Just kidding, this was hot garbage

>dogfighting was garbage, no evasive maneuvers AT ALL, planes fucking fly in formations not in 2s and 3s
>Planes flying at low altitude like this is an arcade game of WarThunder
>CIVILIANS DIDN'T FUCKING DRIVE THE BOATS NAVY OFFICERS DID
>in the boat scene, bullets can't go through water
>pilot somehow didn't lose energy when he turned around with no gas to shoot the bomber
>Retard pilot doesn't land near the British or at least bail out
>no character development at all, I don't give a shit about any of the characters
>biggest sin - it was BORING
My god I didn't expect much but this was just GARBAGE

t. complains about le arcade game
No you retard they didn't pull crazy evasives because this isn't an arcade game. Pilots are limited by their own comfort via G forces and stuff, they wouldn't pull too many crazy stunts like in le arcade game, not to mention stalls. This is especially considering most RAF pilots were quite inexperienced at the time, while to be fair the Luftwaffe was rather underwhelming. Ever watched any gun cam footage? The movie is quite similar to that. Also large formations weren't really a thing for the RAF to go across the channel. They had to protect a lot of airspace, and with foreshadowing the long ranges they had to travel, likely had to spread. There's a reason we didn't see Hurricanes or whatnot. Also I'd like to praise Nolan for having the Spitfires fly in the vic formation, which was their standard in the RAF at the time. However the Germans were not seen in their standard Rotte and Schwarm formations, which might have contributed to their lackluster performance.
>Planes flying at low altitude like this is an arcade game of WarThunder
I don't know, how does anti shipping work? You're gonna bomb from super high up so they can evade right? Oh wait. Hey those Spitfires are intercepting anti-shipping bombers. Also to be fair I'd expect the Ju 87s to be running anti-shipping and the He 111s to hit the stationary targets on the beaches.
>in the boat scene, bullets can't go through water
>pilot somehow didn't lose energy when he turned around with no gas to shoot the bomber
actual legit complaints
>>85590499
Swaying side to side is not evasive maneuvering. There wasn't anything even as simple as putting your normal vector on your enemy. Now I accept that RAF fighters would fly in small columns but German formations would have been large. Who sends out a single heinkel with one or two bf109s? Aleo having heinkels bombing ships is beyond retarded, they would have gotten ripped by AAA. Moreover, I don't expect the planes to go to space but flying near sea level is retarded
This looks like a fucking Saturday morning cartoon. I guess we have indeed hit the point where video games look more life-like and realistic than movies.
>>85325157
You will one day realize that Saturday morning cartoons was the happiest and most blissful thing in your life and you will never feel that feeling again
>>85325157
>This looks like a fucking Saturday morning cartoon
Is that supposed to be a bad thing? A movie about Hulk and Thor teaming up and having space adventures is hardly a premise that calls for a somber and realistic tone.

>This looks like a fucking Saturday morning cartoon.
(enthusiastically) yeah!
Why is there no Dunkirk thread?
I thought /tv/ were huge Chris Nolan fans.
>that almost total lack of CGI
>them close-angle shots
>those realistic, loud-as-fuck, gun/bomb/etc. noises
Also, what the fuck was with that Al Gore 2: Electric Boogaloo trailer? It was such obvious anti-Trump, globalist BS.
Nolan is a good director if you are under 15

I like the first alternate scene but very glad they changed it in post. The version we got backs up Bill's point of her life not being all about the Doctor (refreshing), the Joy Division track is great and Capaldi must have loved it, and it just plays into the scene better IMO, the sort of montage they cut it as.
Well its pretty much done, they'll be premiering the movie on December 1st. That's a real shame, do these nips not understand that live adaptations are complete shit. I just wanted a continuation of FMA:B but I guess this is what
we'll get. Its like no adaptation ever works out, whether having nips or burgers play the cast. Come on, you guys got to have an opinion on this shit
