Everytime I launch sysupdater, and press Y, it simply boots back into homebrew launcher and I have no idea what I must have to done to cause that. I downgraded my own n3ds without a hitch and never encountered this.

Thats pretty much it. I always recommend the gba guide because its not cluttered, its short, and it has direct links. Its the easiest way to homebrew. As for comparing cakes with rxtools, well, they are just different. Not a question of "which is better".

I've downloaded "sysUpdater" files and created a folder in my "Nintendo 3DS" SD folder.

I've extracted all the files in this new folder, starting the Homebrew Launcher and... THERE IS NO SYSUPDATER option.

Where did I go wrong?

I wrote a small guide after spending half a day figuring it out. I did this on o3DS running Cakes as CFW.
This assumes you have unlinked NANDs.

Before you can play GBA, you have to install a patch cia (only the very first time):s

> Run 3DNUS on your computer
> If you have an o3ds in the title ID box put 0004013800000202 and in the version box type in 3665, n3ds users put 0004013820000202 in the title ID box and 4816 in the version box
> Download the patcher (Old3DS_AGB_FIRM_v3665_SignPatcher.rar for o3ds and New3DS_AGB_FIRM_v4816_SignPatcher.rar for n3ds)
> open the patcher and patch the cia you downloaded with 3DNUS
> Install the patched CIA with FBI on sysNAND by booting through Pasta. Make sure to install on NAND (press L to switch)
> Install the patched CIA with FBI on emuNAND by booting through CFW. Make sure to install on NAND

You can get the necessary software on gbatemp (where I also got most of the instructions from).

To install actual games:
> Install CIA with FBI on sysNAND by booting through Pasta. Install on SD (default selection).
> Install CIA with FBI on emuNAND by booting through CFW. Install on SD.

If you have autoboot enabled, you use FBI through pasta by doing the following:

So I have a problem with my home menu theme data, and FBI is to blame. When I first installed my theme.cia, FBI fucked it up. That save is conflicting with my current uploaded .cia

It's causing my listed themes to be mixed up
And any time I open the eshop my themes are uninstalled

My health and safety icon disappeared and even using my NAND.bin doesn't bring it back.

Is there anyway to restore the health and safety icon?
