Used cheat engine to give myself all of the abilities from every vocation and now I'm just playing with me and my main pawn. MK & Sorcerer on Hard. I'm taking a guess here, but I'd seen the pawn returns get hung up for a while on console before and eventually everyone got all their stuff. It just took hours and hours before Capcom straightened it out... sometimes you'd even have to just wait 'till the next day.

The nerf was overkill in my opinion, nerfing the night augment to 20% was fine but the solo augment should've been dropped only to 50% or so.

Should I focus on Ranger or Assassin? I really dig the archery in this game and going fast is fucking great.

Is it worth it to go a few levels as Mage or can you just jump right into Sorcerer?

I always find it hard to rate combat and helpfulness.

I mean, we won our battles, so does that mean the pawn is good at combat or that I am? It's not like I'm paying constant attention to what the pawn is doing while I'm hanging on to some ogre's back. Sure if a mage casts the wrong buffs on me I'll give them a low combat rating and give them a "needs more training" comment, but beyond that I haven't got a clue.

Honestly, the star system isn't exactly a useful measure of anything and it'll get thrown off in BBI because of Death. So if I like the pawn I give 5/5/5, otherwise I'll just end up brining them or something.

For gifts I try to find something genuinely useful. For BBI ready pawns it's easy, just hand out a cursed something. Before that though I just shoot from the hip, earlier today I gifted a knowledge scroll that I didn't need.

Sorry, was going to post this earlier, but I had to sleep for a few hours.

So, making a new steam profile and game sharing it to your main profile DOES let you make a new save, and you CAN summon your pawn from your other account.

Only hiccup is that unless you put $5 in your new accounts steam wallet or buy something worth at least $5, it'll be a "limited" account, and you can't add anyone to your friends list. I just bought some shitty $5 game to make the account unlocked. A small price to pay to be able to hire your own pawns and make a new save without having to hassle with save data and the possibility of a ban or getting rocked.

Can this game offer a challenge to someone who isn't a casual? I'm not very good at action games but most of them seem to be made for people who aren't very bright. The mildly challenging Zelda-for-adults Dark Souls was presented as some sort of a hardcore experience so I can't trust the press or the general public to answer this.

I never really bothered on console, but I might try and min-max this playthough... is it necessary? Surely there are some benefits regardless, right?

Is it me or does anyone else feel that playing Warrior is playing the game on easy mode? Every bossfight I just charge up my arc of deliverance and the boss goes down pretty easily.

My timing is okay retard. I even flash for a bit during my stagger. I can deflect chimera or small enemies easy, or dragons, but BBI Minotaurs just won't fucking stop staggering me. My other options are swift castle that is a bit too slow to recover and enhanced response which gets me hit in the air.

I need stamina to dodge by running or use a skill since again deflect gets me staggered anyway. I also need consumables to climb shit properly.

Except those dodges of course are worse and take a skill slot. Full Moon Slash isn't even proper dodge when it's so slow to recover and doesn't move you. It's not like daggers can't use shield anyway.

Clairvoyance. On many multi attack strings you get hit before you can recover into anything and after iframes have run out.

Great now I have to level up MK. It's Dragon forged Chimera Mark since I can't get better shields to 3 star and yet those fucking attacks still won't get deflected properly.

I am always light or average and the stamina takes around half a minute to refill anyway.

But assassin can block which is worse than roll anyway. And grappling enemies isn't very useful. It's not like other classes don't have skills like Broad Slash that could be just bound to the dodge button combo instead of either forgetting them or wasting a skill slot.

if the numbers here are to be believed then all shields have a hidden stability stat. Killing grigori as a fighter should get you the Dragon's Aegis which has 20~% more stability than Mark of the Chimera.

You're definitely going to need Periphery for those guys, but I know you can block them because that's how I fought them as Mystic Knight on PS3, riposted the shit out of them.

TL:DR if you get periphery and still can't block their attacks, you'll simply need to get a stronger shield.
