Never played DDDA and am currently a lvl 8 strider mainly going for bow and I was wondering how I best cope with additional magic
I went Strider for Stamina, at 10 do I focus on mage or ranger first?
What's the big difference between sorcerer and mage, does sorc have ele buffs?
What are the best support spells I should go for as MA?
Another thing, I feel like I fucked up my char with giving her around 68kg~ weight from muscles and size, is the stamina penalty rather small and stamina usage just sucks early on or should I reroll?
Autohotkey script with a few improvements.
Clicking the middle mouse button will loose a normal arrow when you're in your secondary weapon's skills
M will open your map
C will open your equipment
J will open your quest log
The secret to mage/sorc leveling if you think they are boring is to merely spam holy focused bolts.
Seriously, it's fast as fuck, homing to the point of hitting enemies off screen, piercing, high damage, no stamina cost, can be used while moving/jumping/levitating
Can I do climby shit as a Magick Archer?
I've got to level 23 playing mage and sorcerer and I'm loathe to play those any longer so I'm thinking of switching to something with good stamina growth before MA if MA gets to climb and shank
I believe I've found a proper crew.
Castle could do with less using of brontide, though.
!!!!!!!!REPOSTAN IMPORTANT POST!!!!!!!!!
For the love of all that is holy, I ask of you nothing more than her sliders!
Reminder to get this mod for screenshots
reposting from last thread
is it ok to swap to a new class once i max its vocation rank? Im 2 roses from maxing fighter and I heard strider has some dank augmets, then ill do warrior after

Is there any way to make it so the game doesn't pause on alt-tab? Sometimes traveling at night is brutal but waiting around for day time is boring.
I only bother with bara pawns.
Too bad finding a good bara mage is almost impossible with all the healsluts and lolis so I sometimes settle for vomit inducing female mages

When switching from Warrior to Magick Archer, how many levels should I get with Mage?
Do you guys think it got enough sales for a sequel?
I don't know if I should buy this game or Xcom 2
Someone give me the reshade that fixes the awful night sky color banding
Which style, /ddg/?
Bara Sorcerers > Bara Mages. Watching them cast a wad of Gicel into a Cyclops' face will never not be entertaining.
multiplayer is half broken. you can see other players pawns and recruit them, but you'll never know if someone played your pawn or not. game is perfectly playable, but i really want that feature to be working
Any MAs here that can answer some questions?
It's at rank 6 which is pretty early if mage.
Before that all you literally have to do is enchant your staff with the element the enemy is weak against and spam attack, really.
So long as you aren't fighting no weakness bandits before focused bolts then it's fine
get support pawns, check that they have elemental buffs for you. learn which enemy needs which buff and tweak your pawn setup for the problematic enemy.
ogres die reasonably well early game with lightning boon, as opposed to forcing you to click them for 5 minutes
>shit like rotten carrots
seems like you don't like infinite money
>Strider or assassin?
everyone loves assassin, I think it's boring as fuck and strider is way more fun
HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR PIRATED SAVE FOR RETARDS:
Download the save file tool (http://www.tzarsectus.com/tools/DDsavetool.rar)
Extract that into a new folder
Copy your pirated save into this new folder. Pirated save location is appdata/roaming/steam/codex/367500/remote/ddda.sav
Open up cmd, Drag the save tool exe into the cmd window, then hit space, type "-u" (No "s), hit space again, and drag the ddda.sav into the window, and hit enter
The tool should then extract the .sav into a text file
Open the new text file up in a text editor (I used notepad+), and ctrl + f steam, and replace the number in there with your steam64 id (Find your steam 64 id on this website https://steamid.co/)
Save that shit.
Then, With the CMD window again, drag the save tool, hit space, type "-r", hit space again, and drag the text file into the window, then hit enter.
It should repack the text file into ddda.sav
Finally, copy that shit to the retail save folder, which is located in steam/userdata/[numbers]/367500/remote
I'm barley taking any dmg anymore, I'm level 30 and just went to the great wall encampent, the thieves on the way did like 1 dmg on me and the chimeara around 200. I've got 250 physcial and magical defense, is that normal?!
