I was playing Bionicle: the Mask of Control with my family the other day. As usual I picked my favorite character, Umarak the Hunter. I created the Discord to extrapolate on our community in the hopes to maintain the relationships of it's members and thus the threads themselves and the results speak for themselves.

As for the contest, there are logs of me getting after people who only post their submissions in the Discord. I don't care of you only post your submission in thread/join the Discord or not so long as I can contact the winner to ship them their prize mask from Mask Maker Anon. You can make a temp account to private message me just for this contest for all I care. This was just the simplest solution for a potential problem as Mask Maker and I have put both time and money into these contests just to keep the community active.

Well, it's over. I've tried to hold on with you guys but there's just no point anymore. A few parts in the mail and I'll be done with Bionicle. I've gotten my grails, I've built JtO Makuta, and I've done nothing but sit back and watch Lego pull farther and farther away from Constraction to the point where I have no hope for it anymore outside of shitty Star Wars Ultrabuilds. There's no fun anymore. These contests you guys are doing, while I can see the love and effort put into them, for me just make me feel sad. Sad to see that we need to have contests or obsess over shit like TTV's G3 project or Cyberhand's custom masks just to keep the interest in the hobby. And I don't really care for moccing anymore due to the time I could be using for other things. Even with my System collection I've begun to stop buying sets, but now I see bricks and minifigs crack and realize that Lego itself as a whole has just fallen so far in quality in recent years. There's nothing to look forward to at this point. My relationship with Bionicle and with Lego has simply become checking on my figures and hoping that I don't see cracks developing as time goes on. It just sucks guys. Transformers is the only remaining piece of my childhood alive right now, and even then I don't even collect the toys, so I really do have nothing now aside from longing for the better times and watching Bay's clusterfuck of a film franchise.

I think I'm going to give /toy/ a break for a while. Maybe 4chan alltogether. It's just too depressing coming here and just feeling like shit for what won't come back. It was fun on /biog/, guys. Every leak, speculation, revamp, all of it. I love you autistic shits. See you later.

The Discord has 250 members, and you're asking me to close it just because you arbitrarily hate it? Interesting that you quoted someone from it but I digress.

The Discord kept the threads alive during the death of G2 and it will continue to as it was meant for. I have put alot of my time into keeping /biog/ alive and now only recently have other people created threads on their own volition and I'm proud of that.

The Discord has also been successful at reinforcing the community long term by giving anons a means to connect with each other on other topics, interests and even playing vidya. It has also acted as a crossroads introducing people to the threads.

I'm not interested in cleaving this community of which I tried to keep alive as best I can just so you don't have to see a Discord link in the OP.

Regardless of how you feel about me, I'm not letting this place die and the Discord has been a successful means to my goal, make no mistake, I'm aware of the minimal divide between thread and Discord but it's inconsequential as 90% of the discussion pertains non Bionicle discussion but it still retains it's culture.

50/50. I like a number of story and world building ideas, and the sketches look good. The Toa redesigns are a great balance between G1 and G2.

Dumping the constraction aspect and making Bionicle into another System theme, however is fucking idiotic. The minifigs do look good, but I can't accept it.

I've also read about some pretty idiotic story concepts. They were about to finally revamp the Elements system, which made no sense in G1 and G2, only to drop that and going with the retarded Earth/Stone separation again instead. I also don't enjoy the focus they're putting on the Vahi and the Bohrok again, the former should just be forgotten because time travel in fiction sucks, and the latter can only work in G1.

Maybe I spent too much time with bionicle artists back in the day, but thinking of it as a progression of ekimu done in the moc style of popular 2d bionicle art styles makes perfect sense to me. "I wanted the story to progress and Ekimu to fully realize his power with the full "Master of _____" title" makes perfect sense to me. I like the jacket. It looks cool. I don't entirely agree or disagree with the silhouette complaint, looking through his flickr he hasn't been super active the past 2 years and his last 3 are a clear progression of ideas, and before that it's a dragon and a thicc spacesuit lady. For a main villain, Teridax is ironically one of the least edgy villains. G1 had a bunch of giant edgelords like The Shadowed One, Nidhiki, Karzahni, Tuyet, any Piraka (especially the faggot Hakann and Vezon), Pridak, Vultraz and Velika. You said to exclude the Makuta, but you can't forget Vamprah and Gorast. I still liked most of them, but most villains that were hit with the Greg stick ended up as edgy. Basically any version of bionicle heroes is worth looking into in my opinion. The GBA version is a neat adventure game, the DS version is a good Metroid Prime Hunters ripoff, and the console versions are decent third person shooters.

I think it mostly suits. The artbook Olisi is great in how it looks made of scratch (which is missing in the sketch) but I'm not a huge fan of its huge smile for how little subtlety it leaves. Karzahni is a creepy but polite psychopath, not an in-your-face asshole like for example most Piraka.
Now that I realize it, that sketch is probably inspired by set Karzahni's mutated mask. But still, it gives off that sense of subtle creepiness and insanity more so than the artbook and set depictions.
I'm torn about the colours though. Tan is an interesting choice because it makes him look like a statue or an old corpse, but my favourite Karzahni colour scheme these days is blue and green.

With the serials, he no longer had that leash on and could write pretty much anything he liked. And since Greg was a huge comicbook fan, he turned Bionicle into "Pretty much capeshit with cyborgs".

As I said the torso is fucked up, I'll remove the armors and see if there isn't any other way to make it, it currently just stands with rubber bands to hold the shoulders but there must be a way to optimize this.
Oh and idk if it is supposed to be like this but his joints are all very loose, I will add hf friction adders to see if it makes any difference.

Depends on a lot of things, their time ability would just get nullified by each other but dio has a powerful punching ghost stand and Voporak is basically a living The Grateful Dead, so the one who suprises the other wins.

Any Britbongs still here? Haven't posted since it was announced G2 was getting canned, finally decided I want to get rid of most of my G2 shit.
Anyone interested in buying wave 1 and wave 2 off me?
After adding up how much both waves cost me it comes out at around £235 but I need money and really I'm fed up of being reminded how much of a failure G2 was so I'll sell the lot for £150-160 if anyone's interested. That's not including postage obviously, I can send them by courier which would be roughly a tenner.

I'd rather not send internationally but if you're in the EU or US and would be willing to pay the postage I'll consider selling to you. I've kept all the boxes and instructions so you'll be getting those too.

This, the body looks fine, impressive even, but the face is creepy and uncanny. Why the eyelids, lips, eyebrows and nose? I hate humanized Bonkles, but this half-humanization is just as off-putting.
