Thread Challenge:
Put figures on baseplates, in rows.
>>6271001
idk... that task sounds like a huge challenge
Also: What do you guys think of this set?
Any tips on hair piece, torso, face to use to make this guy?
>>6271001
>Put figures on baseplates, in rows.
I have this strange urge to talk about trains.
>>6271047
You have a lot of girl figs, my dude
>>6270933
Reposting for the anon who asked for it
>>6271050
Almost as many as guys now that I bothered to count; the discount dimensions packs contributed
Fleshies anyway, the yellow kind is a countless horde.
>>6271060
It's a nice build and worth sharing again.
>>6271077
I almost exclusively have star wars sets, so i have around 3 girl figures
>>6271008
I like it a lot. I wish it had a bit more room in the troop bay and a second seat in the cockpit, but still a nice set.
Will anyone of us be as awesome as Zazinombies?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgmiQ3tz6BA
Even its nick is amazing.
I really hope I will get this set on sale.
I want it only for figs and that cute stone monster.
>>6271060
saved!
FAMER WOJTUŚ! What is his name?
If you have none may I suggest Woj the Rancher?
>>6271047
>>6271050
This inspired me to take a photo of all the ladies I have scattered throughout my displays
It ended up as a lot of redheads, I don't know if that's lego's fault or mine
>>6271086
I couldn't even name three...
Rey... Leia.. and I remember some green and blue Twi'leks?
>>6271020
Found a pretty good torso
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb1388#T=C&C=5
Look through the LotR/Hobbit, and elves sets for hair pieces
>>6271161
I think I remember that house from a post you made.
That's the one with the modern art piece in the room, right?
>>6270994
and done
By tomorrow I should have space to build shit again!
>>6271183
yeah, I was going to finish it this weekend but then stuff came up
Also I need more bricks
>>6271161
love that ninja vampire.
>>6271119
SAME
Hey a CMF wave that I don't give a shit about for once
>>6271219
Sweet! More of the rest of us!
>>6271219
Same, except for 1 hair piece and maybe that bunny.
Feels good
WIP
>>6271219
Really? Not even one fig or accesory?
The Hot Dog seller is a 9/10 figure if you count in accesories.
>>6271219
One man's trash is another man's treasure.
And this is one hell of a treasure for me.
>>6271161
Figured I'd do the same. Waifigs are best figs
>>6271330
No kidding. This series is full of useful parts.
Decided to make that chinasaur with broken leg a part of sky pirates crew.
Funny how she's the only one who will be used with lego just because she was the worst of the bunch. But her defect makes her unique. I want to make a story for her and give her a name.
Oh "him". Its not a JW stuff anymore.
PS:
Also there is a WOJUT in the crew.
>>6271365
>Waifigs are best figs
wrong.
husbando figs are superior
>>6271130
Thanks anon, glad you like it! But I think shreep ranching is just a side business for him. How about "Woj the Agrarian"?
>>6271392
Keep her a girl and make her best pals with Clancee
>>6271394
Why not both?
>>6271119
They should release more battle pack types so you can buy the monsters separately from vehicles. I'm getting piles of wheels from all these Nexo sets that I can't find any uses for!
>>6271397
>Keep her a girl and make her best pals with Clancee
I wanted to make her friends with this one. they both quite injured. May be it was "Cyren" who found her and made her a new leg (Cyren minifig supposed to be a mechanic)
>>6271406
also that damn wojut
i cant get over how pure and perfectly kind his smile is. Only in europe people could design such a "pure" smile. Not overly cute or kawaii-esque.
Every time i look at it i believe that love and human kindness didnt die yet.
>inb4 that's deep man
>>6271119
God fucking damn I love the vehicles in Nexo Knights. King's Mech is near perfection.
>>6271437
Wow, I don't think I've seen Aaron's car get praised once before.
I don't think it's all bad. Will probably pick on clearance.
>>6271437
Seriously, You love the vehicles?
You're in luck
>>6271446
weren't there also a bunch of others? Wojciech, Woculus I remember
>>6271446
>WOJTUŚ
sorry. Wojtus...w o j t u s.
Okay lel.
I want to get one more to make Wojtus-Punk.
Just imagine - TWO MEMES IN ONE!
>>6271463
also i will name that one Wojut
i had that on my tongue sinse the first time i saw that post back in the day
>>6271463
the wojtuses are small enough to sit on a shark's head like a hat
and there's a hulkbuster bench pressing the shark
while surfing a space limo
>>6271392
I've got a WOJTUŚ head in one of my want lists, but it never occurred to me to make one a Sky Pirate.
>Keep her a girl and make her best pals with Clancee
This, completely!
>>6271197
Thanks, she is one of my favorites as well. She leads the totally radical Spooky Samurai Squad
>>6271365
shit, now I need to make a lady knight
>>6271516
This meme is going too far.
[toyspoiler]So who's gonna make CCBS cheeky croc with Cragger-head?[/toyspoiler]
>>6271516
>if you will turn eyes upside down to make them super sad it will look like Krocki, No klocki clown and WOJTUS had sex and this was born

