In VC the West Seaxe hasn't declared wars on any of it's neighbors and I wanted to kickstart anglo-saxon rule is there any way to start a war it's 60 days in and nothing has happened. Besides War Eternal against the Frisians who, since West Seaxe doesn't start off with a port can't do anything about it. Or should I just say fuck it and try and form my own kingdom somewhere else?

If the game goes on long enough the Latin Empire will rebound with the other larger factions getting cannibalized and splintered. In my presently game If I were not presently at war with the Latin Empire they would have many more territories btw.

Mass defection is a huge concern in 1257AD. Think of the relations logistics of every town conquered -- It is fundamentally 6-9 negative relations among all lords. Hang on long enough and instigate enough wars between enemy factions (by gifting them volatile territories) and they will get cut down by infighting and "curb their power" wars from multiple factions.

After some testing, it turns out that if you marry a claimant you not only get instantly and automatically recruited to their faction, you lose the ability to leave that faction entirely.
