Am I the only one not really enjoying this? The first season was ok, but I can barely get through the second season.
It only goes downhill from there
1st is very good, comfy
2 is also awesome, balls to the wall crazy mix of genres and solid plot structure
3 had the elements to be great, mainly the cast and concept, but the writing was abysmal, dropped it after that

If you don't like it just leave it behind. Personally I liked 1 & 2. But you'd be doing yourself a favor to leave it in the bin.
Nothing worthwhile comes from watching that show it's just the typical glorification of evil and women being in charge.

This is what's killing film.
Just watch more independent/foreign films. Helps quite a bit.

>film studios are still releasing movies exclusively in theaters first and then waiting a long time before releasing it on streaming services
When will studios begin simultaneously releasing movies on streaming services the same day they premiere in theaters?
>black girl, white guy
what did they mean by this
When movie theaters either stop paying them enough money not to or streaming companies do pay them enough money to do so

>main character is likable and has relatable problems

Nice Pepe image. What is this, 2014?
>main character is a washed up shadow of his former self
>main character gets roped into situation that forces him out of retirement
>it is a hard journey and the main character gets his ass kicked and loses everyone close to him at every turn
>nothing goes right in the end and the main character dies having learned nothing
>protagonist is a woman
>despite being a woman, protagonist has personality that isn't merely an embodiment of the surrounding pop culture

Alright, listen here boys. From the day it was announced that the release of Avatar 2 was pushed from Dec 2018 to Dec 2020 I knew that Cameron would include Terminators in his new sci-fi universe. No, probably not the entire backstory with Skynet and John Connor and all that, but just the Terminator. Just the machine. Remember that T2 future war opening scene? We will get that on Pandora, except it's gonna be humans and Terminators against everything Pandora fights back with.
Why did the release date change make me think that? Because...
>Franchise creator James Cameron — who has stayed on the sidelines since directing the first two classic films — is the beneficiary of changes in copyright law. Basically North American rights to the franchise revert back to him in 2019. That is because the copyright reversion now takes place after 35 years, and The Terminator was made in 1984.
http://www.slashfilm.com/james-cameron-regains-terminator-rights-in-2019/
But then why 2020 instead of just 2019? Because with that huge addition Cameron will have to rewrite tons of stuff to properly introduce them in the Avatar universe and to properly utilize them in scenes. With that addition you can write some new kickass action scenes.
"But wait!" you say. "That's still really farfetched."
Yes, it is. But that's not all...
Not even a week ago we got the news that the man himself, James Cameron, will produce Terminator 6.
http://screenrant.com/terminator-6-arnold-schwarzenegger-james-cameron/
What? James Cameron, the man whose been living and breathing for the Avatar sequels for almost a decade now is gonna take a break from that to produce the sixth movie of a franchise which he once described with the words 'the soup's kind of been pissed in.'? According to the news it's not just gonna be a sequel. It's gonna be a reboot. Reboot in what way? In a way that would make it possible to meld the Terminator universe and the Avatar universe? In a way that would make it possible to have Terminators appear in the Avatar sequels?
Let's summarize:
>The Terminator rights will revert back to Cameron in 2019
>Avatar 2 has been pushed back from 2018 to 2020
>Cameron will produce the next Terminator movie even though he's had no desire whatsoever to do so in the past and even though he's up to his neck in work for the Avatar sequels
Why would Cameron, a workaholic and perfectionist and Avatar fanatic to the core, drop his Avatar work to work on Terminator 6? Because it will be the connection between the two universes.
>>83229243
>Durr everything needs to be in the same universe
>>83229386
Terminator back in the hands of Cameron would indeed be a reason to celebrate.
Some of us have notice Keanu Reeves' tendacy to star in films that express some deep philosophical/religous truth about the world
>Matrix
>The Devils Advocate
>Scanner Darkly
Recently John Wick 2 gave us a glimpse of the behind the scenes of the Criminal underworld.
>John Wick exists in a world where gold coins are the currency
>The Continental hotel serves as a neutral base for Hitmen
>Continental hotel in Rome's manager asks John one question "Are you here for the Pope?" John says no
> Oddly placed scenes and eerily worded dialogue in scenes of Roman Pantheon of gods
>The concept of secret order of Assassins in relationship to religous institutions show clear connection to modernity of Roman power
>>83229116
>scene of painting where John and Santino show the failure of Roman empire to expand through overt military force
>serves as basis for the existence of secret orders, in modern age overt power is obselete.
>>83229116
What the fuck are those coins even worth? In one scene he uses one to pay for a luxury hotel room and in the another scene one get used to buy 2 drinks at a bar.
>>83229209
The coins have to be presumed in the range of $1200-1500 each, I'm assuming drinks comen with the room, but it's custom to tip your mercenary bartenders very well especially considering how much you want them to shut up about your murdering.