>>6271405
stack em into towers/cylinders.
>>6271516
Wojtuś creator here. Amazing name.
Someone needs to do the No Klocki clown with the Wojtuścat face
>>6271549
Now I kind of want to do that with my tires to make a junkyard display
Anyone have any tips for making a Rhino bigfig from Spider-Man using this?
Any minifig heads that'll line up with these eyes/that'll look good with this?
>>6271554
>Any minifig heads that'll line up with these eyes/that'll look good with this?
no such minifigs.
chima used different eye positions
>>6271570
Can somebody please tell me what a wojtus is? And what ccbs stands for?
>>6271570
brickbuild it.
Fuck me, I don't know what to buy from the Lego shop. what's the best bang-for-your-buck set right now?
>>6271580
>what ccbs stands for
character and creature building system
It's the late Bonkle/Hero Factory system with ball joints, bones and armor shells.
>>6271392
She should be some kind of ground scout
Maybe with a rider/tamer
>>6271516
All this croc-posting reminds me of the croc I made when I was a kid. I remember wanting the JP Bull T-rex because it could eat people, so I just made a croc that could do the same.
I'm trying to make a Kato Yasunori minifig. What parts would be ideal? Yellow or fleshie is fine, but I'd prefer yellow.
Finally watched the lego batman movie. Am I autistic for wanting baturion and excalibat?
>>6271001
>Put figures on baseplates, in rows
Best I have is probably this; close enough?
>>6271676
Can't you just buy excalibat if you want him so much?
>>6271676
>>6271001
>Put figures on baseplates, in rows.
Tried to make it more interesting. I only recently got back in to lego so apologies for it mostly being newer/current sets.
Shitty sigfig front and center.
>>6271653
The old policeman hat in blue, head from the CMF series 7 evil knight (not a perfect fit but it looks suitably evil imo? Alternatively Orient Expedition had a generic evil Chinese grunt - pic related - whose head could work), torso from one of the soldiers from the 90s western theme (they already had white hands usually) or from a SW Bespin guard (I think there was more than one version but they always had similar uniforms), a blue cape?
>>6271681
Oh shit I should've looked that up. That's pretty dope. Still wish they had a baturion
>>6271676
There was a leak showing the centurion and Clock King alongside figs which were all released already so expect him as a polybag or book bonus, most likely.
>>6271696
Rhino is a guy in a rhino suit
>>6271001
>>6271691
Really? Fucking Sweet I'm gonna try and get those two figs now.
>>6271676
Of course not! As another anon pointed out we almost got the Centurion Bats.
>>6271722
And the Batcalibur was shunted to Dimensions. Very good odds of another exclusive with the box set, though I'm not currently aware of any.
>>6271722
Who's that cook next to rubber duck Batman?
>>6271722
man I wish they used that Dr Quinzel instead of Nurse Harley. also that Legionnaire Batman is pretty fucking sweet looking. can't tell if the tuxedo one is just a shitty picture or like a party goer who got the shit kicked out of them.
>>6271722
>We'll never see the full extent of batman's assorted costumes in lego
Kill me. Maybe someone will sell customs if they never make more.
>>6271736
She's in the Arkham Asylum set though, all of these showed up somewhere eventually asides from the cook Joker(?), centurion and Clock King.
>BL order is Ready
>S@H order hasn't shipped yet
Monday can't come soon enough, I need my klocki.
>>6271728
Poison Ivy in sexy disguise!
Sup /lg/. Rate my bathtub
>>6271749
I'm not buying the Asylum set. mostly because the jumpsuit villains looks lame. secondly because I have no room for it.
>>6271755
>Stickers in the water
REEEEEEEEE
I'm jelly. All the discount stuff I get has the figs picked out.
>>6271755
Not bad. Jump in!
>>6271766
>>Stickers in the water
>REEEEEEEEE
WRONG.
The only thing with stickers in the water are the police boat hulls. Everything else is a print, surprisingly. And I only put the boats in for the picture
Someone redpill me about arealight customs
>>6271244
Looks really nice
Anyone have any tips for re-applying crooked stickers?
I got a bunch of used pieces from BL with the stickers sticking out over the surface they are supposed to be on, making it hard to place pieces next to it. And very small stickers placed almost diagonally across a piece that should've been horizontal.
I did some googling but i don't have a heatgun (wich is a shitty idea for durability i suspect anyway). I also didn't find resources on what glue might be not too agressive if the adhesive of the original stickers doesn't work anymore.
Is anyone experienced with any of this?
>>6271795
>>6271795
the villains look pretty good, I want the hammerhead shark guy and spaceman for sure
>>6271795
>THAT SHARK-MECH
whaat?
it looks extremely complicated. I wonder how many parts in it? how much it will be?
I wont buy it tho...kind of boring like an enlarged regular action figure from He Man or something like that.
fun looking but in Lego form it will be super expensive
>>6271806
>implying they will make a set that is movie-accurate
They're gonna downgrade it a shitton just to make it reasonably affordable.
>>6271806
It'll probably just be a build for in the movie.
The Lego the ninjago movie sets, much like the other the lego movies will probably be scaled down to be more affordable. Just look at Emmet's constructo-mech in the movie vs the official set they produced.
>>6271795
>>6271800
I love everything about this so far. That Squid mech looks especially swooshable and the dragon looks amazing.
>>6271795
I hope the jellyfish ufo thing will be a set, it looks nifty and wouldn't even need to be simplified too much unlike the mechas
>>6271706
Nice collection
>>6271800
I'd bet even money that they don't make that awesome octopus head piece. That villain "plane" is pretty interesting.
Can't wait to see what the CMF line is going to be comprised of.
>>6271819
One or two of the villains will be part of the CMF series like the western and secretary robots were in the TLM one so there's a decent chance that we'll see the octopus guy there even if he won't make it to any regular sets
Are speed champion wheels and fenders on LDD?
>>6271831
I sure hope so. Also hope they go light on ninja variants.
>>6271849
Yeah.
In case anyone cares: Got this bootlego Ghost Rider with the detachable flames.
Most of the figure is about Lego quality, except for some leftovers on the chain links.
>>6271868
Here's the trans-orange flames piece by itself. For some reason the figure comes with two identical head pieces.
>>6271868
That's another bootleg though, this is the Dr. Inferno/CMF mad scientist hair, not a detachable version of the flames
>>6271580
>Can somebody please tell me what a wojtus is?
Basically a printed face brick on some minifig legs
>>6271868
That looks a lot better than Lego's version. SAD!
>>6271799
I've used a heat gun lots of times (not for this) and it would probably be too hot for the plastic stickers. I would try a regular hair dryer on low heat.
>>6271755
Whoa!
Those boats really float!/out of 12 possible points.
>>6271755
You should have taken everything apart before you put it in the water. Wet pieces are harder to separate than dry ones.
>>6271890
These water/plant monsters were never anything more than illustrations, most likely done by an independent contractor with no real knowledge of what sets are planned for next years
>>6271552
That would also be cool. I meant that some of the hard plastic types interlock and make neat spacy greebling/filler. Also, mods are asleep, post mechs.
>tfw wanna use my millions of spare lego character accessories but don't have an idea
Give me an idea of what to make. I mostly have star wars themed/fantasy/knight accessories.
>>6271910
This is the closest to a mech I have.
>>6271880
Nigga you blind?
>>6271806
Isn't there a rumored $300 D2C Ninjago set?
>>6271926
An adventuring party vs another adventuring party, each with its own unique theme and snacks.
>>6271880
>That looks a lot better than Lego's version
nah you just having shit taste
>that stupid literal red hair
>that autistic looking skeleton face
>non detailed jacket
>compared to picrelated perfection with glowing fiery hair and cool face, nice jacket
Shitty bootlegfag. You keep surprising me.
>>6271933
n-no
I only did it a little and wear glasses
>>6271948
fucking neato
will report back
>>6271934
No, just a prize for the stop motion contest valued at $300
So probably just a lot of sets
>>6271934
That would be weird, since the 200$ d2c Ninjago set sold like garbage.
>>6271950
the Lego hairpiece looks like a deformed lump of crap and I'm the one with shit taste
>that autistic looking skeleton face
>non detailed jacket
you're right about these, and the bootlego hair is inferior plastic but still looks better.
If that hair piece was molded in Lego's trans orange it would be perfect, but TLG had to make a new mold because fuck knows why.
>>6271974
Your bootleg hairpiece looks like a fucking fruit snack, faggot.
>>6271755
Nice Ganges River MOC.
>>6271974
The bootleg hairpiece is just painfully and obviously recolored hair
It's also less detailed but mainly it just doesn't look a bit like fire
>>6271868
You got the wrong bootleg hair. The other bootleg one looks better.
my tiny collection so far since i only recently started buying some lego again. I wish I had my old stuff from years ago but sadly I do not.
ok sorry for the blogpost
.....anything cool i can build? I'm not that creative with original stuff sadly that got left behind as a kid too...

