They used to have just three tiers back in Gen 4(OU, UU, NU) plus the banlists, now it's too little to contain 802 Pokémon.

1. Smogon are a bunch of lazy assholes now given it has been more than six months with SM launch and barely if any Pokemon have their "smogondex" entries have been updated.
2. They ban shit like Protean Greninja without banning Landorus T, which has centralized a lot of "OU Meta" for YEARS NOW
3. OP point of them probably not unbanning shit like Megas and normal mons who should be unbanned to see how bad they are in Gen 7 in USM launch.

I get it Lando gets bodied in Ubers or something or this counters it blah blah. I have ran stuff like Comp now Adrenaline Orb Milotic but point it is like Mega Kang in VGC when something dominates for that long if not longer time to ban it. The council does it now with everything else or I bet a lot of people would vote to ban the fuck.

Speaking of, while they do not list the spread, PGL does list how common certain mons on with basically what are common checks and counters to them and all that shit. Its pretty impressive.