>reduced stamina usage
Holy shit. You aren't using these, right? You're not this much of a fucking babby, are you, PCdudes?
Hey, your pawnfu game is pretty good. I love the one on the left.
Never mind just literally activated the deband feature on reshade mediator. Looks a lot better now in the night
Why didn't you guys just turn HDR to low?
I'm baffled at people complaining so much about them since it was one of the main complaints when the game was console only.
>HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR PIRATED SAVE FOR RETARDS:
not talking saves m8, I have that pasta already
I literally never use steam and want to know how I can skip having to redownload 14gb of files I already have unpacked on my HDD from having pirated Dark Arisen previously.
>Holy shit. You aren't using these, right? You're not this much of a fucking babby, are you, PCdudes?
Of course not
I couldn't stand not hearing "Tis still too early to give up yet" or "Up and at them, ser" every 30 seconds
>No one is hiring my pawn
>Get self-conscious that I made a shitty pawn
>Restart the game after being ~8 hours in to try and make a better pawn from the ground up.
>Find out today about pawns being broken this whole time.
This is the worst.
So all of that is texture stuff, sound stuff and cheats / value changes? No one said that was impossible, that was actually the stuff everyone said was possible.
i.e. you're retarded
Thanks for the suggestions.
I can't take credit for her at all. She's my best attempt at recreating some /ddg/ anon's console Pawn. Pic related, my muse.

I feel like I'm the only one trying to kill this guy right now. His health barely dropped since yesterday.
That's strange considering he dead 3 times in the first two days. I guess all the pirates just wanted the first kills then stopped playing.
>all my friends have either modded the game in terms of health/stamina/weight or have just hired level 900 pawns to clear the game for them
I don't understand why this image is provided as incentive to NOT minmax when the difference between a fighter > sorcerer arisen and a pure sorcerer arisen is over 500. That's a fucking lot. It's a single player game so nobody should feel forced to minmax, but goddamn, if this game had a multiplayer component beyond pawns, it'd be minmax city.
Since the shits isn't working, has anyone ever rented a pawn named Morona? I'm trying to see if it's just my playstyle that's got her acting like this or what.
I came from Xenonauts, I expected more xenonauts
It was just filled with stupid shit like steps being in blocks instead of individual, so you had to either go extremely slow or rush
snipers did nothing because you can barely hit anything out of their vision range
enemies spawn behind you after you move up for god knows what reason
>playing catch with a cute boar
>accidentally press throw before grabbing him

Didn't save the body sliders, but that should be enough to go on.
So I'm level 17 and have been going warrior most of the time.
But assasin looks very pleasing and I would like to go the edgy dagger build instead of what I'm doing now.
Is my character fucked if I decide to go assasin at level 17?
Completely new to the game, and about to read through the OP stuff now, but just wanted to ask how is the mage/sorceror in this game?
The class I go with is going to impact whether I make an old magician or stick with my current bad boss.
oh well that's because xenonauts is practically a remake of the original games where EU is a modernisation
snipers get a skill that lets them shoot at stuff outside their personal visual range but what their allies can see (which is also a baseline ability for them in EU2 now), and the enemies behind you thing is just patrollers moving around the map and finding you. Unless you're talking about maps where they drop in from the sky as reinforcements? That's annoying at times but it's also 100% scripted so you can tell where they're going to be if you've done the mission before.
I do enjoy the old games as well as the new one, but I haven't gotten round to Xenonauts yet.

Nah m8, been playing since the leak.
But no matter, I requested a refund. Suits me fine so I can get rid of steam again. I really wish Capcom would start to release their games on gog.
it's 500 between the two extremes. it's only 350 between pure sorc and balanced, about an 18% difference. most people recommend going balanced because by focusing on extremes you lose a ton of vocations to gain 18% damage at level 200, and everything is already trivial at level 200
honestly even talking about level 200 is stupid, if people care about minmaxing through content they should talk about like level 80 when they're actually doing shit. even hardmode bbi 2.0 is only hard at like level 100 or so. 200 is way out there
I think I accidentally made Samus Aran, is that bad?
We off to Bluemoon tower to get that Salomet faggot.
Does my pawn's status in the rift only reset if I rest at the inn or does it also happen if I enter a riftstone?
