
It's the only place I can think of that they could do it now without seriously compromising Izana's competency as a pilot. As it stands, they've already severely underdeveloped anime Izana and sabotaged the weight of her getting crippled.
It didn't occur to me when I was reading the manga but is the implication that the local Gauna have only been able to develop their tactics and countermeasures as fast as they have is because they have Benisuzume with them?
Remember how they offered to treat Izana's limbs with organic limb regrowth but Yure convinced her to ask for this? I think they're doing it to her everything. I'm finding it a little hard to swallow to be honest.
The Gauna are only semi-sentient, they are capable of proactive tactics like changing up their forms after each attack, or rapidly adapting to situations, but they don't seem capable of long term planning.
The coloration causes my physical pain.
Instead of pastel pink they should have used something closer to flesh tone, with the undersides of her arms and other exposed "muscular" looking areas being dark red.
Harder, armor-like parts like her protective helmet and the jointed parts of her mouth should have been closer to bone color, along with the pieces of husk on her left arm, and the spines growing out of her neck.
As is, she doesn't really look organic to me at all, the modeling is very nice, but the coloring is a bit of a letdown.
Their main goal is just seeking their primary source of nutrients, which seem to be hyggs particle fields.
If Sidonia was using some form of chemical propellant, or other thrust systems not dependent on concentrated Hyggs particles, the Gauna wouldn't be drawn to them at all unless they presented a direct threat.
My theory is that Gauna are on the same sentience level as human infants, capable of understanding basic things like pain and pleasure, food, threats, and other simple concepts, and acting in a manner that fits their best interest, but nothing much beyond that.
We already had that. Since this is a homage to Solaris anyways, Nihei is going to go for the 'Is it still you even if you are a copy?', specially after they slipped that a perfect gauna copy should be able to retain the same ego.
>wanting best girl to ""win""
>aka getting banged by some random self-insert bland character
Are you that much of a cuck?
> tfw you will never be embraced by Tsumugi's tentacles
Stop reminding us of our earthly sufferings
Eh, could have been worse i guess.
The underlying theme of it, Biomega and Blame is really what makes me think. Advancing more and more in order to survive, to the point where the term "human" is not applicable anymore. Becoming what you fight.
Ordinary XXI century man wouldn't survive a minute in the megastructure. Then again, how well would cavemen fare in our world?
Transhumanism is one of Nihei's hallmarks, however extreme the "trans" part goes.
But he never let's go of the human part in the story either, interestingly enough.
I could never figure out whether he likes humanity or he hates it.
I'm surprised they lasted that long, Should have happened to them in the first season.
Ochiai can spout all the bullshit he likes about how the Gauna are so much better than humans and humans should totally be more like Gauna and why do the Gauna want to imitate lowly humans, but isn't he missing the fact that the Gauna seem to have about as much intelligence as a hungry dog?
Voted to impeach somebody and were promptly eliminated by that very person. They literally didn't have the power to enforce anything. I wonder if Kobayashi kept them alive and let them "rule" to tickle their fancy.
To be fair, the Gauna are exceedingly durable and resilient organisms capable of rapidly reshaping and improving their structure for a wide variety of tasks.
When you combine that with a humans capacity for intelligent thought and you do have an inherently superior organism.
They did the movement pretty well.
The other Gauna creatures are pretty well animated too.
Doppleganger Hoshi is pure sex.
Tsumugi has already done horrible, horrible things to my sexual preferences and this anime isn't helping at all.
She's what you would get if you covered Dragonslayer Ornstein in ham.
What makes her so beautiful? Is it her deep lovely eyes? Is it the "dress"? Is it the funny shaped heda? WHAT IS IT?
Does Nagate understand how Kunato made Tsumugi? I mean, one day Kunato comes and steals his placentafu from the laboratory and a short while after Kunato announces that he has succesfully created a human-gauna hybrid that happens to have Hoshijiro's voice.
Izana has suffering down to an art form.
It could be the slim, feminine waist. Or the lovely voice. Or perhaps her adorable personality.
Only a 15 meter size difference, anon. Only 15 meters.
Size is no barrier to love in the Niheiverse.
I really liked them together. Space alien princess and her knight.
As cheesy as it is, it seems it's a recurring theme in Nihei's works. Seu & Mensab in Blame and similar pair in Biomega, after the infamous timeskip.
>there is new Tsumugi fanart on Pixiv again
I hope this keeps up for the rest of the season.
Presumably because there are most costs involved, more technological hurdles to jump over before a 1/144 kit could look good, and they'd have to have enough popularity to be sold by the numbers to provide them cheap.
1/100s and Figmas would have to do.
1/144 Tsugumori, Tsugumori Mk-II, Type-18, Beni never.
Yuhata is such as /m/.
>Type-5 Guardian kit
Kotobukiya, where the fuck are you when we need you
You will never fuck Izana senseless that she has troubles walking and navigating afterwards. Ever.
>filter tube out
Well time to ask the obvious question /a/.
Would you drink Hoshijiro's pee?
Why limit yourself to Hoshijiro when there's a whole lineup available?
they look more like smallish sweater-puppies if you ask me
Have we passed the point where Samari makes a move on Nagate?
Because Hoshijiro's has extra lewd significance.
His nose just isn't big enough to satisfy the Mistress of Firing.
So do you think she put in a few rounds with not Ochiai?
What do you think her mask smells like? I mean she wears it quite a but so I'm sure there is some dead skin and sweat and greasy residue. It probably has a sort of sour scent and taste.
How many Tanikaze One moments will we get this season?
Come on Nihei, we know you're busy as shit, but we want more stuff.
>Being this much of an elitist asshole
Do you actually derive a sense of personal satisfaction from being able to find manga online better than a noob? You should try learning a foreign language or taking up an instrument.
>asshole switched out for dick
Holy shit, aren't you desperate
Are you actually that inept that you need people to do something as basic as googling for you? Do you also know how annoying it is to constantly have people just spam posts or start threads just to ask basic shit like that? It's 2015 and internet have been so common place, yet there are still people who needs people to hold their hands for simple crap like that. I can't believe you still have the cheek to compare something basic like that with learning a language or playing an instrument.
There is no 'personal satisfaction', just frustration and exasperation that even though technology has been making things so much easier for you, you still find some ways to expect more.
Please, stop, this isn't a 1P thread.
Most people on the board eventually learn to find things on their own, it just takes time, and actually caring enough to put in a little effort.
Why do you insist on derailing threads just because you haven't yet?
Is anyone disappointed there isn't any creepy or off-putting component in smoogy's voice?
>Is anyone disappointed there isn't any creepy or off-putting component in smoogy's voice?
For a giant penis monster who sounds like Hoshijiro and has a mannerism of a very obedient 8-years-old girl, that sounds about right.
Although that's true, it often comes off as more like "fuck off I hate noobs who like what I like."
The answer, as always, is to lurk.
I don't think we'll ever know what a pre-metamorphosis third gender looks like in their pants, but it'd be interesting to know.
That feeling when more competitors in the Nagate bowl.
And let's be honest here, the other nematode brains beside himself aren't very intelligent. One is a compulsive giggler and the other one is like a walking zombie. There's no point using the nematode if the change in personality would be noticed immediately.
I want to make love to her.
There was never supposed to be a S3. The "complete BD collection" only has 12 volumes (6 for each season).
I've actually begun getting used to the OP.
And you know what's even scarier?
I'm getting used to the ED.
