here's the webm with sound
This would be a x100 times better if you just had the Oldboy theme playing normally over the top of the footage.
which one's the theme again? i took my favourite (the closing music - Last Walz) and had to cut it and sync it so it ebbs and swells with the action a bit better. i honestly don't think it's worth the effort. and certainly not 100x better...
i think the sped-up sound of the actual movie has a certain charm.
>i honestly don't think it's worth the effort. and certainly not 100x better
It's much better than a bunch of fucking squeaky noises.
No recoil, the slide doesn't go back, there's no spent casing, even the hammer doesn't move for the first shot.
I get the logic, they didn't want to use blanks in such a confined space but not even a shitty cgi attempt?
It's kind of interesting in a morbid way watching old comedies. Something from even just a few years ago will often have elements that seem wildly cruel or inappropriate. Like the dad in this show was written at the time as a kind of clueless, but well meaning good person, but now most of what he did comes across as pretty clearly misogynistic. It honestly looked in that scene like he was threatening his wife with that iron when she disagreed with him and she just can't say anything out of fear, for example. It just doesn't play as light hearted or funny at all.
>It honestly looked in that scene like he was threatening his wife with that iron when she disagreed with him
what kind of person do you even have to be to even think that was what was going on
Hot off the presses.
Just posting here.
Coming right up. It's my favorite film also.
I can't wait to see how they fuck the remake up.
There must be a remake coming. There's a fucking Independence Day sequel (that from the trailer basically looks like "Independence Day Only The Ship's Bigger") and even a goddamn Point Break remake.
You can just tell by the way his faces turns from happy, to still, then his jaw sets and stares at her that he's about to do something terrible. And her face goes from happy, to slowly hopeless. If their son didn't walk in, that third beat in the scene would have been him hitting her. Maybe even biting her, since he looked kind of like that's what he was specifically wanting to do there. But instead, it gets defused into, of course, the wife gives up and he gets his way, as if it ever could have been anything else in this show.
>Thanks cinefix. You might like their channel.
Didn't everyone just get "let go" recently?
And the parent company is going on to make apps.
Could you please post a TRIGGER WARNING on your post for me please. I read the whole thing and I was crying. Talking about domestic abuse makes me very sad and it hurts my feelings. I'm super triggered right now.
Well, shit. They were excellent.
Even their Top 10 lists were above many others.