Any tips on Griffin hunting, non-post game?
I've read a map on where its locations are, and put a Portcrystal down North-East of the Knollfigure Hill area where I go to an inn, sleep till morning then port there right away. I hear bird screeching in the air but never see it, I'm assuming that screeching is the griffin.
I saw it once among the trees but failed to capture it.
I know it doesn't spawn if you kill the Chimera next to the Blighted-Manor Rear Entrance, but I just can't track the Griffin down. I just don't see it most of the time.
it's kind of a lot
you're not meant to go 200 levels of fighter, that's just to point out the absolute minimum
It's just to show that you shouldn't be afraid to spend some more time in mage or test out some other classes because "muh min max I'll have 100 less magic"
casting is slow but effects are REALLY, REALLY dramatic. if you like utility and quick casting you will be disappointed. if you like SUMMON METEOR and it actually really does summon some fucking meteors, you will have fun
>Dragon's Dogma How to be a fantastic faggot early
I found that in my save game.
I'm pretty sure that this is your Pawn AI. He's Util/Medic/Challenger and you see infotype 1-8,there are 8 inclinations, and you can see status values 1,2,3 for Prudent/Tactics/Strategy, those names make no sense and this could be a huge coincidense and this is acutally the hidden AI that you teach your pawn/he immitaes from you.
Also, fuck the guy who said I couldnt unlearn Magick Agent. I already found that
First playthrough here. I switched from Fighter to Warrior at lv.13 because Gatsu love. But it seems Warrior is pretty much just bashing the attack buttons and Fighter looked more tactical for the time I played.
Is this true in the long run or does Warrior have some sweet combos/tactics if I continue with it ?
Yeah, the first time when it attacks the cart with the goblins is scripted but after that it can just show up and pick up some oxen and then fly the fuck off whenever it feels like it.
So I have no idea what vocation I want to play.
Mystic Knight looked interesting with the perfect block and the ability to self enchant. I'm just starting out, I picked Mage since I figured I needed casting ability too.
Except now that I'm researching a bit more, I'm a bit confused.
So I need shit from Assassin, Warrior, Fighter, Mage and Sorcerer.
So I have to play every class to be the best at the one I actually wanna play? Is there some way to level vocations without messing up my stat growth?
no, you got it about right. fighter is more tactical, warrior really is about eating hits and knocking 10 guys over with giant sweepy shit
honestly playing both is advised since they're augments compliment each other
so i went back to the shadow fort to grind a bit to max out assassin before killing grigori. i remembered i never killed the drake so i went and fought it.
i was using sword assassin, and actually had a difficult time because of the lack of defense (using burst strike, full moon, gouge).
in the end, are daggers really the only viable way to play assassin because of dodge roll, double jump, masterful kill, gale harness, and invisibility and the survivability they add?
i love using gouge as a skill and it feels so good to use, but it seems like daggers are just stronger in every way...
>Am i forever cursed to have my gear weigh more than 50% of my capacity as warrior?
Fighter has augment to increase your carry max by 20
Some other vocation (I think Strider) makes you travel 1 weight class lighter than what you actually are.
Must have augments imo
I just completed "off with it's head" before doing any of the quests in Cassardis.
Does that lock me out of anything of importance? I'm just reading through the sidequest guide right now.
If not, what quests do I need to pay attention not to miss?
I already went to bbi and got some nice weapons.
Not that it matters, since they drain my stamina like a lackadaisy whore so I only use them on bosses but regardless, good early exp.
>waiting for pawns to be fixed
>by the time they are most people will be much higher level than me
>in the end, are daggers really the only viable way to play assassin because of dodge roll, double jump, masterful kill, gale harness, and invisibility and the survivability they add?
Yes and no.
Dire gouge is very strong and you can get the counter attack move on sword if you want survivability.
I personally cannot play without double jump and dodge however. But at the end of the day I actually prefer strider for helmsplitter rather than masterful kill.
