>hating on piano-based music in the romantic period
Are you fucking retarded? The romantic period was THE period for piano music.
Do you even Classical?
Posted last thread but I made an image of it now. Again, RHP, Stereolab, Can, Destroyer, Spacemen 3, My Bloody Valentine, and Clinic all have albums that could occupy that same space.
Karen is the only one who can occupy the waifu space though.
Name dropping doesn't mean that your taste isn't shit, friend.
Should've listened to Satie and stuck with classicism, the fucking Romantic period gave rise to all sorts of shit music down the path.
Also harpsichord > clavichord > organ > my dick tapping on the floor > piano. Piano is the special snowflake and attention whore of the keyboard family.
Didn't really dig this album, but nice Waifu.
>preferring objectively inferior instruments to the piano
Well you probably have absolutely no education or training in anything god forbid music. So yeah.
There's your problem. Your tastes are so shit that any dissenting opinion wouldn't be even considered.
>No point being made
>Implying one even needs formal training in order to see that Romanticism is shit
Don't have a waifu. But if I did I would probably pick Kagyu Jubei.
Fuck tycho is so good live. Saw them at FYF and had a blast. Then some bitch od'd right next to me
Not sure if I really have a favorite album, but it's close I guess.
I was the bitch who od'd next to you bae
jk but we should've had sex
How are their other albums? Only have By The Throat and it has some good lines but some of the songs are too "political" for lack of a better word
no trip fags and shitposting everywhere. /vp/ is better than there
no. im working on my wizardry
To be honest. Most of /mu/ is exactly the same as some boards. Especially /tv/ where there is a meme they stick on. (Jenny Death/Bane Posting). And then some discussions that they have are really good in the right places though.
Although it is godridden with more trips then most boards.
Though most of the time they talk about buzz shit like every other board.
Yeah, I get what you mean their being "too political." More or less the same reason I can't enjoy RATM as much as I used to.
E&A is pretty top-tier, in my opinion. Some of the songs like Exhausted Love have a lot of relatability for me, and others like Star Destroyer are fun to bump.
By the Throat was where Eyedeas started drifitng a bit in terms of musical consistency, so I can see why a lot of his fans got butthurt with him.
I haven't listened to much of First Born, from what I gather though it follows similar to E&A, though I'd say E&A is the pinnacle.
As always though, I believe Eyedea did way more in freestyle comps than his works. Abilities was always a talented DJ, though.
Not him, but Yanqui UXO is the most divisive album they've ever met, just by virtue of being the black sheep of their studio albums. I personally love the thing to death, it's tied for favorite with LYSF.
Give it a listen, you've got nothing to lose besides a bit of time
honestly if you're on /a/, chances are lost time is not an issue for you.
Not gonna lie, I despise RATM because they're so political and so in your face about it, the music sounds like one big parody of rebelling against "the man".
This is coming from someone who loves GY!BE. When you listen to their music, you draw the parallels and conclusions and it feels less cartoony while still somehow maintaining a political message. This is despite the fact their songs have no fucking lyrics.
>want to make a 3x3 to get recs so i can expand my music
>only have 2 albums i consider 10/10 and only 6 i would consider to be my favorite and not just good
why is finding music on your own so hard
At the moment, it's this. All-time favorite would be
Don't ask for recs on /mu/.
Look into your favorite artists' influences and listen to that, so you can get a better grasp of the genre.
Listening to this for the first time.
Damn, the first song sounds a lot like pic related. I like it.
