I have a question about rentin pawns: So I do know that pawns with main guard or heal can fuck off but why do some pawns cost RC?
Also does the level matter terribly on pawns? I'm around 19 now and between all those level 19 pawns there is this one level 47 one. What's up with that? If I hire it wouldn't it throw the difficulty way off?

BBI weapons can't be used before level 51 anyway. If equipped before that, you use a fuck ton of stamina on normal attacks. I'd recommend that you beat Daimon first. And beat Grigs first as well, so you can re-roll all 3 variations of what it could purify into, then decide what to stick with.

At least switch one of your quick casts with Fulmination. You don't need two and it's a fantastic support spell when they use the chain lightning mode.

Affinities are usually a problem with sorcs 'cause they'll stop charging a nuke in favor of buffing you or other pawns.

If you beat grigs first, then you get the godsbane, so you can save in front of Olra, switch your pawn and yourself to the same color vocation, see what it purifies into for that vocation color, then godsbane to easily reload your save. Then, do a different vocation color, and so on.

Besides, in BBI, dragonforging is really easy. Cursed dragons have something like a 65% chance to DF gear. Most people farm the sweet pope in BBI 2.0, since he respawns, and he has a weak cursed dragon as a pet.

Is there a way I can alter my pawn's stats with cheatengine or something? I leveled her up to ~25 or 30 as a mage before deciding I wanted her as a Ranger, so her stats are all fucked up, her Strength seems super low, it's like 150-200 behind my main characters even without weapons equipped.

Just restarted completely after playing Warrior.
Felt like I was swinging around a fucking pool noodle, not a sword. I was hoping it'd get better, but it really didn't. Ran into an Ogre and it took literally 30 minutes of me and my pawns fucking wailing on it for it to die. Ugh.
What vocation should I go for this time?
I just want to feel like I'm actually fuckin' doing damage to the enemies and not just whacking at them with a nerf bat.

Dragon's dogma is quite something, just today there were several different instances where I read "X is complete shit, don't use it", went and removed it from my own pawn, and then read something like "X is great, always use it" shortly after.

Misinformation for this game travels like wildfire for some reason.

If you're a climber, then make sure you have your rusted weapons. When upgraded to 3 stars or better, rusted weapons inflict torpor (slow) and poison, on all but 6 enemy types. This makes climbing large enemies super easy, since they can't shake you off, and makes fighting shit like drakes laughable, since they will attack so slow.

Similarly, gold weapons upgraded to 3 stars or better inflict silence. This can make even some bosses unable to attack back.