Gale harness is gay as fuck.
you're thinking about it the wrong way
minmaxing is unimportant and you have no "final class." if you "plan" to have perfect stats for such and such a build at level 200, you will already have beaten the game twice over by that point. even level 100 is extremely late. people beat the base game at like 45 and the expansion at like 100
the game is designed to encourage you to play several classes over the course of a playthrough. you do not go "i'm going to be an X" and then "build for X." at most, you pick a broad area (e.g. swordfighting) and then play all 4 classes that can do that at some point
>MFW fighting a gore chimera and I killed the snake, goat, and lion head but it was still alive
Some spooky stuff.
In regards to stat growth, see >>128902287
If you want augments from other vocations you either play them, AFK farm post-game guards and switch vocations right before you level, or just use the cheat engine to get them.
these are your inclinations
this is not the hidden AI. I've done plenty of save editing and i have no idea how the learned techniques are stored.
Belligerent - Scather
Prudent - Medicant
Poor Aim - Mitigator
Strategy - Challenger
Tactics - Utilitarian
Protection - Guardian
Same Support - Nexus
Curiosity - Pioneer
Gather - Acquisitor
Ex_Talk - Speech frequency
Setting it to 0 does not make them shut up. They actually still talk quite often.
>Caxton doesn't sell anything other than the Reinforced Longbow
Fuck how am I supposed to give my Ranger pawn good shit
These are just different names for the inclinations.
Belligerent = Scather
Prudent = Mendicant
Poor Aim = Mitigator
Strategy = Challenger
Tactics = Utilitarian
Protection = Guardian
Same Support = Nexus
Curiosity = Pioneer
Gather = Aquisitioner.
So even with cheat engine I see no way to increase the stagger and knockback damage weapon do. Basically what I want is the worst weapons in the game with the stagger and knockback damage of about 10x the end game weapons. I believe this will make juggling enemies possible due to how their stagger hp regenerates when they are in the air. Someone make this possible or help me do it and I will test extensively.
Pawns will try to cast that, but the cast takes too long and they'll just try to hop out of the way of an enemy without casting.
It's also time wasted that could be used for an actual useful spell.
Pawns rarely use magic agent right.
I guess? But I suppose I'm not as worried about stat growth as I am just having to slog through five classes. I've no interest in Fighter or Assassin, but Warrior looks neat. It's just kind a pain, leveling vocations.
AFK farm? Is that a way to grind vocations essentially? And I'm considering the cheat engine path, but I don't know. What if I magically like one class over the other in the end? I sort of kill the progression that I'd...grind for.
I don't know if I like grinding.
do you know what status value means in this sense then?
I can see that it ranks them by their mvalue number, but what is the 1,2,3 ranking for. cause that does not match ingame rating.
Also do you know how do edit their core skills? This looks like its responsible for it. I thought I will just set everything to 0 since I don't know what each is, and just take the penalty of buying them again, if that works.
if you're worried about getting augments from classes you don't want to play, there is a way in the postgame (but before the DLC dungeon) to afk farm vocation ranks fairly quickly
on a new character i play every class i want to through the base game, then take an hour to get augments via that method, then do the harder expansion content
Holy shit I feel like something awesome is happening, even though I don't understand why the Dragonforged died. Did all the Arisens took the deal with Grigori like the fucking duke?
>I can see that it ranks them by their mvalue number, but what is the 1,2,3 ranking for. cause that does not match ingame rating.
it's just their place in the array
I haven't had it happen and I've walked around there quite a bit
Level 30 and I'm stlll a strider. Should I out anything else? I'm just having so much
funwith this skillset.
I'll have to admit, this was purely accidental
I was making a random brown elf loli and then went back to change her hairstyle when suddenly I realised something...
Should I change her skin to white and her hair to black?
>Restores to each member of the party one tenth of the health or stamina restored to its wearer. In Dark Arisen this fraction is boosted to one quarter.
Holy wow this thing is nice. Makes having a Mage even more pointless.
its quite safe to do so
I'm fairly sure that's core skills. It's been a while since I've played around with them.
Search for "darkness" if you're in post-game
First off, all that stuff is minmaxing so if you aren't into that don't bother too much because gear is more important, bus you probably already know that.
