Where did they get cherry tomatoes in Gondor?
tomatoes were not introduced to europe until the 16th century.
And judging by the technology/culture of middle earth, they had not yet reached the analogous time frame.
where did they get dragons in middle earth?
Gondor isn't in Europe

>The Thing is arguably the greatest movie ever made.
no lol. It's a good horror movie but that's it and the reason it's a good horror movie is because of the practical effects but comparing it to all movies in general it's just good. The people who think otherwise well, they don't know anything about cinema then. It's a great horror movie don't get me wrong. But compare it to masterpieces like citizen Kane or Schindler s list and it's nowhere near them. If you think this ranks alongside Citizen Kane, then you clearly haven't seen enough movies to know when they are goat or not.

But it is very fun to experience. It is not really supposed to be the greatest film ever but some may say it is, they value enjoyment over other things
Oh yeah. That's what I'm talking about

The Iron Fist improved so much during The Defenders. Still shitty but better than he was in Iron Fist season 1

Worst part of The Defenders. Finn Jones is a shitty actor and the Iron Fist effect is terrible (as evidenced by the video)
>>86738692
It's more the actor's fault now than the character's
The writing and dialogue was good for Danny in Defender's but Finn Jones is still shit. Here's hoping he dies and Colleen gets the Iron Fist

Let's discuss ravens, dragons, owls, wizards and time.
In GoT, a lot of people, especially in the last episode, had a beef with how long it took the raven to get from the Wall to Dragonstone. Well, this is a show with magic, that uses birds as messengers. So, these birds would work best if they didn't need to sleep or eat, or if they could fly a lot faster than your average raven. Why can't people just accept that messenger ravens have magic that gives them a speed boost, or the ability to go without sleep, food, or landing, for long periods of time. So, messages can go a fuckload faster than the 50 mph or so that a raven can normally fly, and a fuckload farther than a raven can normally cover in a day. I don't see why people have a problem with this. Don't tell me they don't explain it in the show. That's like saying they need to explain how the mail works. Just accept that it does. In Harry Potter, no one really bitched that owls can fly all over the place in a day, or that they can find the person they're flying to. It's just magic. Dragons can also probably fly pretty damn fast as well.
tl;dr - A wizard did it. Literally.

Why can't they invent email via magic? Or send information direct to peoples brains via magic? Or via your moms farts? It's magic you ain't got to explain shit.
fuck off Tycho, your comic has been shit since 2004

Shit film
A shame. It was plenty enjoyable, with some great moments.
>"Luke did I ever tell you that ONLY a Sith deals in absolutes? That part of being a Jedi means that you can NEVER love because love ALWAYS causes a person to fall to the dark side. That you will HAVE TO abandon any familial ties you have for the same reason. That having any individual thoughts such as that maybe from your point of view the Jedi are evil is ABSOLUTELY the path to the dark side of the force - which we all know for sure each member is without doubt, regardless of individual case, TOTALLY EVIL because they embrace their emotions? I remember someone who once had doubts like these but I cut off his limbs and left him to burn in agony because he wasn't absolutely sure of his feelings like I was. He later built a castle in this spot, I suppose it was to host his good friends."
>I remember when I also shouted at Anakin and told him to leave his partner and when he objected and said he couldn't leave her to die I shouted at him even more and lead him into an unwinnable fight where he lost his arm, he was a good friend
>>86738315
I honestly think Lucas is retarded.
>>86738744
I never understood while watching the prequels that expressing your emotions was a "path to the dark side" or any of that shit, you're supposed to just bottle it up? That shit's dangerous
