Give me your crabs, anon
Monkeyfags need not apply.
This is a crab thread.
All forms of Crab are love anon.
They're all gorgeous.
I do love her eyes.
>your girlfriend's lesbian stalker will never become your best bro
Way to ruin your own thread by posting ugly short haired crabs.
>implying top-tier waifu does not remain qt as fuk
Where are your eyes?
That's a funny way to spell "improve".
If you would call yourself a crabfag then you would see that all forms of crab are perfection.
this scene was cute but also kinda weird at the same time, it felt like it was missing something.
>She will never call you koyokoyo.
Why even live?
I think it was because she wasn't being her usual firey self, but I liked the change
And I mean, come on
That adorable cheer tho
It was an over-the-top switch. Gahara is just trying way too hard and watching her was vaguely nauseating. She needed to stop being quite so abrasive, but this is just too much.
She lost a lot of her smugness when she cut it too. That was one of the best things about her.
831 crabs and other gataris here.
>I would take a monkey bro over a crabgf any day.
Why not both?
I'm curious to see what happens with her I mean she still has a chance
Also is the next arch in production or is what's left supposed to be Kizu? I haven't done my research in a while
Crab's okay. Posting real best girl though.
Where all the snailfags at?
Nisio lampshaded this by having Kaiki say this exact same stuff in koi.
He knows well rounded characters are less interesting than messed up versions but it's necessary to have actual character growth.
Kizu is in production but has been delayed for more than 3 years. Monogatari literally prints money, and shaft said they would finish the LNs, so we can assume it's in production but there's no official word yet.
He also has Ougi say it in the one Koi commentary that got translated. Tsukihi is a, by Nisio's definition, a well-rounded character and she still manages to be interesting in the way that she is very upfront about her desires.
Shinbo is a god among directors and blessed Monogatari with brilliant direction. This scene is narrated from the point of view of Cat instead of Arararagi, so Crab's usually perceived grace and poise is replaced with awkward posturing.
I think this development showed exactly how comfortable she really is with Araragi now
I like the fact that she can be firey and cute, and I'm sure her intensity will come back in the future
She's still a dominant character, if she lost her dominance then I'd be pretty pissed
Can you feel her, anon-kun? Can you feel her hot vampire love inside your shadow?
This doesn't make them any less frustrating to watch at the moment. They've somehow managed to get whipped simultaneously. I can get into stupid, diabetes-inducing romances, but watching Araragi and Senjougahara working so hard not to offend each other that they've forgotten to be themselves is infuriating.
Snailposters in short supply today.
She'll show you her panties if you love her!
>working so hard no to offend each other
so basically any relationship
You can manage not to be an ass to someone you like without turning into a simpering faggot. In fact, having to put on that sort of mask in order to interact with someone is going to hurt a relationship in the long term.
>but watching Araragi and Senjougahara working so hard not to offend each other that they've forgotten to be themselves is infuriating.
So you're getting this from a short scene between them during Valentine's day?
I feel like she already went through her big struggle and that she deserves to live a normal life now.
She still has that spice to her personality and is far from boring to me at least.
Fifth grade anon.
She is very puffy though.
It's from a cut version of that ep. Or that's what the internet told me at least.
Body of a child, vulva of an adult.
>there are people who actually think Crab, Phoenix, Bee and Monkey look better with short hair
She has fallen into the same trap as old Hanekawa. She has personality, but she keeps it hidden under a mask when she's around Araragi. It's just makes her uninteresting when she should be interesting and it makes me not like her because that's the sort of bullshit I can't stand in real people.
Bat a second best.
other girls and cat and snake shitting it up in last.
So she has to stop being a normal girl and enjoy her life that way because thats just boring
>There are people who do not appreciate all forms of best girl
>monkeyfags being obnoxious and vocal.
As per usual
Polite "go away". We never get any threads.
>not appreciating short hair
>not appreciating short hair monkey
ur a fagget
Every fucking thread.
Medium length still counts as short in anime world where long goes past the ass.
Short monkey is also cute.
I guess it's minorities being envious of the majorities, and reacting to that by being obnoxious instead of understanding that we all get along very well if they weren't assing left and right.
She cut her hair when she got played-out. Monogatari is still fine. Better characters have stepped-up to fill the gap. Stop being bitter because you're waifu isn't relevant any more.
