Some notes about buying from Lezhin. Currency is shared between the Android app and web version, but not the iOS app.

The prices are cheaper if you switch to the Korean store. Currency is shared between the Korean and English version. The easiest method of payment to buy from the Korean store that I found is to use PayPal, so I usually use the Android app and switch to Korean locale, buy coins, and then use the website to unlock teh chapters I want and download them.

I might include a couple of screenshots on how to do that without having language support on your phone. If you don't have Android, you can use Droid4x or another emulator. I've tested it with Droid4x and it works just fine.

Alright, so this is how I refill coins using Droid4x without bothering to install locale support. To switch the language settings, go to dropdown menu on the top left and then settings. The blank option that just says ( ) would be Korean for me.

After doing that, basically all text becomes blank, but that's fine. Access the menu again and go to refill coin (the icon with the c) and click that and choose to buy something.

The tricky part is after you select to buy something, it shows you this huge blank window. This is actually payment selection, but because I have no language support, everything is just blank instead. I have my Paypal linked to my Google Play account, so I click on the "top" payment option (the very top actually isn't clickable, so you might need to go down a bit).

Regarding my downloader you posted here.
I'll say a bit about it. The downloader is made in C# WPF and it still has a few flaws (mainly with korean special chapters since they don't use normal numbering but stuff like 'x1', 's1' or stuff)
Maybe i'll try fixing it if i feel like it sometime in the future.
If you find a korean special chapter missing after a batch download you can download it via manual single chapter downloading.
Before you download chapters of another language please make sure to switch the language settings on lezhin first by the way since the downloader won't be able to access chapters of a language you haven't configured as your current one.
Other than that it's pretty simple and can save you a lot of time since it's a lot quicker than manually saving chapters.
Just enter your data and the comic url in this format: http://www.lezhin.com/en/comic/herpet or chapter url: http://www.lezhin.com/en/comic/herpet/55 then select a path (for batch downloads it'll create subfolders) and a quality (if you want compression). You'll also need select wether you want to download a whole series or one single chapter.
If you create a file called 'lez.txt' in the apps folder with you mail on line 1 and pw on line 2 the app will automatically load the login data from there in case you don't want to always retype it.

I'm trying to understand the audience behind these comics. But I only got to read it up to a point when it become too much for me.
Also why Pulse was ranked number 1 when the story is really bad. Just like Lilly Love.
Probably the younger audience is boosting it cause the art is very nice and they probably care only for pretty lesbian porn. Story can go to hell.

It used to puzzle me how these type of stories were popular. But there is a reason.

Was browsing the Korean site and noticed that Ore ga Yuri is listed under the yuri section and that's been translated to english outside of lezhin. Interestingly, I was also browsing english lezhin and there was another genderbender title on there but it was just listed as general romance instead of GL. Maybe I should give Ore ga Yuri a read if Lezhin just doesn't toss every genderbender story into the yuri category.

Points=discount if you order through their website. Korean site gives you a better deal, but they only take JCB, Discover, American Express, or Diners Club credit cards if you don't live in Korea.
Wish they'd let us use discount points on the app, so we can use google payments.

Let me guess, Lezhin is either invite-only or thru application(portfolio)? What I mean is that I noticed that the site is clean/only have very professional works. That can only be done if they only allow skilled ones enter as creators either thru application(portfolio) or invites, unlike other hosting sites. Very nice decision on their part.

Well there hasn't happened a hole lot in terms of drama yet so I can't really tell you for sure.
The brown haired girl (forgot her name) does have some doubts about her gf and her gf's ex-boyfriend but it really does look like her gf doesn't have any interest in him anymore and actually kinda despises him.
If I had to judge I'd say in case there is gonna be some drama which will probably all be just misunderstandings if there really is, it's probably gonna be kept on an acceptable level.
For now it won't cause you any kind of anger and I think the author would have to fuck up incredibly big time to come anywhere close to how mad 'My joy' made me.