>>6271986
I ordered both. This one came first. When the other arrives I'll compare them to the official one, because everyone cares so much.
>>6272002
>y-you're autistic!
>he says while on 4chan's toy board
Nice rebuttal as to why your hairpiece is better and totally doesn't look like a chewed up Flinstones vitamin.
>>6271977
Your mom's a fruit snack.
>>6272022
Ghost Ridder bootlegfag here. Didn't do the post about autism awareness. I completely get why all the hate. I'm not going to try and defend. I just posted it because I know there was some interest in the variety of removable flames.
Sorry about the screeching that ensued.
>>6271997
Group shot. With apologies for interrupting hair chat
>>6272039
Relax, let it go, we'll get bored and pick something else to bitch about eventually.
The bitching part by the way is mandatory.
Soooooo how about those Women of NASA?
>>6272039
>>6272030
Fruit snack guy here. I thought the bootleg guy was another shitposter and thouhht autism guy was bootleg guy just continuing to shitpost. Bootleg guy, if you were honestly just sharing I apologize. I still nwver liked that hair mold though, even when it wasn't being used as fire. Anyways, bootleg guy, was he the only bootlego you got?
>Selling other toys for legos
It never felt so right
>>6272042
Wut womynz. I've heard something about an ideas set but other than that idk.
>>6271443
I just hopethey eventually move on to some thematic building range like the previous Castle themes. The peasant houses as depicted in the show alongside the central bell towers in each town look like they'd make a nice set.
>>6272033
>4 wide and 6 wide in the same city
pick a scale annon
>>6272042
Pretty disappointed about that one, myself. Doubt it'll sell well and it'll be an expensive minifigure parts pack with nice overpriced parts.
Not to mention, I think it's quite a boring choice, nothing against women and/or nasa, but if I wanna learn about women in nasa I'd just search it up and read about them, not buy a 50 dollar toy.
Maybe I'm not American enough for it.

