You can't log out of NNID on 3DS, the only way to do it is to format your system (or permanently delete your NNID). Doing that is safe if you're on 9.2 and don't want to keep any of your current games or saves for them.

But it doesn't matter, you probably want to copy it over to EmuNAND and TinyFormat your SysNAND instead of doing the old retarded SD card out format, that way you'll keep your NNID working correctly on Emu.

If you just make your EmuNAND as-is and later use TinyFormat on SysNAND, you'll keep your NNID and everything in your EmuNAND. Your SysNAND won't have it, but you really won't miss it there. If you were to do it the wrong way and do it via System Settings with SD card out, that would fuck shit up because it makes your system send a "hey this NNID isn't on this system anymore" to Nintendo's servers, which will cause interesting problems when it tries to log you in on EmuNAND (which will think it's still linked).

So yeah, just use TinyFormat on SysNAND *after* you make your EmuNAND, during the unlinking step. I think all of the guides here use it. It'll just work and you avoid all NNID fuckery.

System transfer failed.
So now I'll have to wait 2 weeks to be able to get my account, save data, and files to the new new 3ds.
I think I know how to get it to work now. But I wish there had been a guide about how to get it to work in OP's pastebin.

I'll just restore the emunand to o3ds and continue using it till next week, do a n3ds to o3ds sys transfer then, restore emunand again, and then wait one more week to finally get it right.

So I got NTR a while ago, because I thought I needed it for Hyrule Warriors. Never installed it, because I didn't need it, and I'm trying to keep things as minimalist as possible.

That said, I don't even actually know what NTR is other than it will let me play different region games. Can someone explain its features and how it functions?Like, is it a different CFW, or just a title like BigBlueMenu? I tried looking it up myself, but the stuff I found was saying it was N3DS only, which I know it isn't, so I'm guessing what I'm finding is all out of date. So I think I might have an incomplete downgrade
My system says its 9.2 but anytime I try to coldboot into reinand it freezes on a red screen
I also can't get pastacfw or mini pasta to work OR emunand9
I ran the downgrade check program but as far as I could tell nothing seemed to be wrong
Maybe I just need a better n3ds guide

I'm trying to update my EmuNAND to 10.5. I've unlinked my NANDs, I turn on the system in boot manager, I select rxTools, I go to system settings, I make sure the version is RX-E, I click system update, it makes me accept the license agreement, starts the download, but then it immediately says "an error has occurred, restarting your 3ds."

Any ideas for what I'm doing wrong? Do I even need to do this step if all I want to do is play Fire Emblem?

I can install it and play just fine, but the moment I add the update patch it stays on the "3DS" screen and wont load the game.

When I delete the patch it works fine again.

I dont get it. But I've just spent 2 hours downloading, installing and testing multiple variations of the update .cia to no avail. Using NTR and freemultipatcher too.

Apparently if you have anything plugged into the headphone jack, the system will boot straight into sysNAND and skip loading menuhax.
