I've always wondered about this. For the past year I've considered drawing the necks either covered by the plush/plastic material as the rest of their bodies or going with the thick metal cylinder that most of the other OCfags have gone with. I've put off on changing that because I always told myself that going for something simpler was just an excuse for laziness or that it put them one neck closer to being "furries with lines". Always wondered if it really bothered people that much to be worth changing.
