Here's what I think:

mask bully told Gayoon that Soha's ever helped her was that she looked like her old dog.
Probably wanting to make her believe the fact that if she didn't she probably would've never done anything about Gayoon getting bullied or something like that.
The last free korean chapter shows that Gayoon actually told her to just leave her alone when she got bullied by Yurim again which kinda assures me that's what the maks bully told her. Since Gayoon actually likes Soha it must be kind of helpful to get attention from her solely because of her looking like Soha's old dog. Gayoon kind of knew that all along but i think mask bully mocking her about it probably was the last drop it took to make shit hit the fan.
Maybe i'll post the korean chapters up to 66 laters. All I can say right now is that 66 has another fucking awful cliffhanger but Soha seems to realize she hurt Gayoon a lot since she's actually apologizing in the last panel.

Gayoon reminded Soha of her dog, that was it. Since Soha had just lost Happy, she always looked at Gayoon which is why Yurim chose her to bully.

In this chapter Gayoon is realizing that Soha had nothing for her from the beginning, she didn't even recognize her from middle school, and the reason everything up to this point happened to her is just because she looked like Soha's old dog. Seems like Soha is finally starting to realize that she likes Gayoon and not dog she's playing as in chapter 70.
The picture shows her taking the collar off after Gayoon put it on to go back how things were telling her she's Gayoon and Happy is Happy.

May be possible in a less violent way but I guess it works.
If you check the later korean chapters you'll see that she gets what she deserves soon enough.

Interesting that in chapter 59, Soha thinks about how much she missed cuddling with Gayoon, and refers to her as "Gayoon" rather than as "Happy". I wish Gayoon knew that Soha was thinking of her that way.

I think Soha likes being dominant and giving orders to her partners, but she's thick as a brick so she'll never realize that about herself unless Horang takes pity and spells it out for her.

Gayoon doesn't seem like she likes being submissive? There were clearly a handful of aspects of the pet play that she liked but I think her ideal sexual/romantic setup would be picking those parts out (for example, biting) and losing the rest. It's certainly a more satisfying and happy ending than the atrocity that was 'My Joy' by the same author.

I actually really like Soo and Sol as the "MC's best friends + advisors" types. If their subplots had been given a little fewer chapters, or Gayoon and Soha had been more active during the Soo/Sol plots, or the pet play in the first 20 chapters or so had been spread evenly throughout the entire series, I think I would REALLY like this comic and it wouldn't have provoked the extreme disappointment and backlash I've been seeing here.

'Her Pet' isn't really as bad as 'My Joy' at all.
The Yurim part might've gone a bit overboard but overall I can tell you that you'll enjoy the ending a lot more than 'My Joy's one even though it might feel a bit rushed.
I haven't of course seen the english version of the ending yet so that's just judging from the illustrations and rough translations + it's just my opinion.
Basically:
My Joy: Fucking infuriating ending
Her Pet: Happy ending

Concerning the last few korean chapters:
Soha snaps and beats Yurim to a pulp one last time.
Soha seems to have realized that she treated Gayoon badly and seems more than apologetic.
Afterwards Soha goes through a bit more stuff ( Some kind of shit with her mother which rough google translations can't really make any sense of + self loathing).
Then Gayoon tries to talk it out with her one more time using Soha's handkerchief that she still has to give back as a pretense.
The talk pretty much ends with Soha trying to cut her ties with Gayoon thinking it would be the best for her (since Yurim apparently started bullying her in the first place because of her contact with Soha).
Gayoon goes after her talking some more shit I can't tell you what it means.
And in the end they get back together + they get 2 dogs and everything is rainbows and sparkles. As I said the ending kind of comes a bit abrupt and leaves you a bit stumped.
Oh and in the last chapter Soha's black haired friend which I forgot the name of has one more conversation with Yurim's friend which I also forgot the name of. No idea what it's about but it's there.

Imagine it this way.
You're sitting inside of an airplane for the first time and don't know what to expect.
You're still on the runway when the plane slowly begins to accelerate and while taking off you're beginning to think 'Huh, this is pretty nice actually'.
But then you notice that the plane slowly starts losing altitude again. The rate at which it's dropping starts to rapidly increase and before you know it, the plane crashes and everyone who was inside the plane dies a horrible death in the fiery wreck who hasn't already got smashed to shit by the impact itself.
I'm not gonna talk about the story directly but that's roughly how the story goes described in a metaphorical manner.
