Should fix the extreme lag when saving as well as make mutants not spam. Added one variable to warfare_options.script - MAX_MONSTER_SQUADS which is set to 200 (23 active levels so something around 8 mutants per level if you don't kill them off and no one else does which is unlikely). Im the guy that made the radio mod (yoface720), what it does is spawn more radios in more places (pretty much every faction start point plus a couple of other hotspots like depot in Garbage now have a radio that plays music, it also includes the more radio music addon in the modDB page)

I also kinda copypastad a lot of playlists from previously existing ones, you can edit them to your liking, go to gamedata\configs\plugins\xr_sound.ltx and delete whatever file names you dont like or want to move elsewhere (you can find all radio tracks in gamedata\sounds\radio),
all radios are named after the smart terrain that they are in, so pri_monolith_radio, is monolith radio, cit_killers_radio is the Merc radio, among other things.

I'm also up for taking of requests of whatever songs you want in it, just send me a youtube link and whatever faction you want it for and ill make a patch for you quickly (due to shitty internet ill only be able to upload your patched version instead of the main one with the patching)

The all.spawn was also built around werejew's Warfare, it still MIGHT work even if you dont run warfare, as werejew didnt fuck with the all.spawn too much, but you might run into some strange things (I had to edit the all.spawn to get the radios to actually spawn)

Yes i am, I did that on purpose, as all playlists include all original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Guitar Tracks and the custom ones Anonguy used in CoCMod2.1, either wait for them to end (theyre on a random playlist and about 7 minutes or so long each), or just reload the save you make and itll play a different song. If you dont want to hear them at all, delete the following from gamedata\configs\plugins\xr_sound.ltx

On CoC+AO3. Yantar, got the psi helm from sakharov, go to X16 to disable the lab's psy-emitter. Zone in, "protection failure in 20, 19, 18, 17.." Dead. TFW is one of the very best mods for any of the games and is your only real option for 5. Just stay away from the crappy Anon Edition. It should just be deleted, it's a wart on a great mod.

If you just want to wander around and shoot shit with ok weapons, get CoC with STCSWP. But tasking in that game is basic and broken - you don't even get to see where you'll be sent before taking a task that blocks you from taking any other task until completed or fucked up.

The only real freeplay game in town of worth is still TFuckingFW if you want more than just a bunch of maps and alife.

1) I played through all three Stalker games after I bought them on a Steam sale 3 years ago with Complete mod because a friend told me it was the best mod.

2) I played through Clear Sky first because I figured since I have all three games, I should play them in order of the time line they take place in.

3) The only game I've beat vanilla is SoC and that was after a couple years playing with mods. I found it unpleasant, being spoiled with mods, and I had to force myself to complete it, just to say I did.

As always, make a backup of your gamedata folder, or at the very least your configs and scripts folders within gamedata.

RUN THE GAME FOR warfare_options.ini TO BE CREATED IN THE BASE GAMEDATA DIRECTORY, though its easier to edit settings via the main menu. axr_options.ini will control keybinds but I believe that the game must be ran for that to update as well. You can't change keybinds from the main menu currently, I'll add that for 0.6.1. You must edit the axr_options.ini file after running the game. There should be four warfare related entries in the keybinds (warfare_control, warfare_support, warfare_defense, and warfare_helicopter (which is not used for 0.6 but will be added in a patch tomorrow)

Just launch the exe. Don't even need to close it as far as I'm aware.

That should only be for resetting keybinds though. As far as I know, you should still be able to load old saves. Warfare options are best edited through the main menu just due to simplicity, but after you run it there should be a warfare_options.ini file in the gamedata directory.

The one on the mega 'AO3 for release CoC' is dated 10/28/2015 is the anon merge and is the same one slawr posted on ModDB but he updated himself. It's old, outdated and buggy and was made for CoC version 1.2.0.

All the other addons in the repo are from October. They are all outdated. Nobody should be using them.

I'm the one who posted the 'ammo fix for CoC' death_manager.script here. That was back in October. If you look in CoC death_manager.script line 121 is empty meaning he is using something extremely outdated probably tossed in by one of the addons.

When it was freezing I was using the same settings as in >>128600741 but with random starting levels enabled, but not all levels as random starts. It did work for Dark Valley, but the other three times I tried it froze. When I was playing around with all levels enabled, it worked for the CNPP and for Darkscape (although you spawn in a territory, not a base, so you're kind of fucked with Darkscape).

So registering squads simply makes it so that the factions will see those squads as being able to take orders. With it set to false, those squads will stay put for eternity.

If you want to see unfriendly squads, there is a show_unfriendly_squad option.

Also, I think I've found another issue.

Every now and then my faction will simply stop expanding; all of the uncaptured targets will disappear and I'll be left with just whatever smarts the faction has captured thus far. I think I figured out what's causing it, though. Sometimes, for whatever reason, you'll lose a squad from your home base, presumably because they get assigned to go and capture a terrain. This, I think, takes it below the threshold for it to remain captured.

However, in situations where it's your only base, such as what I'm in right now, this can mean that you can't spawn any more squads, I guess, so you're stuck.