Not the same guy, but...
>Not thinking teasing is cute as fuck
To each his own.
You still have shit taste though.
The anime didn't really do justice to why Crab changed. In the show, there's three lines where she mentions she wants to cut her hair to move on with her life, like Hanekawa did. Then boom, she's all cheery in second season.
In the LNs, there's an entire chapter devoted to Araragi's explanation of her personality shift and how he feels about it. He explains how through the pair's confrontation with Kaiki, she was able to properly let go of her past. Senjougahara put up all those mental barriers because of what Kaiki did to her and her family, and their confrontation was a way for her to prove to both Kaiki and herself that her past didn't break her. Araragi recognizes that he was the catalyst in this; even before their confrontation with Kaiki, Senjougahara was slowly becoming more comfortable with herself around Araragi, and she wouldn't have wanted to come to peace with her past at all if she wasn't dating him. He goes on to say how he really prefers the "new" Senjougahara.
The anime also doesn't have Araragi and Senjougahara interact directly on screen for the entirety of Season 2 + Hana. We don't see a single hint of their relationship from the end of Bake to the end of Tsuki. What even.
I like what the author did to Crab, in theory. But we don't know how much depth she actually has as a character now because she's had so little screen time since her change. She seemed pretty interesting in how she balanced her old sarcastic and cold personality with her new loving side when she met Kaiki at the airport, but that's one scene out of like 10 story arcs. Right now, she is a shit character because all we've been shown makes it seem like she got neutered to make her cuter.
>Stop being bitter because you're waifu isn't relevant any more.
Gahara aside, it might just be that it didn't quite take the direction I thought it would take and I am butthurt over that fact.
Great. Now there are normalfags shitting up the thread too.
Go away, scum: >>>/out/
Are you sure you have been dating girls?
That's exactly the kind of car a man who is based drives.
I wholly agree with this.
The LN's shed a lot more light onto the story and add context and things you would miss with anime only. Even more so, if you can read moon.
>the key to a successful relationship is putting on an act whenever you're around the other person
>that won't backfire at all
You don't have to put on an act.
The other person makes you so happy you genuinely act like that without even thinking about it.
>>the key to a successful relationship is putting on an act whenever you're around the other person
Not him, but the need to put an act is a major reason why I've never had relationships.
Kizu is fan translated. Not sure where you would find them though.
Official translations coming in November because Vertical licensed the series.
>implying hitagi is putting on an act and not acting like she truly was before her crab problem.
How much of a faggot do you have to be to not understand that her whole personality during Bake was an act. Now she's finally comfortable with herself.
Truer words have never been spoken.
You're a moron if you believe that she didn't genuinely enjoy shit-talking Araragi. I'm sure she enjoys being sappy, but she's definitely suppressing the part of herself that was dominant before. She hasn't found a balance.
Every time a girl has started dressing like/pretending to be another girl, they always end up having lesbian sex. So, seeing as Crab has already gotten to at least second base with Cat, I'm assuming it's only a matter of time before she completely breaks down and forces Cat to sit on her face.
Also Araragi needs to be there.
Just after giving Shinobu blood, so he can brutally dick them both into stupidity while they suck each others faces.
Doujin as soon as I have free time.
yo can you guys stop shitting up this thread by responding to that autist
Daily reminder that Crab has a manjaw.
Everything about this exept the face is not "well drawn" I think you need to look a little more this piece of shit to understand that it's not well drawn and look like someone with no talent just fucking copypasta Hitagi's eyes on a shitty drawing like this.
we can all agree that snake is a shit.
Daily reminder that shaft animation is incredibly inconsistent.
>say Snake is best girl
I don't understand.
Not entirely, the other poster was right about Nisio not adequately giving Hitagi's problems more focus, because of her status as being "strong".
She talked to Araragi about still blaming herself about her mother leaving the family, and even though Shaft cut this out, she confided with Hanekawa during Tsubasa Tiger. She STILL blames herself for that incident with the cult.
Also, in Koi, Kaiki all but framed the exact problem the couple is facing, but one that Nisio tiptoed around. Hitagi still doesn't value herself except for how Araragi values her, and that is a problem. Not being able to just tell your boyfriend not to kill himself at every opportunity because you are afraid of the consequences shows a real issue in a relationship that needs to be addressed.
