I love this guy's design but I don't Nexo. Instead I think he'd make a great minion for Ultra Agent's Infearno. One of the things really lacking from Ultra Agents was only Toxikita had any underlings. I'm surprised more villains didn't have any since Lego does love to sell battle packs. For the good guys they could add a basic agent.
>>6267739
Tox's boys had a great design. I wish I'd remembered it when people were talking about making slime monsters last thread.
>>6267669
Good.
i can see Lego making a modular inspired by this. at some point they're going to run out of "regular" city buildings
>>6267719
I'm going to buy this when it will go on sale. It looks like a great Mod pack.

And those guys make great minions for the Penguin!
>>6267793
They look like they'd make terrible minions. what are they going to do, pat people to death with their useless flipper arms?
>>6267803
Obviously the flipper arms would have hidden blades to stab people to death with.
>>6267803
Nobody said they'd make EFFECTIVE minions, just that they'd be great for The Penguin. They're Batman villains, they prefer theme and theatrics over actually getting shit done.

So I haven't been paying attention lately, but I've got a hankering for a good orange Nexo torso to remix with one of my orange Galaxy Squad guys. Of course, effing Axl and his special snowflake body makes me sick.
Short story long, anyone know if his torso can be disassembled without breaking shit, and if so, does the smaller regular-torso-shaped piece actually have armholes and printing all the way up? It looks like it to me, but I don't want to destroy my only copy of Axl.
>>6267778
Id love a historic castle town but that seems a bit too "European" for modern city stuff, or at least the modulars are pretty firmly American designs

Getting my first big set since my dark age with my tax return but I cant decide between the ninjago tower or the bank. Which ones the more fun to build?
>>6267959
How does the actual red mech compare to the movie?
Because if there is a dragon set that looks like that it will be amazing
>>6268041
The tower has several small to medium sized builds while the bank is one big build. It's just a matter of how you handle some tedium, because the modulars can be tedious to just lay down a lot of bricks
>>6268046
>compare
Don't. The amount of toning-down tlg has to do to get a lego movie vehicle into an actual set is absurd. Especially the larger vehicles. Seriously don't even hope to get anything that even closely resembles the vehicles that appear in the movies. It's just not feasible. Shit that appears in the movies are several thousand pieces, pieces in colors that don't exist, and have no need to consider gravity or structural stability. They were built to look awesome, not to translate into 1:1 toys.
>>6267969
Sadly neither those tooth plates or the 1x1 version exist in regular yellow, and I wanted a bunch of little tooth details on the nose because of the name.
>>6267970
As I build it! 8 orders incoming, will probably need another 10 as I'm at the point where shops don't have more than a few of the odd pieces.
>>6268041
Get the Temple if you only want to buy just the one set mostly for display. It is a thing of stupid magnificent beauty.
Buy the Bank if you want to have something more to mess around with and can see yourself getting more big sets in the future because the expert modulars are like diving into the deep end.
Imho buy both. I've already drowned.
>>6268063
>having to compromise an amazing design because of piece/color availability
God there's no worse feeling.
>>6268066
It's worse than that - the orange+transgreen had a lot more pop than yellow+clear, but too many parts don't exist in orange and the smaller canopy is only in clear
>>6268031
This guy is undoubtable supposed to be Moliere from Atlantis.
Just received a fairly large parts haul.
Time to start a Batwing MOC.
Someone mind showing how old light gray airtanks look on a light bluish gray minifig?
Did my best editing the photo, but does a part like this exsit?
I want reddish brown on top and white towards the hands. Printing doesn't matter all too much. so long as it isn't super complex.

>I think I'm the only one collecting them. Could be wrong.
I have a collection of one. Haven't really tried that hard desu.
>>6268171
Considering the thing is a solid tower and the weight/size is smaller as it goes up I'd imagine so.
>>6268054
Yeah I know, I was just looking at it on my phone and the builds looked smaller
Now that I see it clearer I can see how complex they are
Also the dragon head is one huge molded piece which is weird
I just got an order in with a bunch of red bricks and 5 skeletons

>>6268269
I wouldn't be surprised. Those dark red "brick" bricks are probably super useful.
>>6268273
I figure you could buy them separately cheaper (I guess it depends on the quantity), but I could be wrong.
>>6268269
I actually need a good bit of dark red blocks to finish making my house. I'd buy it if I got a deal.
>>6268275
Apparently there was a Snow Globe in 2016 that came with 25 of them in Dark Red, so the price isn't awful.
>>6268053
If it helps it did win me over, though most of them I did get on clearance. I found an awesome deal on Toxikita's helicopter and bought three of the damn things which was all they had on the shelf. I've been trying to figure out what to do with the containment walls. Sadly even with three I cannot form a complete enclosure. Maybe something for a zombie display around October.
>>6268000
I just wish his helmet and armor weren't connected!
>>6268279
Must have been a good deal because I'm seeing bricklink offer a much better deal on the red than direct from Lego. Which does often happen. Lego wants a return on material cost and a profit, bricklink sells based on their own market pressures and an overabundance of the part tends to drive prices down.
>>6268285
I only got one, but I tweaked the window portion of that wall into a backdrop for Spidey. It's just techy enough to work.
>>6268288
25 parts in a 210 part set were dark red bricks, makes sense that the price is pennies.
I can't be the only one that fucking loathes how so much of lego is a tie in nowadays.
Lego Minecraft is fucking cancer.