Chapters 1-35 are free at the moment with more to be released later on. The girl with the glasses is Yueun. The girl with the orange hair is Go Jun/Ginny. Yu-eun is main the protagonist (Hanmi's best friend) and shows up really early. I would recommend reading the free chapters just to see what her personality is like/get a glimpse into the character development since that's what really gets the series to tick for me. As for Ginny, her first appearance is in chapter 28 but she doesn't become relevant to the plot until chapter 41.

Ginny the protag's/Hanmi's/girl with red eyes' friend from her old school and was dating her older brother. She transfers to Hanmi's new school and starts some shit (ch.41-65). Yueun rats her out to protect Hanmi with results in Ginny getting beaten up (ch.65). Ginny/Yueun don't start of on the best foot but something gradually blossoms between them and they have great chemistry imo. I love stories/relationships where characters bring out the best in each other and change for the better.

Official synopsis is

lol lezhin is really bad at writing engaging plot summaries. It's kinda a slow burn between her and Lee Gun who's basically the biggest, most adorable/socially awkward dork ever. there's kinda darker story lurking behind the whole cutesy aspect which is that Hanmi and her cousin (Junhyuk) transferred schools due to something bad that's happened in her previous school which we don't fully know the details yet. Hanmi attracts trouble so there's also her trying to navigate her social surroundings/relationships with other people than just Lee Gun. this is where the series shines for me because all the characters are very well-developed and have a life outside of romance.

Hanmi isn't your typical shoujo/innocent girl protagonist for many reasons other than her rough exterior. There are moments when you see her act really shady/manipulatively so you're still trying to figure out who she is/what her intentions are. Lee Gun isn't all that he appears to be either and his backstory, along with Hanmi and Junhyuk's is still being revealed.

Most chapters are 1-2 coins to unlock, the newer ones are 3 so definitely give it a shot! Wholeheartedly recommend it. Yueun/Ginny are my favourite ship right now and that includes actual yuri series lol.

yea, the thing with (mainly) het series is that if there's a gay ship, it's usually side characters. we'll see how much traction it gets. secret brother does feature the side ship quite a lot i think there's positive feedback. in the author's character popularity poll hanmi is most popular among main chars and yueun and ginny is most popular for side chars so i have high hopes for their story/pretty sure we're not being baited (yueun basically confesses in ch.100 anyway if google translate serves me right). i know the author is a huge fan of root/show from person of interest and has some great fanart from that series.

I can certainly see how you don't like it though. It isn't really focused on the romance part and it feels a bit like the story went astray but i still kinda enjoy it.

Consumua and Sudutist is actually really awesome. The art style is very enjoyable and both the Girlfriend and Boyfriend both act like adorable otaku dorks.
As long as you aren't mainly looking for yuri I would recommend you to take a look at it.
The girlfriend and classmate sadly have only come into contact in 1 chapter yet but i think they would be compatible. Friend finds the classmate cute and classmate adores friend because she loves her works as an author. Hopefully more stuff will come out of it.

Yea, not sure about integral but i definitely think her role will be more important, for example her family history is being alluded to repeatedly (her and her dad, her difficult relationship with her mother).

Her and Hanmi had a falling out in ch.102-103 from the looks of it. Seems like Hanmi told the red-haired guy that Ginny only approached him for attention or something of the sort.

The name of the ch.102 is "she was betrayed again" (thanks google translate) and Hanmi says "I don't need you" in ch.103 which results in Ginny almost smashing her phone in ch.104. Then Ginny asks Yueun in ch.107 "if you had to choose between me and Hanmi who would you pick" and it's obviously a difficult choice for Yueun so Ginny makes the saddest face ever and says she was only joking. I'd really like to know what exactly happened between her and Hanmi or if it's just a misunderstanding/Seonghwa's doing.

I guess there might be a smart way to transcribe it into english but to be honest I can't think of a good one right now and it's not that bad to begin with.
If it's meant the same way in korean you should probably just keep it literal so it at least retains the meaning behind it (in this case degrading)
rather than just changing altogether and removing the meaning behind it.