>>6272092
Mostly the second and third waves.
The first one was pretty good.
>>6272092
No. Chima is a blessing.
>>6272102
Nexo is exactly the same as Chima, good figs but most of the builds suck. the battlesuits are miles better than speedors(sp?) though.
Ninjago is better than either of them when it's good (the green dragon from last summer, mechs) but when it's bad, it's nearly unsalvagable.

Of the three lines Chima is the best, but other than the Legend Beasts and some army builders there wasn't enough in the series to get me to buy the sets, mostly I BrickLink'ed the figs.
>>6272113
That's why there's BrickLink...
>>6272120
could you hotglue that for me
>>6272092
I don't know about that. Just not catering to what you like isn't a mistake, except maybe to you. Did they shelf warm? That would be an indicator of what, to Lego, would be a mistake.
>>6272126
Um no.
>>6272064
That's like saying that a smart car is the same width as an SUV.
>>6272105
>Nexo is exactly the same as Chima
its fucking not.
Chima overall was way better more original and had huge variety of sets.
Also the variety of minifigs was way better.
The show was better too. It even won few awards.
>>6272134
Are you the guy who was gushing about that mammoth a month ago? Did you ever get picks out in the snow before it all melted?

>>6272150
Sorry we have to deal with idiots a lot. Its hard to see sarcasm!
>>6272155
They're no worse than those who don't want to see Poison Ivy wearing her sexy mustache. Disgusting!
After years with no lego I saw some cheap sets today in the store so I bought two. Is what I made reasonable/not too much of an abomination given what I have?
>>6272173
The important thing isn't our approval but how it makes YOU feel. If you're happy with it then great! If not, well, the magic of Lego is that you can always take it apart and build anew!
>>6272043
>only bootleg you got?
Not by a long shot. I'll have lots of Marvel and a few DC bootlegos. I just got a set of eight pairs of Nexo Knights with little robot companions. Also have some Ninjago with racing motorcycles. And of course I have the Romance of Three Kingdoms minifig set. Right now I'm waiting on a bunch of Tron-esque X-Agents stuff from Kazi.
I post some stuff I get it in /pbbg/ like I'm fucking supposed to.
>>6272192
But do you have the Ninja Segways?
>>6272126
So I just literally today revived a bricklink order with a used bird like that one. What should I do? If there's a demand, I'll upload stuff for youtube.
>>6272198
I should convert my Commander's golf cart into a segway. I don't suppose there's instructions for those bootleg sets using Lego?
>>6272092
Chima was great. DeviantArt was a mistake.
I didn't like the neon green jungle stuff and the fire and ice stuff had some cool sets, but so many of them looked uniform. They should have stuck to the first style. Single-themed waves for a property tend to be the downfall of a lot of toy lines in general, so I've never really liked them. "Here's ___, but as neon recolors!"
>>6272220
Each set had a page of instructions and all the pieces are copies of Lego parts. The unfortunate reality is that none of them can stand up on their own without leaning way forward or backward, I'm probably going to just scrap them all and combine the parts in a larger build.
just bought ultimate macy cus waifig
also some dimensions sets for the minifigs. holy shit they're cheap now.
>>6272198
I don't have ninja segways!
Anything special about the figures? Or just basic bootlego?
>>6272198
you know these contain chemicals that are harmful like lead
>>6272266
Not too much remarkable about them I guess, just nice to get a ninja, a skeleton, plenty of weapons and segway parts for a toonie a set.
>>6272267
Thats a crock of shit made up by purists. People have done tests and its exactly the same ABS plastic that TLG use!
>>6272275
search "knock off lego abs" Its not hard. Sure some of the KOs could have shit in them but the big well known ones like Lepin, SZ and Decool and many others are just ABS
>>6272076