Quick question from a Cracklink virgin: when I'm buying somethign using PayPal, am I supposed to use the "Pay for goods" feature or the "Send money" feature? I feel like "Pay" would make more sense, but that would include a fee for the seller. The invoice I got uses the word "send", though. Am I just overthinking this?
>>6268392
>when I'm buying somethign using PayPal, am I supposed to use the "Pay for goods" feature
Yes. Seller pays a fee.
>>6268392
>Am I just overthinking this?
There is absolutely nothing about about an overabundance of caution when money is concerned. I don't have the answer you seek, but I felt that was worth saying. After all, asking here is free. When in doubt, ask.
>>6268392
>>6268392
You always want to use the Pay for Goods option because that gives you protection in case the seller tries to rip you off.
However, if you're just doing a buy from someone here in the /lg/, it's OK to just use the send money.
>>6268392
Cracklink if you are addicted to mini-figures and mini-figures accessories. For sets its worse than Ebay but for accessories/pieces its the best.

Says who? Last I checked, Lego is one of the most successful toy companies in the world. I very much doubt that they need to be stingy with the billions and billions of dollars they have at their disposal.
>>6268709
Lego does hundreds of new molds every year. Most of which won't ever be used outside of CMF. At least that could easily appear in some other set, unlike some stuff like Simpsons heads and half the parts from Disney
>>6268465
>>6268635
Just over half way through and this is already my favourite set. It's so huge and detailed. Only thing I don't like is that all the minifigs are classic smiley, would expect a little more for the price tag.

I had a chance to pick this up for 4âŹ, but I passed on it, since it was missing the owl and maybe some other parts, didn't really look that closely.
But should I go pick it up regardless? Now I'm having second thoughts
>>6268851
I have it, but I was on a lego games binge when they first came out so I got it for that.
The parts are fairly common, 4 euro aint bad if it has bits that you want.
What should be the 3rd set in the Simpsons line? Not that its ever going to happen but Id like to see Moes tavern. Simpsons is dead huh?
>>6268881
Moe's Tavern would probably be the best, or the comic book store. Flanders' house would be too similar to the Simpsons' house, and most other iconic locations like the school and power plant would be too large.
A power plant build similar to the 60's batcave could be possible, but probably not too good.

>>6269098
Submitting something expecting to win is the best way to grind your enthusiasm into nothing.
What's a decent price-per-pound to pay for bulk, used Lego? $5 per pound? $10?
>>6269137
I think slightly less than ÂŁ10/kg is usually standard if it's bulk loose Lego and you can't see any minifigures or anything "rare". American conversion required.
>>6269103
>>6269128
>>6269129
No. Maybe you're just looking at the staff picks or the "popular this week" section, but just scroll through the Discover tab and you'll see that 99% of the submissions is trash that would obviously never be accepted by lego.
Ideas is not a MOC sharing site, it's specifically for submitting ideas for lego sets that you want to be made. If you just want people to see your moc post it to reddit or brickshelf or something.

You ought to use actual gears to the tracks roll as well.
You know, for extra awesomeness. It would also be cool if you could widen the calves to be 3 studs wide instead of 2, then use the same treads as the ones used in the OP image.
Would add extra stability and would be easier to make rolling treads with.
Also, pic of the whole moc?

The focus of the pic related is the gun, everything else is just situational extras.

The rocket raccoon polybag minifigure.
I got three of them at once, so I still have rocket as well

Plenty of muscle; needs more Wizard.

Boba Fett has the same extended barrel but with a different color

>>6269381
>actual gears to the tracks roll as well.
I did try this in earlier prototypes, but doing so would involve sacrificing their functionality as ankles. Personally I'd prefer them to be working and sturdy ankles for more posability, instead of having functional tracks that basically isn't all that important to the moc.
>use the same treads as the ones used in the OP image
While you're probably right in saying that they'd look better, truth be told, I've already ordered 76 of the small black treads that I need to swap out the brown ones, and I'd rather not let that money go to waste. Those little treads are deceptively expensive in large quantities.
>pic of the whole moc?

Already got the small TLBM set w Batman and Joker. Do I get pic related next?

>>6269552
Or this?
(Mainly wanting for the figs, don't really care for the rest. Am setting up my modular set-up with TLBM figs)
Either way, am probably also going to grab a few TLBM CMFs. Might get both sets *shrug*
>>6269555
IMO the cuteness of the figs in the catwoman set outweigh the coolness (heh) of the freezymech.
Get a zodiac, join the fans of the zodiac master! There are dozens of us!
>>6269552
It's a really cool set. The mech is really n-ice. I'd say its a (frozen) solid choice. It actually uses the same base as the nexo battle suits. So if you haven't got those, I'd say go for it.
>>6269555
Now hear meow-t. The build is far from purrrfect and the bike is kinda big. They really milked the fact that you're buying it for the figures and skimped on the builds, In my opinion.
Hey /lg/, help me pick a sigfig!
>>6269555
I like that set, nice option to get cheap Robin and Batgirl plus Mew Mew is just a sweet little bonus. I really need to do something to expand on that pitiful storefront, though.
>>6269552
Sadly I find the Mister Freeze released years ago to be much cooler. Although I like the animated series so the googles aren't bad, the overall design just leaves me feeling cold for some reason.

