Well it's not that bad against heroes that have very high armor, especially now that Abyssal damage was nerfed. Not a particularly good item as a core item, but situationally worth it, especially in cases where you have to try and rat raxes over fights that you always end up losing thanks to game being 10-30 in the enemies favor. Not a common scenario, but sometimes you need to make moves like that.

Hey guys, bot coder dude here again.

After wasting the whole day, Techies bot has successfully learned how to lane. With a heatmap for player movements based on hero, time, and even MMR (all based on games where a Techies player was on the enemy team, to avoid skew towards rune spots), first blood is a near certainty for him now. Nowhere is safe.

He still has no fucking idea what to do after the laning phase, although he *can* determine when it is over or when to try and end it.

I'm also going to add demining countermeasures soon, since he likes the rune spots a bit too much.

try spectre. shes super squishy until she's farmed but she has global presence + vision with her ult. her ult is amazing and is what makes spectre ridiculous lategame. she has a nice attack animation and will teach you how to just right click creeps and not die in lane pretty well

If you didn't get quelling as starting item it's good to get it early in lane.

Sometimes the support is solo.
Sometimes the player isn't playing a hero that functions well as a position 5.
Sometimes finishing an item will be more helpful to the team than buying wards off cd (a Rhasta finishing his brown boots will be more useful during ganks than if he bought some wards the other support could've gotten this time).
