I've only played as Denmark once, and that was an 867 start as Juteland which eventually saw me forming some freakish Denmark+Saxony Empire. I had an awesome game where I started as Haesting of Nantes, raided the fuck out of and then conquested the OPms in Italy (Roma too)
I also conquested Brittany, then launched a prepared invasion of West Francia, where I basically took all the French territory. I then switched to Catholic/Norman for my comfy Christian Kingdom where I just built up my personal demesne and spent time perfecting my nation laws, and eventually crusading the fuck out of non-believers.

Another good one was doing the same thing but with Lombardy, just building up my personal demesne in the duchy of Lombardy, work on laws, try to get the Empire of Italia, but don't blob. Then crusade.

Also go heavy into the learning society. Game isn't boring and has enough war, but is maximum comfy. Also, be the protector of holy artifacts (and steal them from the Pope)

They separate their navy in small units so it has been pretty easy to just wreck them. This is my third war and they also were at war with Mamluks so their navy is pretty weak.

I am also pretty sure that their manpower was 8k when i started this war but after killing 33k of they have 4k manpower.