>>6272284
What you should be asking is if there is additional shit with the Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, ABS will only be ABS
>>6272308
I just looked it up on the wikipedia and I'm stealing this: "The proportions can vary from 15 to 35% acrylonitrile, 5 to 30% butadiene and 40 to 60% styrene." So that's a fair amount of wiggle room to make a product that isn't the same as TLG's. Obviously add ins are going to be an issue as well.
>>6272284
Going against that same reasoning salt is salt, however some asshole might have put lead with the salt
Anyone have any warcraft customs they can post?
>>6272314

>the other, "better" one?
Here's the other one. If you're capable of having varied opinions on bootlego stuff, this one's probably better than the other.
The seller where I ordered mine doesn't have any more, but if you search "Lego Ghost Rider" the first few returns will be this:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Single-Sale-Marvel-Super-Heroes-Avengers-Ghost-Rider-Minifigures-Building-Blocks-Sets-Bricks-Figure-Children-Kids/32784703782.html
If you dig a little bit you'll find the one I posted above. Not that I think you'll want it.
>>6272407
Thank you very much, gonna order one of these soon
My only wish was that it was trans-neon orange instead of trans-orange so it would glow under UV lights.

Wow, that was a fast response! Have you been watching the thread this whole time?!

And finally, to keep from being TOTALLY off-topic, here's my "guys on a baseplate" entry.

Once again.
Wojtuś is a Polish name - from Wojtek
It's the character I have created to interact with kids on Lego workshops I do.
Kids love it because they never know what will happen next,
Wojtuś is also a race of creatures.
If you want to make your own you need that face (or any 1x2 brick face). Tthe name of your Wojtus needs to start on W (or V), and it needs to corespond to ONE POWER your Wojtuś has.
Example:
Voyage (Written Włajaż) - Wojtuś uncle that only passion is to travel and to see ALL THE THINGS
Wojenka (Litteraly Miss War) - The mistress of all martial arts.

Man I watch a lot of shitty cartoons, watched all the Chima (For Cragger) And all I can say is they tried to make show for 4-6 y olds while 8+ theme. IMO is that what killed it. Too much sets was too hard for kiddos to apreciate.
Also too many Minifig repeats.
The show itself was a bore fest beside maybe like 6 eppisodes all toghether - Like always Lego shows are the best at ending episodes.
>>6272385
New ghostboosters looks great!
>>6272595
I personally find it a missed opportunity to not use the halfling concept further than that half raven half eagle mad sciencetist. It would have been interesting to have a tribe of halflings as its own faction.
>>6272603

>>6272595
Nexo Knights on the other hand is a show that is stuffed to the brim with Monty Python (not just THG) references that a kid probably wouldn't understand.
>>6272608
It is? I honestly don't recall any, and I've seen the episodes multiple times. (both nexo and monty python)
>>6272603
Chima was full of missed opportunities.
I would rather focus more on speedorz and customization, and later season on the war.
It really bothered me that Speedors (IMO a very well thought Lego gimmic), were never a focus in show while they were marketed as such...
>>6272612
I can see that, it bugged me a bit as well that the whole speedor tournament and everything was supposed to be such a big thing, yet there was barely anything related to the vehicle itself.
>>6272609
On the top of my head, there are references to the "banana shaped" quip and the Black Knight in the first season. Memory is fuzzy but I'm certain there was another in season two, as well as one to the three questions scene.

Thanks anon! I want to get a new set of legs/toros for him, the only elements I really want to keep are the wacky gun, head and helmet. Might have to make a backpack or something for him.
Also I got dimensions set 71216 because it was like $10 and I really wanted a Samurai Nya. I thought the samurai mech was lacking so I modded it to actually have moveable knees/elbows.It's a neat thing (now) but wow dimensions sets suck so hard. Even for $10 and really wanting the minifig I feel ripped off.
>>6272626
>i forgot to attach my image
wow I'm trash
>>6272631
It matches Color with Eris maybe make a mech for her?
>>6272633
Hmm you're right, it does match this particular print of Eris (although I want one of the bluer prints. this is the dimensions version).
I really want the Eagle Interceptor version of Eris but that version is the most expensive for some reason... I'm a major nerd and really don't like bricklinking things in general but I'll probably have to. All my local second hand toy stores/thrift stores have "people they call" for lego which means all minifigures/valuable pieces/sets are pick before they hit shelves... I know that buying off bricklink supports those dickheads and it'd make me feel bad.
>>6272635
You can get used Eagle Interceptor on E bay. Its a great set
>>6272639
>it's $30CAD sealed + shipping on ebay

