It was fucked up in FNAF 2 anyways since the old animatronics couldn't leave the parts and service room, while the Toys were getting more and more aggressive so something was clearly going to happen. FNAF 4 justadded in another Bite as another epic lore twist for MatPat and the kiddies to enjoy, while baiting them with the idea of a reveal.

Going into further detail on the Bite was a mistake and should have never been done. It's the same shit as making a movie about the Swedish camp in The Thing that got fucked up by The Thing and showing us the Splitface, or revealing everything about the Space Jockey's species and his ship. And guess what? They did, poorly, and in the case of Prometheus Scott likes it almost as much as Alien. The Bite was introduced as a joke from Phone Guy's nonchalance but was also ominous enough in concept to make you kind of creeped out. Expanding on it any further was a mistake.

Naw, it was a commentary on Snax's AU, about how creepy their whole burlesque setup was. Basically they had been re built and re-branded as stripper robots, but were kept in line by being told the was all for the sake of some mission to save children. Seriously though, I expect 2017 to be more focused on licensing the series, and tailoring it more for kids via marketing. Someone might hotglue the Ballora figure.

FNAF 6 is a carte blanche. He might go full retard with plot twists, or he might not and we'll get something like SL's base game. I do think we won't be getting a teaser for quite some time. I expect it's debut to be in that (((lore))) guidebook, published by Scholastic.
Twisted Ones will, like it's predecessor, break continuity multiple times in attempt to meet or deviate from the games further.
Charlie will again be more unlikable and bitchier than the antagonist, who gets one kill at most.
The movie will be crappy and forgettable like most recent WB distributed flicks (sans Monsterverse), unless it actually gets a decent director and/or an R-rating for the 80's horror movie inspired horror franchise that TOTALLY doesn't warrant an R-rating, and you're just being an edgelord for thinking that the series where a rotten, red cadaver with it's entrails are shown on screen might warrant one.

I loved At The Mountains of Madness, but I admit that some parts such as when HP's self-insert determined that the ancient extinct race of starfish aliens belonged to an ideal utopian socialist society were fucking strange and out of place. Prometheus showed us that they were genetically engineered organisms from Jesus (literally, look this up) that had evolved to it's current stage. It had greater ramifications on the Alien universe than Lovecraft's story did, which left these Elder Thing's impact on the greater scope more ambiguous. I can see complaints for the black goo. It's basically a magical substance that does basically anything, when Alien and Aliens had made a point to draw a clear life cycle for the Xenomorphs. The goo in Prometheus mutates, disintegrates , infects, makes life, and probably more. Turning the Xenomorph into what looks like a lab experiment does warrant some questions. It reminds me of some of the horror OC in that regard.

I know the "found footage" genre of horror movies has been absurdly overdone and really poor ever since Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity, but I honestly think it would be the best way to make a good and spooky FNAF movie. Hear me out here:

The vast majority of the games take place on security cameras, so it actually completely makes sense that you'd see everything through cameras. And unlike a lot of stupid found footage movies that have cameras fucking everywhere for seemingly no reason, this would actually be a legit reason. Also, you find out the majority of instructions and backstory through Phone Guy, which is just old phone messages. This could play as just a voice again, or even instructional VHS videos, like instructions for the springlock suits.
The brightly colored 80s pizzeria arcade aesthetic combined with busted up off-tune-music VHS aesthetic makes for a pretty creepy aesthetic in general.

Most important is that it actually fits the story to be VHS footage. It's not somebody running around with a camera and videotaping every little thing for no reason. It's not cameras just randomly located in every single room for no reason. It's an 80s pizzeria arcade with security cameras and instructional videos.

I think most of what impacts how that idea would be received is narrative structure. Just as an example, whether the film abruptly switches to camera footage midway through as part of an investigation into into events from the first part. Seems like sort of a moot argument though since every few years there's a film people hail as a new and creative use of the found footage cliche, then 5 years later, that very same example is denounced.

Made some progress on some things, slowly figuring out how to be less critical about my art, met up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while. I even got a fun new hobby, and because it's brand new to me I feel like a kid again doing it.

The "found footage" angle doesn't work for FNAF as well as people think because you'd still need to come up with an excuse for em to lug a camera around, otherwise it'd get old fast with only ten-twelve different camera angles in the entire film.