I took this picture at a bad time because literally right when I hit f12, the target appeared at the home base, but for a solid ten minutes before then it was simply blank and I couldn't target it, either through inputting the smart or telling the faction to conquer the swamp.

Its just of the script heavy files from warfare with print statements enabled. Whenever it crashes, send me a log. Or if you encounter anything weird like mercs not doing anything, save it, quit (so the log gets created), and then throw it on pastebin or something for me if you don't mind.

This will make your logs larger. Hit tilde button to see the console and the information warfare is outputting, though you don't really need to.

Do you have zombies enabled? Are you just using random_starting_levels or are you using use_all_levels_as_starts?

I see one potential case where an infinite loop arises, but only if zombies are enabled, random_starting_levels is true, and use_all_levels_as_starts is false. I'll upload a fix soon for that. Do you have that configuration with those three variables?

Is it normal that ennemies can spawn right under your nose in Warfare ? I cannot conquer the Wild territory because dogs and Clear Sky members randomly appear behind a train. When my faction members finish looting the bodies, something else appears and it starts all over again.

Is Clear Sky close by? Or are they literally just spawning out of nowhere?

There are some level connections that were added in, like in Cordon near the tunnel under the bridge for instance, or in Marshes/Agroprom behind the military base.

It could be that its a point that they are coming from, and they are trying to take the territory. Make it so you can see enemy squads and check the bordering levels to see if clear sky is there. If so, that is very likely what is happening.

I'm going to be removing these so called cheat points soon enough, its just a very tedious process without the map editor, but the map editor is so god damn sensitive I'm not even sure I want to bother with it.

What a shame Pripyat's area was completely underwhelming. I remember it being my favorite segment in SoC and was excited to see how it'll be used in CoP. Jupiter tunnel mission hyped me up so much as well. It ended up being extremely short and extremely empty despite the size, and the finale was anticlimactic to add insult to injury. Well at least the slideshow was nice afterwards along with the credits.

Counterattacks you could look at as the AI calling in a defense squad to a base that is under attack or was just taken over.

When a base switches from one faction to a different one (or none), there is a chance that a counterattack will be launched. This chance is determined by the min and max counterattack chance, and it determines the value based on how many territory points you control. I may need to tweak them a little over time.

I'm thinking 0.7 is going to focus on making the AI a little more intelligent and actually weigh their decisions, decide when taking losses are necessary in preventing a larger invasion etc. Basically try to make the AI similar to how chess AI works, looking ahead and predicting their opponents. But I'll have to see if that causes too much of a performance drop.

Ending was a 10/10, don't get me wrong. It's the sequence leading up to it that was underwhelming. SoC's was amazing. The entire theme of the game is making it to the center of the Zone, and the NPCs, documents, and various other instances build up the center as fucking impossible to reach which is why nobody is there yet people come up with crazy rumors about it. So, the second you open up a way to the center everybody rushes into it. The entire ending sequence drives home the experience of the Zone: a chaotic clusterfuck sparked by different ideologies and motivations. Despite the actual number of NPCs being small during the Pripyat segment, the fact that the game states they're the first to show up and you only entered through one section heavily implies dozens of stalkers were around the area, and the constant firefights around you basically stated it was an all out war zone.

CoP's ending sequence was the tunnel mission on repeat, except the tunnel did an amazing job of getting the mood right: a handpicked, thoroughly equipped squad of companions heading into the unknown. The ending sequence was in a map you already explore heavily, and the enemies are just randomly thrown in your way save the Monolith ambush. On top of that, it was also shorter, so it felt less like a struggle and more like a hike.

You can now enable dynamic hit effects from the AMK Options menu if you want more difficulty, anon. These are from Smurth's mod, not the original AMK post-effect on hit option, but just as annoyingly hard to play with. The AMK post-effect on hit is a one-line config tweak if you prefer that.

I've also made electro-chimeras nerfable through that same menu (no electo surge on hit, 2m surge radius, default 20m surge radius). The default is still the AMK 20m range.

It's not a trivial merge, but not too complex either. AA2 has a separate script for it as I recall. If you do the merge, please share and I'll add it.

I didn't integrate the new items into the AMK stashes, an idea for the future. I'd like to add more weapons and ammo types, probably from OGSE since all other packs for SoC seem to be quite iffy. Would also like to add TKGP's cool BBB mod that adds wearable helmets to the game. That would be a good time to update stashes.

I tried to add a few OGSE guns on my own, but had big troubles with the arm meshes, which fucked up every time.
I just couldn't get shit to use the AA arm textures. It was either the OGSE arms or some fucked up mix of the two. But like I said, I tend to fuck things up.
That BBB stuff sounds pretty cool! I always wanted proper helmets in SoC.

Random content is extremely overpowered. In vanilla, you don't even check the stash. Even if it's on the same map and right in front of you. Only bandages, kolbasa and maybe a bottle of vodka. AA's stashes were great.

If you're on Windows 8 or 10, go to the properties for the XR_3DA.exe and into compatibility tab. Make sure Disable display scaling on high DPI settings is checked.
