Speed Champions is such an odd theme too me.

Way to many stickers and designs that are 7/10. If your medium is interconnecting bricks of all colors and you want vehical length stripes, build it.

Disappointing, but rewarding to rectify.

Also the gt40 is nearly perfect, the new GT however, is abysmal.

If I make a combiner, it will probably be the way megazord toys are. I kinda like the idea of putting together combining parts around the scale of Dimensions vehicles, but I think those might be TOO tiny.

I might also do something with fewer than five parts to start with: In my headcanon, the group started with Royce, Beth and Mikey (Red, Blue and Green) and then added Claude and Gina (Black and Yellow) somewhat later, kinda like in Engine Sentai Go-Onger, which started out with Red, Blue and Yellow, and added Black and Green later.

Whatever I come up with, they'll probably be like classic Japanese combiners: Big blocky elements that combine into a big blocky giant robo.

Buy used if your that desperate for the Klocki. I buy 20-30 lb. tubs for between $50-$100 every time I have the urge. I get everything including Star Wars, Batman, Harry Potter sets mixed in. Sometimes I get almost entire sets still assembled mixed in. Now and then I sell some of the figures and make most if not all of my money back. I like to build freestyle and MOC modulars. Yeah, my primary army is Battle Droids, but that also means I've ended up with a various assortment of Clone Troopers.
Naturally I also acquired a few OT Stormtroopers as well as the First Order Transport, so I just made them one continuous Peach Empire.
This also ironically means I now have a small Peach Resistance to oppose them as well.

It does take a while to sort. I sort specific pieces like tiles and hinges and other smaller pieces into small drawers. Other more common brick I will sort by color and put in larger Sterlite tote/drawers like red 1x2 1x4 1x6 etc. That's easy enough to grab what I need when building.

I'll buy enough to almost overwhelm me because I know sorting will take a while. I also like to keep a tub or two mixed to get the creativity flowing. Sometimes seeing everything mixed gives me an idea I would not have necessarily had otherwise.

I think the perfect example of license-shit getting high prices for no reason is the new UCS Death Star. It has around 4016 pieces which would be almost perfect for a $400 price, but instead they slapped on an extra $100 for no reason.
