The slicked back haircuts poof up too much, doesn't really look the same. I'd go blue but it's not the same tint, and DD's skin color system gives every skin color the same reddish tint underneath, so it looks even worse than it normally would. The no eyebrows worked well though, I think.

Also, you can't give your characters Samara's weird face ornaments so their forehead is just completely exposed, I find bangs are a good replacement for them.

Finally beat the Pawn Guild quest with the tentacles. Either I'm really bad or really under leveled. It's weird how some of the shield bearing bandits kill me in 2 hits but the assassin ones they're with are 10x weaker than them. Great game either way, been playing since release.

I've only played the vanilla game briefly on PS3 a whole bunch of years ago and didn't get much enjoyment out of it back then.

I'm going to do it right this time on PC.
I'll be leveling as a strider for some stamina, and then switch over to sorcerer as that's what I want to play as.
What I'm worried about is my pawn's behavior during all of this. I don't know what vocation I should have my pawn be, and I'm also worried about how my switching will affect his behavior.

I don't want my pawn to be useless like the ones I hired back on the PS3, he's gotta be reliable as hell and be doing the things that need doing.
I've read the google doc(s) but I couldn't really find anything relating to pawn behavior when you're switching your playstyle after a good few hours of gameplay.

Could anyone be so kind as to provide some advice? I'd really appreciate it.

Usually if you want a massively reliable pawn then you need to give them literally only two or three skills and then train them relentlessly with them. I remember hiring a Sorcerer with nothing but a Rusted Archistaff and Miasma (and I think High Voidspell) and it meant that it only had a limited and one-dimensional purpose, but it did it right in that you couldn't really lose fights at all because Rusty Miasma never really stops being overpowered.

Most people don't bother doing this until later on as inclinations will cover the general necessities, as long as those are right then you don't need more than that.

Everyone's in the same boat right now, i'm just hiring pawns of whoever adds me and just sharing the RC.

People will only start really caring about pawns when they start doing BBI and you can't afford for a Pawn to only be a moving target. That's when things like debilitation immunities, using skills properly and getting stuff like Tenfold Spam or Perfect Block training in is valuable.

Basically don't worry, just get inclinations in and try to avoid teaching bad habits like climbing on monsters before they've been debilitated in some way (usually the big flaw).

Why are my webms so shit?
I'm using webm for retards, high quality and 2 pass are checked. Have bitrate set to 800 and audio is off, and it's still shit.

Also if I let it automatically pick a bitrate based on the size limit of 3MB it doesn't use all of the 3MB making it even worse.

Most people are retards as though they'll restart the game to do Lost and Found but then not even complete the Witch Hunt mission which is the very reason you even bother with Lost and Found in the first place anyway, as its that mission which gives you all the important stuff.

Since I didn't like any of the ENB/Reshade setups that people keep posting here, mostly due to waaaaay too much blue, horribly oversaturated colors, the broken AO, more bloom on top of already bloom-ish game and other such things that annoyed me.

I decided to make my own preset that's more subtle. The focus was purely to remove the olive tint that the game has and increase saturation a bit but not to insane levels.

DD is not a game that punishes your class/build decisions but it DOES let you miss sidequests, so because of someone's advice you did something pointless and in exchange lost something meaningful.

What's more the advice is even more dumb because you don't even need to go to Gran Soren to change classes, you can head to Bitterblack Isle instead which is available from Cassardis. So it was double pointless.

It's your first playthrough - play it at your own pace and if you make mistakes then fine, but do it on your own terms, not because a retard gives you shit advice.

If you want to gain dcp without levelling try the cows in front of gran soren. If you want to level too then find a boss enemy that respawns after sleeping in the inn and go there every time. It's more about finding a good route that takes little time to get into fights.

hah, ive been playing over 20 hours, and ive just deleted my most recent save, going to go to sleep now and think on it some.

Problems i have include things like the fucking moniker system. Why is this even a thing on PC version? I feel like i have to make a name that goes well with the available options, or else just reside myself to playing one of the built in names. And making it all work well with my pawn is going to be a hassle too.

At least im getting pretty good at making nice female faces, some of the head shapes are really good if you mess with the other options some. Some faces look really bad unless you mess with the eye placement and all of a sudden they are qt

That actually isn't such a bad spot. There's even a place where you can sleep. Enemies are hard there though so be prepared. I mostly follow the path around gran soren. I take the exit near the farming fields in the city then:

>cross the road and take out the cows
>go towards the hill and take out the wolves and goblins
>go towards the 2 houses near the mine entrance and take out the goblins and spiders
>walk down the hill and take down more cows and goblins
>cross the river and take down the bandits
>go back into the city using the entrance where you enter the first time.

It's hard but not impossible. I did it as a Strider who didn't buy any weaponry or armour because I didn't know whether money was plentiful or sparse and also didn't invest in a single skill because I didn't want to "waste" the discipline points. If I can manage it like that anyone can do it.

In the tunnel, with the ogres, theres some switches that needs to be stod on. I do that, but the gates never opens? Checked online, and not sure what to do now.

And, some of the bonus items we got, should I just sell the monocle for 300k? I will be playing a sorc a little later on, but that kind of cash really help out at the eariler levels.
