What is the proper resolution for a menuhax theme? Does it need to be different for O3DS and N3DS?

I've upgraded and re-downgraded for the third time now. Icons with no graphic are appearing on my home menu screen for a split second then disappearing. Are they holdovers from when I tried to install the FBI cia last time? how do i fix this?

Posting here again. I can't launch Project Mirai DX. I'm on 9.2 on a N3DS with Cakes CFW. It's a legit eshop title, and I can launch all of my other games fine.

Mirai just hangs at the 3DS splash screen.

The left hinge on my 3DS feels loose, when I push up on it it actually moves up, like, a fourth of a millimeter. Should I be worried? I've had this problem with the hinges of my last two 3DS XLs and both resulted in cracks, and one even resulted in the hinge completely breaking.

How do I put my save files back on my SD card after formatting and unlinking? I see in the "Backup" folder there are .sav files, are the save files? Do I just copy the Backup folder to my emunand folder?

I can just redownload the games from the eshop, I'm only worried about the saves.

When i add monster hunter 4 U into my CIA files, I can't boot up my emunand. Is this normal? I already have one other game and big blue menu in the cia files. Is it just a bad cia file?

I tried updating earlier. When I tried to boot after the update finished, it just stalled after the setting up your home menu prompt.

This is a wierd question hbg that I don't think a paste bin can answer. I'm helping my brother get cfw and we got to the emunand part. He was an idiort and using a 4gb card and it didn't have enough space to restore his backup after doing a complete emunand install. So he decided to switch out the 32gb card in his phone and use that for his 3ds.

My question is that we already did the complete install on his 4gb card, have everything backed up in a folder on his comp, and have an empty 32gb card. Do we have to run emunand tool now and copy his emunand from the 4gb card or can we just delete contents of 4gb card then restore backup to 4gb, Relaunch emunand9, switch sd cards when prompted, then restore backup to the 32gb card?

Is there any trick to updating N3DS to 9.5? I put 9.5.0-23U(Full)_n3DS's cias in the updates folder and it updates fine, but when it's done and reboots it's just a blank screen after the preparing your home menu.

Okay I need help guys. Not sure if I'm the only one who's experienced this.
I followed the retard guide to a T. Everything was great. I did it on a 4GB cause I couldn't find my other card and we were supposedly getting 10.4 the next day.
Found my other SD, then followed that thread on gbatemp on how to switch everything to a new card, everything was fine and dandy, shit works.
No matter what .cia I try, I always get an "error occured" message at a certain point in that particular game.
One .cia for SMTDSO kept giving me the message at the first fight scene.
The second .cia keeps giving it to me at the start of the game where you see the police racing to Aoyama or whatever.
A Luigi's Mansion .cia kept giving me the message every time it tried to load.

You did create a NAND.bin file, correct? I don't know how, but I know you can [work for patoofing over something] that to your sysNAND to restore it to the way it was before the format. Nah, if you've got a same region .cia installed and are on the o3ds you can use the eshop. Assuming your cia is 'legit' There're unpatched ones though I think that probably have issues when trying to install eshop updates.

The main issue with the other guides is that they have you take out your SD and system format instead of just using TinyFormat. This is the only reason NNIDs break and it's easily avoidable. I always call these guides out on this so I don't know why they didn't fix it yet.

I was told I can delete an installed game's CIA after the game has been installed.

If I fill up my SD with CIAs to the point where there's no space left and then try to install the games, will it work or tell me there's no space available? Or will I have to keep roughly half of my SD free so as to have half CIA files and half installed games of the same size of which I can delete the CIAs afterwards? Sorry if this sounds kind of confusing and/or retarded.

You don't need to keep your SD card "half full"
When your SD card is too full to install another game though, just delete it through the system settings. From there you can choose to backup the save data, so that you don't have to worry about transferring saves and stuff.

And if you want the game back, just put the cia file back on your sd card and reinstall it.

Set up a totally clean CFW SD card with no games but everything ready to go.

Use your PC to take a complete image of the card, then put that image onto a new SD card so that they're technically the same thing.

Then you can just swap them in and out.

FBI injection works perfectly if you use the right tools (Decrypt9WIP + Universal Inject Generator). You should be doing that anyway, even on O3DS. Injecting a recent FBI prevents that whole database error empty .db file copying bullshit.

The guide I'm recommending is the guide I wrote (and basically the only reason I use a trip)

You can use rxTools 3.0 on an N3DS but not 2.6. 3.0 is only available in unstable Nightly builds. It's up to you what you use, but if you want my help troubleshooting it, Cakes is the safer bet. I also think my guide is written better than most and would recommend using it even if you end up installing rxTools after the emuNAND setup.