Sorc obviously has the most magic damage scaling, which you want for magick archer (I assume this is your goal?). Sorcs do have buffs, but no healing or cure magic. You can switch to sorc immediatly at lvl 10 if you wish to go for pure damage scaling. Some ranger levels will give you more stamina, if that's what you want, but again, this is purely a matter of taste and playstyle, because you can also just eat tons of shrooms while in battle. Some people will say you should play 100 sorc level until playing magick archer but imo that's nonsense if that's your first playthrough. You might be burned out before even reaching that point.
As for your weight, as long as you aren't a huge blob of fat stamina penalties aren't that bad. It's just generally low in the beginning.
Anyone? All I find is 10-200 sorcerer shit
What level do you aprox reach in one playthrough including DA anyway?
These guys keep on talking about grinding 200 lvls before even touching the class they want to fucking play
I've got two of your mageslut pawns /ddg/.
you reach about 40? when you reach the postgame (pre DLC), about 80? when you clear the DLC for the first time, and maybe 100-110 if you clear the extra hard super ghouls and ghosts DLC
at 200 everything is trivial, so minmaxing for 200 is complete nonsense
Thanks mates. Just wondering if there were any classes that have the same utility.
I did get a magick bow as a drop though, so I might try out MA
You'll miss out on a small area and one or two quests as well as a qt loli witch love interest.
More importantly, you won't be getting any laurels which is needed for some high level gear. You can still do this in NG though, I wouldn't worry too much.
I just started this game yesterday, haven't created my own Pawn yet.
Who would you be more likely to hire, a pale elf girl with a flat chest and wide hips or a dwarf-like warrior type character?
yeah but the dragon steals everyone's heart regardless of whether they take the deal
you could live forever just by hiding from the dragon and letting it destroy civilization. it's implied the area you fight grigori in is a previous civilization destroyed by the dragon
Okay, so I did the music replacement thing, at least until the point in which I converted some of the music in the game into .ogg.
I turned the extension back into .sngw, but it's still read as a firefox html document for some reason.
I got to a point in which this song was used, and the game crashed, and I don't believe any backups are available.
Any way I can remedy this?
You should aim for the magick damage increasing ones form sorc or mage.
As for the other ones, browse through them in a wiki, there's also quality of life stuff like more weight to carry if you want that.
I pick skills with the staff that might be useful in certain situations. For example frazil can make an ice block, allowing you to block passageways, and levin can attack enemies who are behind cover. I switch to it when needed.

I'm liking this game.
I'm using a logitech dual action with the PC version. I remapped the sheathe key to d-pad down to free up L2 for dash, but sheathing doesn't work. When I map sheathe to L2 again, it works.
Does anyone have similar issues?
Welp, just beat BBI 1.0. Daimon ended up dropping a level 3 armor, and we got level 2 armors and a weapon from his chest, as well as a couple other level 3 armors from the fallen city.
I'm MA, my pawn is a warrior. After going through the purifications and godsbaning a few times, I ended up getting a blasphemers cloak for my arisen, and a boltbringer and immortals gauntlets for my pawn.
Now I have to go through BBI 2.0 and hope I can get a lvl 2 spellbow to drop, because there is no way I can hope to scratch Daimon 2.0's defense with a lvl 1 bow, even if its gold forged.
I'm not sure what Skill Use is. I'm assuming it's chatter for what skills they recommend you to use/what skills they're using.
You can easily do the follow:
Search "Surgery". This is the counter for Secret of Metamorphosis. Set it to 99.
The 3 arrays below it mark whether or not you've unlocked skin/hair/makeup colors.
There's stuff for beastiary/area/quest knowledge, but honestly, don't fuck with it. It seems to fuck up your pawns if you don't have the prerequisite frame time + kills against enemies and at that point you're already 3 stars against that enemy likely. I tried putting a maxed out beastiary on a fresh pawn and the pawn was absolute garbage.
As far as I can tell combat behavior is stored per enemy. I think it would be possible to a pawn's training to another, but I wouldn't count on modifying anything.
So, if i missed that guy being attacked by the goblins in the beginning, i won't have access to him? What the fuck?
I was exploring the beach in the beginning of the game and i don't even remember seeing anyone being attacked by goblins. Tell me i can find more merchants, that "masterworks" all guy has nothing new for me.
I'm level 30 already.
Also, what do i do with those slates/tablets from the water temple?