Yeah, but not to his face, which is where the fun happens. Literally all I've ever wanted from Senjougahara as a character is for her to do her abrasive teasing like in Bake and Nise, but occasionally laugh or smile so as to indicate that she is doing it for fun so that Araragi might do some of his own. That way there would be more of a dynamic and it wouldn't be so awkward.
Both of Snake's forms are lovable, anon.
I want to turn best into a knife and kill you all with it.
You just described how she is after she went dere.
This is the epilogue of Nise. Worth a read.
Yes, but no one reads nip let alone the LN's so we get all these anime-only fans that create their opinions from an incomplete source.
I love all crab-fags but there is a lot of misinformation amongst our ranks.
I would consider it as a possibility.
When i saw that toothbrush scene in nise, that shit was messed up
I was diamonds after that scene man.
Why is Kiss-shot so popular even though Kizu hasn't been animated yet? Where does all the love for her comes from? She has far more fanart than a lot of characters who have been around for much longer.
Someone needs tell them niggas on how to live their lives correctly
You havent read Kizu, thats why you cant understand
a) her regular personality before neko shiro is shown to be pretty bland
b) nekomonogatari was basically retelling tsubasa cat in a lot of parts and most importantly
c) people haven't read kizu
Going by that logic, why doesn't Ougi have more fanart?
I was talking about Owari.
How exactly is she boring? She gives great advice, has good jokes, and in Kizu and Tiger she was pretty awesome. I was sad how they cut out the part in Family where Hanekawa scarily saw through Araragi's tsundere with the cheek healing. The anime took away some of the imposing presence and wit. Glad that stuff was in the commentaries. It's sad that the anime only part of the fandom view her as just the shy class prez cliche, when her character is a total deconstruction of it.
And how were her stories that long, Family was one of the shortest, Tiger was one of the most popular, and Cat was shared with another character. The only people who seem to think this are people who hate her anyway.
Tsubasa won't save herself, and she won't let herself be saved, then what can he do?
She's too strong and self-reliant, so when she fucks up, she goes full-on unstoppable psychopath serial killer (well, serial energy drainer). Her mind is so powerful, she can create and bend oddities to her will.
It's said that the great Taoist sages don't die because they close themselves off in perfection, and death can find no crack on them by which it can grip them. Tusbasa is the same in regards to love: she has no human flaws, no weaknesses by which he could come to grips with her. She's never defenseless, and she's always right.
Perfect body, perfect mind, perfect soul.
Some might say the Catfags lack of flashiness is pretty representative of them.
It's not that you like everything but that you just accept things as they are.
Tell me, Catfag.
How do you like your woman? Stacked or Flat?
"likeable" is not enough to describe her. She's best girl. Hands down.
Yet get BTFO by Gaen.
She's admirable, but by no means perfect. The oddities she creates are manifestations of her imperfection and resistance to come to terms with them. She grows and overcomes them, but their initial existence proves her faults.
Were she truly perfect, she would have no interesting contribution to the series. Embrace her flaws and become a next-tier catfag!
>Swell with Tsubasa BTFO.
It's funny just how badly Tsubasa needed Gaen to absolutely destroy her for her to come to the conclusion she needs to get shit done by herself.
I like how they made the point that she seemingly didn't have likes or dislikes, but she has preferred anime characters (Hitagi likes Greed and Tsubasa likes Kimblee from FMA, it's pretty interesting how they both prefer villains) and was capable of shit talking Araragi for hours with his girlfriend for instance.
Tsubasa and Hitagi just have this strange closeness, and these things I hear about dumping Araragi for lunch dates together...I can't help but think the two are experimenting.
>Is she/he even a girl?
Do you care about me handing out a spoiler that is pretty big before I answer that?
She's weighed down by her own insecurities.
>Tsubasa likes Kimblee
Tsubasa has good taste. Kimblee was awesome.
Also Kanbaru mentions that exact thing, that they have their own little world and while she personally isn't comfortable with it, Hanekawa and Senjougahara are so Kanbaru accepts it.
As for the experimenting. I don't have an opinion for or against.
The odd point about that conversation was that Gaen knew that she liked being told that she wasn't special, which some people missed. That was the only thing that almost got her seriously mad, I am surprised no one focused on that part, where Tsubasa ended up saying, "what do you think you know about me?!" and that tense stared own at that end.
