They aren't useless but I wouldn't recommend one as a first char; you will want something that can kill things for money so you can buy premium and do the necessary silver farming for end game.

Also the full supports are not typically heal slaves, the "real" full support characters that are actually useful are Krivis 3 which extends buff durations and Chrono 3 which reduces CDs and increases move speed.

He's probably a chaplain. all it takes is lv 1 exorcism to turn it into Magnus Exorcismus.

It's matk, int contributes but...SPR chaplain can do fine with it. It ticks blessing so SPR contributes to the damage too. Matk will come more from your weapon than anything else (except if you're a high int sprless priest going pd or something). If you're a SPR memeplain on't worry about int and Blessing SPR scaling will contribute to ~anything you do~ including ME.

I'll explain myself better, had to do something. As a side note, when I mentioned gear I meant armor and accessories not weapons. Weapons on this game have too big of an impact on damage over stats. Transcendence made this an even bigger problem to the point that we'll be on this ride for as long as the game is alive.

On many good RPGs, Armor usually provides resistances or defensive stats. Accessories provides you with options to optimize on either defensive or offensives specializations this game allows you to do all four with one set regardless armor type. Tanking doesn't exists on this game and no one requires one to fit that role due to this. It also creates an issue which makes Healers be able to deal with the same group of monsters but better due to the ability to soak damage and heal it back.

They need to get rid of armor types and set these bonuses depending on either class or rank. A healer should have a harder time dealing with monsters than a Swordsman, a Wizard is supposed to rely on their CC to deal with the pack and an Archer is supposed to abuse their range. Gear is supposed to provide you with only ONE option, not everything.

An ideal gear set should look like this:

Top, bottom, gloves, boots = DEF/MDEF, Resistance against X Element or Defensive primary stats such as CON/SPR.
Accessories = HP/SP, ACC, Crit Rate, MAMP/Magic Attack, Physical Attack, Element Attack or Evasion, Resistances, DEF/MDEF, Offensive primary stats such as STR/INT/DEX.

Many of their current items made me believe that after all this time they were experimenting with many ideas. See Rhevisan, Agni, Swordy-only gear, Skill boost specific gear and so on. They are trying to solve this problem the easy way out but it's incredibly difficult to achieve it.

At least we aren't having content drought with the barrage of events, and there are large sweeping changes looming in the near future. Seems like it's finally coming out of beta after they figured out that the current systems don't work well.