>Hasn't watched Leon: The Professional
I'm jelly, you're going to experience that for the first time. download the uncut version
Adjustments made. Nose10 looks more similar in profile, but up front is too flat, I stuck with 24.
Loli mystic knight ready for action
actually, Im going to mess around a bit more to make her front view better
Fight necrophages. Elder ogres really like to drop lvl 2 armors, and garms are good for some lvl 2's as well. The best source of level 2's and sometimes 3's are the condemned gorecyclops.
Once you clear BBI once, everything resets, and the chests will change what they can contain, some of which will have a better chance of weapons/armors, and some may have up to lvl 3's in them.
Do more main quests and the merchants will have more weapons. You could level up to 200 and he still won't have any new weapons until you do some more quests.
Also, check out Madeleine or the guy in the mines (assuming you did their respective quests) for more merchants.
So after a lot of experimenting how does this look?
im running around in the duke castle or whatever its called and its raping my ears
atleast i can ignore it most of the time since theres noise covering it up but if anyone knows a fix it would be appreciated
also the sound is very low in this game, have to put my knob twice as far as I usually have it
it takes a while to get the hang of it.
Hey guys check my build pl0x
I want to be a melee mystic knight, are these stats ok?
>Search "Surgery". This is the counter for Secret of Metamorphosis. Set it to 99.
what do you mean by that? why does it have a counter.
yeah I didnt want to fuck with the AI, I just wanted to see how it works cause I don't really know how to teach my pawn.
I've been using Focused Bolt non stop now and he barly immitates it. He had a phase where he used it alot but when I made him sorc he stopped again. I also thought that magick agent might fuck with focus bold cause my pawn tries to cast that alle time instead of focused bolt.
but holy fuck am I gald this worked, now I will try and see if it possible to teach him to spam focused bolt without magick agent interfering.
So, I want to build a character stat wise who by the time he hits level 200, will be able to play any of the classes at least viably. Like, i could play a good warriror but switch to sorceror for a change of pace.
Is this possible or will I be gimping myself even by the time I hit high levels or the cap?
If it's possible, when should I start playing magic classes to even myself out? Should I aim for about 100 levels of phys classes and 100 levels of magic? Atm I'm level 30 assassin
>All those pawns with exactly 5,572,469 RC
Man, what lazy fucking nigs. Can't even be bothered to use cheat engine themselves and just downloaded something to edit a single value for them.
I haven't started playing yet, but I'm trying to think about what kind of characters I want while I'm downloading.
What inclinations would be good for a ranger pawn?
I'm thinking Challenger would be nice, but I'm not sure what else to give my pawn.
Also, is it possible to somehow "lock" a pawn's inclination once I get the ones I want?
Or do I have to worry about acting the right way through the whole game so my pawn doesn't pick up any bad patterns?
Thanks in advance for any help
>They don't know
What you've got to do is
Kill Julian. You need to do this in basically 1 hit because it counts as a loss if he so much as blocks one of your attacks. After he is dead, you revive him with a wakestone. Then he'll go hand himself in. Go to the castles prison and he'll give you his shields, which is the only way in the game to get this shield. Also you'll end up fucking him after you beat the dragon.
Alternatively, let Mercedes lose and get her sword.
as long as you dont put impossible shit on your pawn you'll be fine i think
you can mess with discipline points, vocation ranks and core skills freely
technically you can modify pawn stats as well but they have to be within the bounds of possibility. like it has to match an actual stat growth.
you can also equip hybrid vocation augments and it wont flag your pawn.
Here's my AHK controller hotkey script for those interested. Not perfect but it gets by, now to the copypasta:
Basically how this works is tapping the Guide Button will use hotkey "1", holding Right Bumper and the Guide Button will use hotkey "2", holding Left Bumper and the Guide Button will use hotkey "3", and holding the Guide Button for one sec then releasing will bring up your map.
I suggest setting the hotkeys with the keyboard, since the RB and LB will still tab through your inventory.
Presumably this should also work with other controllers, in which case the button_on_guide2.exe should be unnecessary and you may want to edit the script to use the appropriate keys.