is this bizarro lego general?
More sigfig shit; decided to go full on with the sci-fi explorer type theme it previously hinted at!
-Added backpack with chain to gun. The antenna has a blue camera on it, it's the eye of his AI companion on his treks through the stars!
-Beefed up the gun and replaced sword. Decided to go with the silver, red and gold theme for it and everything else. Do you guys prefer this barrel to the previous one?
Thrown in a bonus pic of my working 8-shot battlesuit/mech super shotgun I like to call "lead wall". I can post details on the firing mechanism if you guys want.
I'd like to get a dark-red torso for him, especially a sci-fi- one, and to replace the hat-stud with a gold one. Definitely adding a open top gold stud to my bricklink wishlist.
Any torso recommendations?
>>6272684
Is Stud.io any good?
>>6272693
Stud.io is ok but it is mostly for people to make it easier to add parts to Bricklink wanted lists. If you never plan on building anything IRL with the files just use CAD since its the most comprehensive.

Hey /lg/ I decided to redo my sigfig, but my imagination ran away with me, and I ended up with pic related.
Characters are, from right to left:
- Gordy, an AIRSHIP MECHANIC, and sigfig of yours truly
- Doctor Clark, a WORLD RENOWNED EXPLORER and professor
- Michelle, UNDERSTUDY TO THE PROFESSOR with exploring ambitions, and LOVE INTEREST to the mechanic
- Vincent, a powerful FOREIGN MERCENARY. His SKIN COLOR is a bit offputting to the others, but his strength is necessary for dealing with the SKY PIRATES that have been seen in this region as of late.
First order of business for this bunch, finding where they parked the LANDING VESSEL.
Gordy is using the compass on his MULTITOOL. Vincent would rather just BURN THE FOREST until they can see it after Doctor Clark points out that their landing vessel is also MADE OF WOOD. Vincent calms down.

>>6272585
To make the inevitable sushi pun in the movie.
The movie is separated from the show that had a mix of different villains from sneks to spoopy skeletons. The fish theme and costumes may look silly but to me it makes the movie more Super Sentai.

>>6272842
I like it. I'd maybe move the front wheels forward 1-2 studs but that's just me.
It's pretty simple and blocky, but that just makes it a great base for greebling and playing with the details. You could replace the three 2x3s in front with one of those big roof/hood pieces for example. Next variant 4x4 hood piece with curved slopes to the sides. and so on.
>>6272847
Well the world of Ninjago is two huge islands, they're surrounded by ocean and the villains have a dangerous sea life theme. Also seafood is usually associated with asian cultures.

Vents are a nice start for greebling, but try making a little more elaborate detailing. It's a good start, but the sides are too bare. Even something like one of these between the Mixel towball plate and the angled vent on the leg can add a little interesting bulk.

>>6273374
Fuck, I just realized it was retired. It kind of sneaks up on you. I always meant to get it but I was just waiting for a sale.
>>6273386
That's what I waited for. I think I got it for $60, but didn't dare to wait for it to go lower. That turned out to be a good idea. Bought a bunch of green and sand green bits to replace the purple, and I think I want to order the parts to double up the greenhouse. Also think I'm going to replace the clock with some kind of window.
>>6273388
>>6273386
I did the "waiting for sale" bit too much. I think something between 60-70 is the lowest I saw and hesitated too long. Sometimes I catch really good sales, sometimes I push my luck. I missed the changing seasons house because it was only 10% off and figured it would go more. It did when they put an additional 50% on ALL marked down items in toys (clearing out most of their Christmas stock to allow them to reset and rebuild their toy department) and I missed it. Still kicking myself, but I did get some Ultimate Nexos and battlepacks for dirt cheap to ease the pain.
This is probably TL;DR or blogging, but I guess we all have our own "waited too long" stories that leave us kicking ourselves.
I honestly thought the MM was gonna reach half-off, but it never did. Still waiting for Ecto-1 2016 to start getting marked down.

The real question is how.
I'd like to know. I want to put symbols on the torsos of the Super Sentai group I'm putting together.
Is there someone who makes them? I'd like to know since I don't have a printer at home.
>>6273488
I'd look into what your local computer/office stores offer as services. They can print on all types of stuff and it's pretty cheap overall. If you're really not sure, you can also "demo" printers at lots of techy places. Most new printers have a USB slot and can print from it. Buy yourself a pack of printable sticker paper, put the images on the USB stick, and go to the store. You can set the paper type on the fancy printers and then make several copies. Or don't. And that's how you make the employees of you're local office supply store think you're weird.

