Better adventure movie than a horror movie. The kid actors were the best part. Replace that faggot CGI clown with Tim Curry or similar performance and this movie would have been 10/10
>girl's friends find out she has an incestuous relationship with her father, gets shared at school/ social media
Any movies with this plot yet?
Not horror but Third Person has a similar thing going on

All three of those stories seem unrelated unless Olivia Wilde is supposed to be Liam neeson's daughter
>tons of camera tricks to make the scene look like a terrified person's POV
>focus on the plot instead
ITT: Movies that you walked out on, and why
All memes aside
i stopped watching the film right that second
excellent post numale
Truly a profound and often misinterpreted ending shot, in which Radcliffe is seen trying to escape at high velocity, but to no avail, the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises. Seriously each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody, just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the books were good though
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."
I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.
So what does /tv/ think of American Psycho?
But first check these dubs

Do Americans put their country in movie titiles so they never forget where they live?

Guys I know the memes are funny and all but can we start discussing movies once and a while. I'm tired of fucking masturbating about who has the best taste. This place is becoming /b/ with the amount of posting about which actress we want to fuck. Also for people who claim to hate blockbuster films you faggots can't stop talking about them. Pleb much? CAN WE JUST HAVE DISCUSSION ABOUT ONR FILM AT A TIME!! FIRST POST IS ALWAYS
>it sucks
GO FUCK YOURSELF WHY EVEN POST IN MY THREAD.
That is all.
Your biggest faggot,

it's surprising because most bearded men are hiding ugliness underneath
Is that real life? Why would God make such a fine specimen and then give the rest of us what we have? Simply a joke.
HOLY SHIT PEOPLE'S FACES LOOK DIFFERENT WHEN THEIR BEARDS ARE GONE?!?!?!?!?!?!? THIS IS A REVELATION
>/tv/ ACTUALLY believes that people are being paid to post on an anonymous forum with no permanent archive about how much they enjoyed a critically acclaimed movie that broke several opening records
Top. Fucking. Kek.
The delusion is real.
>>87541127
You don't understand how Hollywood works kid.

>post on an anonymous forum
Makes it so much easier to hide astroturfing
>no permanent archive
Not true but not really relevant either

Why do people reply to this weak ass bait

I think refn’s wife is doing something to him. In his early years he was clearly a chad. He’s 6’2” and made some movies that seemed more in line with the way he talks about movies, so he should be a chad. Then his chin started to disappear and transfer to his wife, and then this he’s literally walking around a store going, “mommy can I buy this please?”
>>87540676
The video is the example of asking his wife about stuff that I was taking about.
You are on to something
>>87540676
>Then his chin started to disappear and transfer to his wife
holy fuck my sides

I'm starting to come around and feel hope again for Blade Runner 2. I hope it's a thriller in the vein of Prisoners, and I can just ignore the fact it's a sequel to a kino classic
>>87540494
Same. Trailers can be deceiving like Ghost in the Shell was that made me believe it was an action flick but there hardly was any action in the actual full length movie so hopefully this is the same and is more dialogue and drama focused like the Leto clip released on youtube
wow everything is teal and orange brava deakins brava
>>87540494
Are they proud of that acting and dialog?
For real?
It's shit.
