Hey HPM, I'm sure this sounds like a dumb question because there's probably a good answer, but instead of trying to make the AI encourage Dixie soldiers so that the Civil War is actually a real war, why not just increase the Dixie soldier pops at the game start and maybe change the OOB so there are 1-2 brigades which will survive the separation for more than a few days?

I guess? usually it's better to build your units early on and upgrade as time passes since they keep experience and can still fight while being upgraded. The problem I see is that while 68 divisions is ok, your going to want more and to make more your going to need to cut production on your air force which is pretty crucial as Germany. I misspoke when I said you're fucked at invading poland, it's just that with such a low number of divisions you'll probably be streched when it comes to France and USSR

Oh and as for EU3 mods, miscmods is nigh mandatory, look for it. It should still be around.