I think only Ougi managed to piss her off more.
That line you're referencing is the one directly after this one.
The fact is that she still got BTFO and being told she's shit was part of it.
The fact is that while the entire second half of the conversation -after the "Not even the boy you love can save you" line which basically makes Hanekawa lose her cool for a bit- was pretty much one of the most important conversations Hanekawa ever had.
Okay then, read it at your own risk
The Ougi which wears boy's clothes in the anime and looks more masculine overall is actually a different person than the one which appears for most of the time. He is an oddity created by Kanbaru. The female version is an oddity created by Araragi's own conflicted emotions. At the end of Owari he speculates how it would make sense for Kanbaru to have her own personal Ougi appear to her.
>When I went to buy a new cell phone, all I saw were smartphones
>They're almost twice as broad as a normal cell phone and bulky too
>It's hard to put them in your pocket and both the front and back are large and seem to fracture easily
>Don't even think the protective covers do any good
>I miss my old phone
>go to buy some donuts for breakfast
>sweet 100 yen sale
>get my donuts and begin to slowly savor the delicious flavor
>suddenly this fucking brate I hate walks in with a loli
>they but a bunch of donuts and sit right by me
>try not to get noticed
>the loli points at me while saying something
>that asshole turns around and spits coffee right in my face
Being Kaiki is suffering.
I just don't find anything about her interesting. Which, in turn leads to a "not this shit again" moment anytime she's the focus.
She's a Mary sue and I feel like the story would be better off without her in it at all.
>fall in love with someone because they're nice to you
>too insecure to make any direct moves, keep giving subtle signals
>get rejected hard
>conflicting emotions of hatred and love
>ignore the fact that even if you got together it wouldn't be the same person you fell in love with
>still would rather see them dead than with someone else
it worries me that I relate to all this
how can you possibly think this?
Using what criteria?
I guess you could call it getting BTFO, but I remembered the last part of Neko Black and things just got murky. Part of it I think, is that Araragi told her during Golden Week to keep the facade and not change, and her last line after their confrontation of his "we'll be like this all our lives" to her unconscious answer of "there is no way that's right" showed she already knew her situation was wrong internally.
Plus the anime didn't show Tsubasa Song, which showed she was making an effort to manage her stress and emotions. It's why I think the anime framed the issue wrongly imho. The part about Araragi FINALLY saying it was okay for her to be who she really was at the end of Tiger just isn't as poignant without that context. Her asking him if it was okay doesn't have that emotional punch otherwise. For that matter he was kind of an asshole to say that it was a dumb question when he himself told her it wasn't okay before.
So, I think she really was cornered in life to try to belong and that was why she adopted the facade for so long of being "perfect", the anime neglected to show her monologue about the friends who abandoned her when she confided in them about her family. Embracing her emotions was one thing, but when we get right down to it, she was told to just suck it up cold turkey. Her parents got off scot-free as well, no one thought to report them for neglect.
I dunno, while I agree with Tsubasa taking responsibility for herself, the story kind of just says there was no real cure for her problem no matter what self-actualization she attained, which was to be accepted and have a family. Oshino pinning the blame squarely on her and forgetting the parents part was a little much as well. It put everything on her shoulders and gave her a long lonely road at the end of it.
Seriously? I don't think that fits her at all.
To be fair, Araragi back in Neko/Kizu was a bit of a dumb fuck.
He was in a bad place as much as Hanekawa was and he just like Hanekawa basically were going about living their lives wrong.
Oshino tried to change Araragi for the better and it sorta worked but not while he was around, Araragi only really changed once Oshino left.
Hanekawa was given an unnecessary burden from a high school idiot. which was only corrected in Neko White at which point everything got better.
Hanekawa's parents should have by all rights been punished for their actions but they weren't. Hanekawa barely punished them as Black Hanekawa and until Neko White, she just didn't want to rock the boat.
Even afterwards she didn't really want to cause too much hassle even asking for something as basic as a room.
Oshino taking the parent's side is incorrect as well. He was just pointing out their point of view, as he does with everything else.
Hell no, if anything she's complex as fuck. She's just giving other the impression that she's incapable of fucking them over
teasing isn't the same as being a slut, otherwise monkey would be a massive whore
>a total shit
a total buzzword
She should leave the cosplaying to Shinobu only.