Well if you really wanna get into translation seriously you might want a place to converse without anonymity
though again I have to say that I've seen much worse translations from certain groups so once again I have to say your level of quality is perfectly acceptable for you being a one man show.
I guess Discord would be more accessible for interested people since IRC would require you to install a client unless you wanna use some kind of shitty online one.
The best way to let people QC would probably be to just write the script into a txt before typesetting and putting it up on pastebin for people to check it if you ask me.
Whether you do that through /u/ or a private channel is your choice of course.

A translation question for you onee-samas!

Often there's lots of 'ㅋㅋㅋㅋ' in comics, which are usually just internet slang of giggling / laughing.

I usually just translate them to say "haha" but it kind of seems weird if everyone is laughing the same way, and the word seems... dry.

Or it's just the egg meme being stuck on my mind too hard.

In Fluttering Feelings, it was transliterated as kekeke from the 2nd translator since hahaha is 하하하, depending on the number. The first one used lol for short ㅋㅋ. If you really want to shorten it, you could use those. IMO, if it's sms, side dialogue (the small ones beside the main dialogue in a bubble) or lacking in space, shorten them; if main dialogue, transliterate.

Ah yeah it's a bit confusing, even for me!

So after Guk-hwa (black haired) was kissed by Jang-Mi (the silver haired girl) and left, the 3 comics are showing from each other's perspective for 1 day after a few days since that incident.

first guk-hwa left her work to go home, and saw Jang-Mi on the other train and tried to get off to meet her, while thinking 'why did I do that? the guy thing is already solved anyways.'

then on chapter 5, it's Jang-Mi's perspective.
She finishes working at her place, and gets pissed off because she keeps thinking about that fight about the guy. and..and..
FUCK I MIXED UP THE PAGES AGAIN

okay it's fixed.

yeah so she gets off work all pissed off because Guk-Hwa keeps popping up on her mind again, and is walking towards the station (where she will try to grab Guk-Hwa).

sorry for the constant mistakes.. if you still can't understand it, then I really fail as a translator..

but really, the comic themselves are pretty confusing, since they timeleap and perspective leap without so much a warning.

New chapter of White Angels is out. Author is being a tease. Literally nothing has happened in the last two chapters and I still want to know what happens next. Hope the author picks up the pacing again. It was perfect with lots of stuff happening every chapter until the last two chapters.

On a side note the title panel of Dahye holding the gift box like a camera is fucking perfect. I've always loved the panelling in this series.

Hello, korean translator here.
I would like to know your opinions.

I've done some blackbox hard translations, and I would like to know if people are okay with reading in blackbox translated version than reading a cleaned and typesetted version of the comic.

If majority wants cleaned and typesetted version of comics, then I will stop doing blackbox translations and try to actively get a cleaner for all the comics that I translate. I may hire a good typesetter, or just learn and do it myself.

If people are okay with blackbox translations, then I will continue doing them. I will put my contacts on the bottom of the comic so that people can take my translations in txt and clean and typeset themselves.

blackbox is more of a rushjob and bad, but much faster. Cleaned version will take much longer since it depends on multiple people.

It's going to be a small poll, but it'd be great if you could give your opinion.

Quality checking on my translations takes time, so even though I have a lot of chapters translated, it would be better to wait than use my raw translations because it gets very confusing.

For cleaning, I'll have to ask the person that cleaned another series for me if that person is willing to clean 'It'd be great' series as well. If that person can't, then I'll have to find another cleaner here or somewhere.

For typesetting I'll do it, or that person may do it.

If it's my translations, I understand, it's not the best and may need lots of look-overs to be on-par with official english translations. When the comic gets cleaned and I need to put in the translations again, I will do another thorough check of all the translations.

Right now the translations are done up to chapter 10, and I will continue to translate up to the latest chapters (18) and I will also buy the new chapters (if I can, korean websites have difficult payment system that isn't accessible overseas) to complete the whole series when I reach that point.

... What do you mean 'release it properly online'? Other than me uploading the finished version to Imgur and Megaupload, I don't really plan to really make it public.

However, if you wanted to upload it to your own website or social network, go ahead.