>>6269598
The whole build got misaligned for some reason. I couldn't fit a 2x4 inside the hull span and other bricks wouldn't fit where they obviously would fit because LDD decided the bricks were now chinese knockoffs.
If i wanted to fix it i pretty much had to dismantle the whole thing and rebuild it.
so if i had to do that then i might as well do something different.
>tfw sizing hull around the tracks instead of tracks to hull because too lazy to rebuild tracks to fit hull revisions
>>6269621
nice Pereh there. Good job.
>>6269648
it would actually be nice if i attached the picture.
Tracks are a pain to rebuild and make fit again so the hull ended up kinda too big for them.
>>6269653
>I'm not sure that the dual faces really add much
convenience, mostly.
>>6269651
Nice hull shaping.
those tracks usually bug the shit out of me with how narrow they are, but they work on a small tank like this.
>>6269648
I've had that happen sometimes, usually it's when attaching an assembly with both stud and clip connections. Sometimes sliding on a bar will allow the assembly to ignore stud alignment when placed and fuck everything up.
pic related was inexplicably reduced to $9.99 instead of the usual ~$15 at my nearest Target. i impulse bought all 9 in stock.
>>6269667

>>6269642
The side profile's proportions heavily remind me of a Volvo P1800 wagon and I fucking like that a lot.
Anyone buy the Nexo Knight blind bags? Are they worth buying a whole case?
>>6269692
You mean the bags with the five shield powers? I guess if you wanted to maximize your chance of getting one of everything but you'd get a shit ton of dupes. I guess you could resell the ones you don't need later, but it would probably just be easier to wait for someone else to buy the case and then buy the ones you want individually when they try to resell.
I just love this set more and more. There is never enough places to customize.
Now i added this sabertoothed cat head and hands as frontal figure.
It looks like a clusterfuck on this photo but much better irl.
>>6269704
btw that hand is actually a leg for this chinasaur.
It came with very loose left leg and she can't stand without falling so i did just like that other anon - replaced broken leg with robotic leg!
I know i was talking about how cheap these were but again - you get what you paid. I'd rather have a proper Lego dinosaur...
Its like we should open Chinasaur Reabilitation Center or something. How many more of these will suffer from limb problems?
>>6269704
>There is never enough places to customize.
Meant to say "there always some more parts to customize"...or something like that.
damn my english.
>>6269279
I've bought a few sets in the past when I was into it, but there's just so much of it now, I kinda don't care anymore, I'd prefer lego's own franchises like Nexo knights and city (it has nice things)
I do wish I was into Lego when they did lotr sets.
>>6269667
Good job, my dude. Though I do wonder why the old stormtroopers are in these sets, instead of the first order ones
>>6269713

I put some of my new hoverklocki to work this week and made a pair of red vehicles. Good to hear that, as I'm sure many will want the death troopers. Nothing worse than having a figure you really want in a massive set.

To be fair, the Death Troopers in the $100 set come with nice black shoulder capes.

I've been buying them since I could find them. I am really close to finishing the collection without having to buy a case or bricklink any. As I get closer to completion, I have begun to consider just buying the final few. More in line with your question: How many are in a case? I've been told 35 packets by a few people. I'm not sure anyone has even confirmed that you get a full set if you buy the case. Anyways, I'd say you'll probably not love the amount of duplicates you get.

Quick question
I'm a Star Wars Stan. I enjoy sets from the original trilogy 4/5/6. I noticed these rogue one sets out and they look like they fit into the ones I collect. I'm confused is rogue one just another Star Wars rebels series. I just don't want to buy the ships and stuff only to realize they don't fit into my imperial 4/5/6 theme.
>>6270405
Rouge One was a movie released last December that takes place right before the original trilogy. As such, the sets from it should blend in pretty well.
>>6270405
>I'm confused is rogue one just another Star Wars rebels series
It's a movie that lead directly into Episode IV, how did you miss that?
>>6270405
At the very least, pick up a Rogue One AT-ST while it's still available. Fits Episode 5/6 dioramas much better than the old one.
>>6270405
Rogue one is set exactly before A New Hope, so everything was designed with the original aesthetic in mind.
So visually, they'll fit.
>>6270415
The last star wars movie I know of was force awakens and I haven't seen it. I was unaware of rogue one till I started looking through the lego deals on amazon and saw it on sets.
>>6269720

>>6270443

Its a Modular set but not one of the modular theme

Its modular as in each build has several parts that can shuffle about so you can have a wide house or a tall one, or even stack in weird ways!
Its like you will have a living room. kitchen, bathroom bedroom and 2 roof parts. You can put them all together in different shapes!