>>6273553
Technic is okay, it's good if you're more into the engineering side of Lego. Most people here are mostly into system and minifigs but don't let that stop you from posting some pics.
anyway that looks like a nice set. One nice thing about big technic sets is, people put together alternate models and sometimes publish instructions, so when you're tired of the official builds you've got options for something else. Dig around flickr and eurobricks to find them, some examples:
here's some guy's F1 car
https://flic.kr/s/aHskjmHKJC
and here's a pretty nice convertible

>>6273564
Changed up the front end a little. I find that posting pictures is the best way to realize all the things I don't like about a moc.
>>6273553
That set is actually on the rather high end as far as prices go. Not nearly the highest, but definitely in the top third of prices when viewing what is typically there.
It looks like a nice build though!
As an engineering student, I enjoy technic. It's nice the different functions that get put in (gear shifting, steering, engine movement, etc) that don't go into traditional sets. I don't enjoy rebuilding it as much, though. Less options that I can figure out that work well.
>>6273600
same guy, and I just like old Technic more than the new studless aesthetic. Plus it's easier to integrate with system bits like those grills on the second one, which is really just a modded set 8832.

Fair enough. I've never worked with them, but do the notched bushings funciton any differently?
>>6273645
Well now I'm jealous, great deal! I hope you have fun putting it together :)
>>6273462
It's supposed to be like a sharp ehvron thing used to bash enemies, while the other is a claw. Thank btw m8
>>6273648
Yeah, thanks mate
>>6273641
Not really, except the notches of course, those can interlock with some liftarms and pieces like pic related to get specific angles.
>>6273574
For me it can be pretty good for making custom limbs with CCBS MOCs but I've been expanding a bit with adding system as well. Eventually I want to make something that uses all of them in a balanced way.
Buildeng the cars again. Mostly the same one i already built, so maybe a bit boring.
Not sure if anyone remembers, but i once posted a gray, matchbox connectables beetle. That was a big inspiration for making the first red versions of the beetle and coming to appreciate the car in general. So now i kinda went full circle.
Bathtub anon here (who also happens to be happy airship crew anon); built this today from some of the pieces I got at a garage sale yesterday. Pretty happy with it as a ground-transport for evil dudes from space. I can't decide if these guys will launch an assault on the airship crew or not. Seems a bit jarring from the Victorian explorers vibe I was going for, but who knows. Only time will tell.
Some anon here mentioned how he thought the original red beetle was getting a bit out of hand and losing its original essence or the feel it was going for. I agreed. I was just kinda messing around seeing where it went for the most part.
But now i wanted to go back to the roots and make a more finalized and stock beetle (and the most amount of stock i'll allow myself is a sleeper ofcourse).
It was not only a real puzzle to find a rim/tire combination that looked sort of consistent front to back, actually implementing it was a real hassle too. I now have this weird off-set 5 wide axle setup, it rolls really well though.
>>6273638
I have that hair, but the character doesn't have a ponytail.
She just has short blue hair and sometimes a beanie.
>>6273666
It does work very well with ccbs, yeah. Any pictures of that thing entire?
The cockpit and roofline is morestretched than the original. Pif's automotive waifu always had a hard time to sit in the red one. But she can lean back comfortably in this one. So now they can race together i them.
I thought it was funny how the red one rakes forward pretty aggressively, while figures also have to sit on the edge of their seat to fit. The grey one on the other hand almost looks like the rear sags mirroring how figures can sit in it.
Other features are covered safety taillights(because i don't have transred 1x1 round tiles), a rare blue steeringwheel (because cracklink impulse-buys) and purple interior (a reference to the decos on the connectable car) with a forgotton piece of pizza in the back. (funghi surprise)
what movie will be out after ninjago?
i kinda hope we get another "general lego" movie and not a specific theme. first movie was the best one.
>>6273694
>what movie will be out after ninjago?
The Lego Movie 2
>>6273699
is this confirmed?
>>6273690
>covered safety taillights(because i don't have transred 1x1 round tiles)
kek
Nice cars anon!
>>6273689
Found a shoulder design that much to my liking, as well as finally getting to use this club/saw piece finally.
>>6273121
I'm in the same boat as you. It's a lot for 1 set you'll build once and maybe slightly Mod out later.
I've spent much less on 30-40 pound lots off of CL that keeps me happy for months and then some.
>>6273685
In a perfect world you'd want something like this in blue.
You know, if it were a Lego piece and not also a novelty helmet.
>>6273704
That looks damn cool
(even if I had to open in photoshop and adjust brightness to see anything)
>>6273714
Or maybe slightly less messy.
Is someone able to put this https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=bb739&idColor=63#T=C&C=63 in dark blue, on the Newt Scamander (pic related) fig?
Interested to see how well it'd line up with the coat printing on his legs.
>>6273717
Yeah, my lighting is a pain in the ass. Here's something I made using two King's mechs (mostly)
>>6273712
If I didn't have my girlfriend, I'd have impulse bought it a couple of weeks ago. But now I'm trying to convince her that it's cute, and that we'd have fun building it together. I think it might work? But not this week. Maybe next.
>>6273668
I like it
>>6273735
Nice shoulder assembly, I think I'll definitely steal that.
Also, Knighton is in the Star Wars universe. The old yellow-faces one. That's my new headcanon and I'm sticking to it.
>>6273740
That's how I got my gf to do it
She's still not super into it, but if I have a new set she'll want to build it/rebuild it after I make it
>>6273744
Those ball joint bricks with axles inside them is a real help.
>>6273740
My GF don't care about my hobby because it's my money that it consumes and not hers. I have 2 Creator buildings in Lego and two retired in Lepin. I'm interested in building styles and techniques and building my own MOCs. (Hence buying lots on CL for sheer bulk brick.)
Good luck convincing her. Finding a GF to build with would be neat but then I would have to share my Klocki. Nooooooooo
>>6273751
>>6273764
My wife is cool with my Lego habit. It used to be Transformers, but one day, the robots just didn't do it for me any more. That was the end of a dark age.
I mostly spend small amounts at a time (on BL or china bricks) so she's cool with it. She says I deserve it for working hard. Just wish working hard made me more money.
>>6273792
That was the same with me, though I started with more CCBS at first due to Hero Factory at the time. UI eventually found out you could make transformers with legos as well.
>>6273800
>transformers with lego [sic]
Not me. I went through a phase of trying to build transforming robots years ago. I just couldn't build anything I could be happy with, and I'm not a perfectionist.
Then again, Lego has always been more sculpture for me, not engineering.
>>6273752
Welp, I started a new mech, thanks for the inspiration.