I've seen someone mention the guide button starts up Steam Big Picture. Don't have that problem myself but try turning off Big Picture in the Interface Settings? Otherwise I've read that XInput can be used to circumvent this.
Here's the link, make sure to install AutoHotKey to use this script.
Run both "button_on_guide2.exe" and "DDDA_HK123+Map.ahk". The first program enables the guide button for use, the second is my script. Note that both the "8" and "9" keys are going to be utilized, so if you need those keys you'll have to make some edits.
He's one of the best vendors, innocent is best.
Also I never noticed you don't lose stamina if you are riding on the top of something and don't move.
to add one thing, I actually belive that it isnt possible to teach pawns stuff as in you come up with sometihng.
I think you just unlock stuff. Combos that devs thought off that you have to do and then your pawn can do them too.
I used that Jump,Heavyattack,Levitate, heavyattack, leviate thing out of combat just because I wanted to try it once. I never used heavyattack before that and neither did my pawn.
5 min later he did exactly that. So i think that's actually a combo they thought of and you have to unlock it.
What do you think of that theory?
i will try downsampling then
just running around gran soren right now and there is jaggies all fucking over, drives me nuts.
fighter/mage are always the most common.
which is fine because imo they are two essential pawns for a lot of classes.
just make sure your fighter is trained well and has good inclinations and has sinew and they'll get rents
So should I just keep what I had originally? I just feel like something is off and I don't know what.
I went with an assassin so a fighter was something obvious to me.
Also what pawn should I get for a MA, a sorcerer/mage so that I can teach him/her shit? Kinda feel like a fighter wouldn't fit that well.
Personal quests always max affinity.
If you don't want to end up fucking her, you've got to max someone elses affinity after hers. Which is usually hard since her quest comes so late in the game.
Best bet is to use Arisen's Bond after you do the quest.
I can't seem to get my Pawn to acquire 3 Star knowledge of the Encampment, and it's hitting my OCD hard. I've ran around the entire place probably three times and hit every gathering point I know of. What determines their knowledge on areas?
What the fuck did you just fucking say about my Arisen, you little Weakling? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Cassardis Adventuring Group, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids in The Everfall, and I have over 300 confirmed Pawns. I am trained in All Vocations and I’m the top Trainer in the entire Rift. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Notice Board? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of Hired Pawns across the Gran SOren and your SteamID/PSN/LIVE is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the Cheat Engine and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.
This didn't translate well to Dragon's Dogma since there isn't much lore.
Nothing wrong with average. The other one was better.
Friendly reminder: Go talk to your interest before heading out to the point of no return. The last person you talked to with maxed affinity becomes your honey at the end.
Well shit, the only one who's left at that point is Madeleine, I think.
Kinda wanted to romance the she-goat but it seems like it's impossible that way.
Does Selene stay at your house after you find her shit in Witchwood, or does she only appear during the post-game? I don't really remember.
The first one of those 2grps is probably your arisen, the 2nd one of those lists is your pawn. I then changed every value 0 zero just to be sure I didnt fuck something up with a wrong value, implying that 0 is default and you start with that.
And now I can just buy them again.
Just to be clear, that screenshot doenst show my pawns and arisen core skills, it just shows the core skill for 1 character. that level1 and level 2 is for one character, Look for the 2nd time that group appears in the save file, and change those to 0
I spent about 30 minutes desperately trying to find a mage without high anodyne and with good inclinations before giving up and just going with the one with the best inclinations. I did not see a SINGLE one without high anodyne.
Man, Hindsight Sweep is so fucking satisfying, looking forward to the BBI upgrade to it. I'm barely ever blocking while I have it, might just drop the shield for fun.
I know, why don't I just play sword assassin? Because fuck you, that's why.
Off the top of my head there's weaknesses devs thought which is beastiary knowledge, then there's learned techniques where a pawn sees something you did is effective but this seems to collide with baked in behaviors.
I have NEVER seen a pawn consistently use Focused Bolt. I remember playing a Sorc and using nothing but Focused Bolt for about 7 hours straight and my pawn still didn't get it.
When it comes to core skills, pawns will never concretely mimic behavior. They will use core skills more often, or a variation of them that you use more often, but will never be consistent.
those arrays in
represent learned core skills im pretty sure
