You're supposed to hold the outer two handles and shove the middle one up your ass for stability.

You have to remember, when they released this controller, analog wasn't really a thing -- people were use to d-pads. As a result, they were in the tough position, they needed to make it so that you could use either the d-pad or analog stick with your left hand. and if it were a traditional two-prong controller with the d-pad in a location like that found on the 360 or GameCube controller, it would be difficult for using for movement in more traditional games. It turned out that everybody ended up loving analog and the d-pad was barely used, but they had no way of knowing that this is how it would turn out at the time. It seems retarded in retrospect, but it made sense from the perspective of a new technology that Nintendo was unsure how people react to.

No idea why everyone hated this game so much. Probably because it couldn't possibly live up to the hype and was "offensive" if you were an overweight woman or homosexual. Personally, I thought it was pretty fun, albeit limited.

For me, Alundra is the game I always tell people to play. Awesome little PS1 action-adventure game in the vein of A Link to the Past. Great atmosphere and music, beautifully drawn graphics, genuinely difficult but fair puzzles and awesome overall gameplay.

Morrowind.

I also like to pretend the Hobbit movies don't exist.

Well they are basically all just people with swords and maybe some magic that look all kinda similar. Not as colorful as Hyrule Warriors.

Advent Rising

A third person action game which let's you dual-wield any weapon in the game: Be it plasma rifles or rocket launchers. You also get powerful abilities later in the game which kinda kill the difficulty mid-late game.

Get it if you like: Plottwists, Sci-Fi, Ideas over Execution
Don't get it if you can't stand technically shortcomings and cliffhangers with no sequel chance

Splatoon 2 may be up your alley. It's pretty community based, Not on PC though.

Gameplay clicks, it's kept interesting by communal choices and regular updates, etc.