Because then he doesn't end up having to buy a phone and getting kicked out of town by Senjouga and Araragi, fucking his business plan.
Though he really should have known better, not for the whole Senjou/Araragi thing but because he's in Gaen's town and he really should know to keep the fuck away from anything Gaen-related.
Of course, she was trying to emulate her master, pictured here.
Next thing will be dual colored highlights.
We all know why people emulate her, they found Basa-nee's braids and underwear still locked up in Araragi's Hanekawa shrine in his room.
Yes this was what i thought exactly! I couldn't care less about her before Medusa but during that arc she outshone both kaiki and crab, two of my favorite characters. Though maybe that's my fault for liking
Given he doesn't actually like Gaen, I would probably do the wise thing and not hang at her stomping grounds.
In fact Oshino should probably have done the same if it wasn't for the fact Kiss-shot was in town.
He might not like her, but they don't necessarily hate each other. Neither Oshino nor Kaiki had any reason to fear what Gaen might do, and Gaen never actually feared them fucking anything up.
I dunno, man. Kaiki in the end when he came back did sorta fuck up though.
Even though Gaen expected him to continue on once she gave him the money to leave, her point about the area being stable because Nadeko was in the shrine was truth and if he did leave it be, she would have been fine with that option.
Though in that situation, it's basically a no-loss situation for Gaen so it's fine.
Still, he got kicked out of town. He can no longer check up on Kanbaru. He done fucked up.
Reminder that monogatari openings are whack
I feel like Gaen honestly did have a unspoken preference towards Kaiki finishing the job. She knew her warning would just fuel Kaiki deceive medusa, and funded his mission under the guise of a way for him to leave.
Gaen probably didn't care THAT much, but would rather RRRR, Hitagi, and Shinobu not die.
The whole scamming thing is a dindunuffin situation. He was selling fake curses, so people were trying to hurt other people and he was tricking them into not. Kaiki probably saved lives/relationships.
I think her becoming Medusa is what cemented her as an interesting character
Do you even watch the show?
After Bake, crab gets a background role at best with only a few fleeting scenes focusing on her.
I respectfully disagree.
She played a very minor role in Nise and Hitagi end is the only real screen time she gets in SS.
She had plenty of screen time in neko shiro.
And in nise she played about as big a part as any who appeared in it, more than bird and snail.
You seem to expect her to have a leading role.
>You seem to expect her to have a leading role.
As the love interest of the main character I don't see how this is an unrealistic expectation.
The story is always about people having problems. Obviously they still have problems like her lack of self-confidence but that's not immediate enough to be an interesting story.
The parts of Koimonogatari with Hitagi are meant to show what her relationship with Araragi is like among other things, but real shit is going down with Nadeko and so that's the narrative focus.
>You obviously don't know the main character then.
>If he can't focus his attention why should the story?
I see that you are an anime-only fan.
and on the sixth day the lord created Bird
and he knew it was best girl so he took a day off afterwards
I'm honestly just salty that Cat gets so much focus in comparison to crab. She just gets sidelined so hard.
I'm hoping that Nisio does one last Senjougahara arc before the end of the series. Maybe even one where
she kills Gaen
I was wondering where the bird-fags were.
>Implying rrrg is not alpha af
does it matter where we are?
We are right even if we don't show up to point out an universal truth.
He looks better in the character art. Why are shaft so inconsistent?
Araragi short and Senjougahara long is the balance we need
Yes, but answer my question now.
You can always read the spoiler if you are still in doubt about that: >>122945700
Who is the most adorable monogatari and why is it Shinobu?
It's not though.
Am I the only one who instantly guessed they weren't the same even without reading the LN's? I mean, the different in their appearance is pretty obvious. The boy one doesn't have tits for example.
How do you know that it doesn't just choose to present itself differently to different people?
You can't just do that anon, you can't just divorce an anime character from her VA.
And monkey is still a cute regardless.
What does Gahara-sama's pussy smell like?
I didn't say she would be as cute without Sawashiro, I said she would still be a cute.
But is it though?
You aren't searching hard enough.
I'd take some screencaps myself if I didn't delete everything for more HD space.
What? What the fuck am I posting then?
Also, official figure here. You can clearly see some tittays.