Firestartoys has custom tattoo arms
>>6273122
Decided to remove it entirely. Who needs a sword when you have a scifi super gun?
>>6273119
I mostly don't like the sheriff badge, I'll look out for other tan bodys
>>6272712
The mech itself is just Battle Suit Aaron with some extra weight on the back to counter balance his massive shotgun. Pic related is a slightly better look at the firing mechanism. By depressing the bars you fire all 8 bullets at once.
>>6272707
Will look in to it!
>>6273680
You are getting better and better sir.
>>6273844
Add more system+technic for a challenge. I'm totes stealing that arm cannon design though.
>>6273869
If it wasn't for the back piece you could always use something like this.
>>6273869
>The mech itself is just Battle Suit Aaron with some extra weight on the back to counter balance his massive shotgun.
And I thought it sentinent 8 shooter with legs and arms D:
>>6273679
This is awsome, inspired me to build something similiar
>>6273960
Hey now that's an idea... Whipped this up quick based on that idea.
Also shot of the mechanism with the bullets ready to fire. I don't like leaving it sitting like that to preserve the springs.
>>6273986
Now we are talking!
I'm so excited. I will begetting new phone soon. so expect PHOTO FLOOOOOD
Mods are asleep, post [spoiler]fashion[/spoiler]!
Made a little speeder type thing out of 70318
Might end up making into a little buggy
>>6273679
Time Travelers
Anyone know, are we getting this in dark brown any time soon?
Would be perfect for Lemony Snicket.
Is it OK to sexualize the minifigs?
>>6274111
kys
Is this any good?
>>6274149
forgot the pic
is anybody able to show me what this hair looks like on a regular minifigure?
>>6274151
It's borring ugly build not worth the price
>>6274111
;^)
>>6273980
Thanks! I was trying to build an airship and other nonsense, but I didn't have the parts. I DID have the parts for space shit, which lead to this.
>>6274070
Yeah I was thinking that. I have plans for these space assholes.
>>6274151
If you could get it from MSRP, sure. But it's not worth the 150 it goes for on BrickLink these days
If you ignore the special printed pieces, you can part it out for less than $30
>>6274175
waifg time?
>>6274188
Only four image slots open.
>>6274191
4 waifigs > 0 waifgs
>>6272842
I like it dude, maybe replace some of the studded pieces with flat ones?
>>6274199
I was thinking about that, I often like the studded look, but a car might benefit from being smoother.
Sadly some bits I can't smooth out, like the roof, as it would make it too thick.
>>6274201
I understand what you're saying. I'm often torn between wanting to have studs or having a smooth finish. I personally don't like having much of a mix between the two.
>>6274201
6 x 6 tile exists in a bunch of colors
R8 my robot
>>6274217
green/10
In all seriousness I think he's pretty cool, got a very classic look to him.
Do you review lego by the way?
>>6274218
Thanks. I tried to build something younger me would be proud of. And yes. I am on the Youtube.
>>6274227
Well that was meant to include me asking you guys what you think of my moc. I made it out of only parts from the most recent rebel x-wing Star Wars set
>>6274230
How possable is he?
Good work on the legs, I always find that the hardest part when making mechs.
>>6274218
Oh hey, I didn't think to link you, but here's the channel. It's a dead thread, so why not?
https://www.youtube.com/c/ProLegoChannel
>>6273668
Looks good anon.
>>6273679
That looks almost like a real set.
Maybe better.
Very good anon.
>>6274111
ask your psychiatrist.
>>6271747
Bootleggers have done a bunch of them
