This show reminds me of FLCL. It's fucking awesome. Why aren't we talking about this more often?
And everything was right with the world.
Because the show is is made up of two episode arcs where the first episode is boring and weird and the second episode is exciting and intense. I'd like to say the show is good, but really I'd have to say it's only half-good.
It's good, but it's not delivering on the promise it showed in the first two episodes. Kyoto storyline shows it might be capable of slowly climbing back up there, though.
Also, the lesbians were adorable.
Even if you want to dispute that Shirobako somehow doesn't count, which I think is pretty dumb, there are still several shows I'd consider better than Rolling Girls at this point in time.
If you mean Geisha and Rock Chick, Geisha thought Rock Chick forgot all about her after she got famous so she tried to block her out of her life and take her lucky charm.
Shirobako is considered last season since it premiered last season.
Did anyone else notice this?
Just wondering. Maybe it's means something, I don't know.
We have 400+ post threads every time it airs with more unique visitors than any other show.
We don't constantly make threads about it because that's dumb for a show like this. Pay attention.
Episodes 1, 2, 8 and 9 were amazing
The rest of the season was pretty meh
Episode 4, 6 and 7 were also great though. But yeah 1, 2 and 8 are definitely the best. 8 was so much hype, absolutely loved it. I wonder what the finale's gonna be like. Shit started escalating fast in episode 9.
You just have to accept it.
If you have no heart.
3-4 Loli Knight's story filled me with rage. Her redemption made me cry.
5-6 TRAIN TRAIN I was practically cheering with tears in my eyes.
7-8 You already know.
>If you mean Geisha and Rock Chick, Geisha thought Rock Chick forgot all about her after she got famous so she tried to block her out of her life and take her lucky charm.
I mean, Hibiki and Nozomi's shitty behavior last episode. Suddenly Nozomi's a coward and Hibiki's selfish as fuck? like, where the hell did that come from?
I found it pretty believable. Ai has seemed a little selfish, and Nozomi has been taking on kinda a leader role. They're pretty opposite, so it makes sense they finally got "fed up", sorta.
To you retards waiting on commie subs:
You're not getting discussion because the rest of us are so hyped for this show, we watch it immediately. You can always check the archives if you want to read all the speculation and interpretation that goes on in those threads. It's ridiculous.
I don't want to watch horriblesubs though.
They're horrible. Do they even have karaoke or translations for the insert songs?
Not karaoke (karaoke is fucking shit anon), but otherwise yes. And they're out immediately after it airs. Literally only good things.
Typesetting makes me depressed too.
I think he was talking about Shirobako.
I guess no one else noticed the reference.
Did people get this reference, at least?
Are all these references really just flying over people's heads?
I think 5-8 have been far better than the first 4 episodes. It seemed as though that was the general consensus as well the last time I was in one of these threads.
I'm really enjoying rolling girls overall, but I've had pretty low expectations throughout.
I've just been getting lucky. I only ask if there are other people noticing because chances are they're noticing the ones I'm missing.
>Implying episode 4 wasn't fucking GOD-tier
I'm trying to find a youtube vid of loli knight destroying her 1:1 figma so you can cry again. Don't try and deny it.
>be 15 year old
>full /a/ tard
>get into college at 15 but drop out anyway because mentally and emotionally not able to cope with college
>be 22 data analyst
>i fucking hate anime now and just hang out on /co/ for waifus
>somewhat happy with my life
/co/ > /a/
I guess I can see what you mean since she had that book with 4 characters that looked pretty damn similar to the 4 mc's.
I just hope she doesn't leave earth :(
Oh boy here we go.
Is there an anime with cute art style, has a bunch of cute girls doing cute fun stuff in a few episodes and then all of sudden BAM they get drugged and gang raped (like almost zero build up whatsoever)
It really does. All the colors, all the hype, all the music, all the comfyness. I wanna sit in front of a tent and play guitar with the Rolling Girls while we drink matcha green tea and eat takoyaki.
I want to pee on her hair.
Does that mean she turns into an Tako when she reaches climax?
Chiaya is adorable. Prime daughteru material, not for bullying.
She is also a
How? They're literally nothing alike
>Realistic, but with a magical twinge
>dark, brooding palettes and full of angst
>Literal watercolor backgrounds, feel good stories
Morons like you are the reason I avoid threads of this show every week. It's a shame, I really like it but the anons involved in these threads are either obnoxious like you or asshats who always have to bring the AOTS meme bullshit that doesn't matter at all in every thread of this and other threads about what /a/ is currently watching.
Cheers, I'm fucking out.
Masami and Kuniko's return. Episode 10
Finished the first episode. It was cool I guess. The niconico videos and /f/ made it seem more fun.
To be 100% honest, if this show didn't have animation as good as it does I probably would have dropped it. The animation quality really carries the show; it's really great to see TV anime getting this kind of love put into it.
you're such a fucking tryhard, anon.
Maybe it'll be a 4-episode arc. On a bigger scale, involving more people than ever before: Shigyou and Masami, the fourth and fifth group from ED scroll that we thought were going to be separate 4th and 5th arc characters, Momiyama and Chiaya's mom, the Black takumi people, etc.
And Yukina's backstory better be included somewhere in there.
>And Yukina's backstory better be included somewhere in there.
True, i want to know more about mai waifu
Didn't she mentioned in one of the episodes that she had older brother?
I think it was neat to have a little development on her with the drawing thing. She seems like she tries really hard to do good, and fails when she does so - but when she doesn't try too hard, she succeeds. Probably the same with her lack of sense of direction.
But yeah, more actual backstory would be neat.
